Let's Visit "Allbrands" in Lake Charles, Louisiana

[Music] I am at all brands in Lake Charles Louisiana on this store is on Dillard loop and I had my husband bring me down here because I needed a ruler so let's go inside Merry Christmas [Applause] hi Becky how are you hi Nate I'm good how are you doing I'm doing good wow this is really a cute store I like this thank you really nice oh you have it all done it for Christmas very nice your store is decorated more than my house cuz I haven't done a thing other than throw some quilts around so well well how long have you been here uh well I've been with all brands for about two years now but I've been a store manager here in Lake Charles for one year okay great so why don't you show us around sure sure well we've got a lot of machines machines really to suit any kind of sowe're so if you're looking to machine embroider we've got that we've also got these awesome quilting frames with quilting machines on them and we've got machines for beginners as well so I mean we've got all kinds of awesome stuff one of my favorites to play with right here is the unique machines because they're just a blast you can walk up to them they're stitch regulated you kind of just hit a button it's not responsible for the design though right it's not but this one is robotic so if you want to make it responsible for the design you can do that as well okay boy that was really simple that's neat say we just hit the button and go you hit the button and go I've heard good things about Canadians they're very nice nice yeah so we've got all of our other machines over here so we've got all of our embroidery machines one of my favorites that just came out is the still air making this beauty this is the one that uses the iPod this is the one that uses iPods or you can actually just use any Android or iOS device oh really yeah so if you have an iPad you can actually use that as well it's really great they have the my design snap app that you just load on to your phone here and it allows you to take pictures of anything like coloring pages or even if you have something that like a kid or your grandkid drew you can actually take that and convert it into an embroidered design and have the machine stitch it out Wow actually have an example of that over here on the still air xj1 which is the combination machine we have a little coloring that a kid did and we had that stitched out oh that's precious look at that Wow why why is this hoop different what is this this is actually because of the method that the machine uses to read the hoop whenever you're using your phone so whenever you take a picture of your hoop for it to show up on the machine that's what it's reading oh okay so if we wanted to see our background fabric on our embroidery what we could do is we could go here and select whatever it is that we're wanting to embroider let's say we wanted to do this little dragonfly right here we can set it and then what we can do that screen looks a lot like the luminaire it is it's really large and that's one of my favorite things about it too so what we can do here is we can actually take a picture of our hoop and we're gonna do that through the brother snap app and what we're gonna do is we're gonna hold our phone over so it took a picture of our hoop uh-huh and we can now send it to the Machine and then it's gonna ask us to put our frame back on so you would take a picture and lay it in like a coloring page or something that was drawn and lay it in the hoop and then take a picture of that and then do it that way if you want but you can actually also do it without having to do it in the hoop so if you just see something that you want to convert you can take a picture of it and have it send directly we're just doing this because we want to see our background that we might be embroidering on okay mm-hmm so you can see right now we're seeing our whole background so it allows us to put our little dragonfly wherever he's not in the way oh that is just amazing and you can also use this with your snowman like you do on the luminary or the pr 10:50 X you still have that capability it's just a little bit different awesome that is just amazing now the solare is an embroidery only machine right there are actually two other Dallaire xj1 the stellar xj one is a combination machine so it does both okay and then there is the still air XC one which is that one over there and that one is actually an embroidery only machine so it's really great because it's one of brothers largest embroidery only hoops currently okay it's a nine and a half by fourteen right you can do a lot in that one whoo right especially if you love doing in new projects it's really those are some of my favorites it's like instant gratification I know right they're awesome I have a purse but it's done that's great so yeah they're they're great machines as flares are some of my favorites that's really nice you have a lot of neat machines here so oh well thank you yeah let's keep looking we've got all kinds of stuff we've got the B Q series machine what is that which are brothers sewing only machines sewing and quilting so if you're not interested in embroidery at I if you're not interested in machine embroidery at all we've got these right here they're they're great because they have that longer arm depth so you've got oh right a really big space to get your quilt under that right so you could put the role of the quilt under there and I'm moving around and you've got this really large table right like that yeah you've got this extension table that goes with it as well Wow really really hats great and you've got a lot of great features like on the BQ 3050 you actually have a built-in laser guide to help keep your stitching straight yes I need that right right so what about the what about the the person who just starting out what's a real good machine that you don't want to be overwhelmed by all of the the buttons and although everything right there are two really good machines I would say it depends on if it's something that somebody wants to be a little more portable or if they want it to you know be a little more stationary okay so that's a real good way to go about it right right if you're wanting a machine that you're not gonna be lugging around a lot I definitely recommend the PS 500 it's got a slightly longer arm depth than most residential machines huh and it's very simple to use you've got your you know main ten stitches right here on the keypad that you can just select from you know quickly if you need to but then on from there you actually have all of your other stitch categories that keep that can select from uh-huh and you've got hundreds of stitches on there so so you've got a lot of options with what you can do that's great so that's predominantly that's like garment sewing garments sewing you can use it on some quilting okay so great now if you're looking for something that's a little more portable I always recommend the NS 80 this one is one of my favorites too it's a great lower machine so that's a good machine to go to seminars or classes okay right in the stitch selection one of the things I love about it is the stitch selection is so easy you literally just rotate the dial this to the number you want so if you want to do buttonhole 47 you just keep turning until you get there and that until you get to the stitch you know I love that because sometimes on the one that has the categories you have no clue I always have to refer back to the little card right that comes with the machine because I have the PC 420 with me and I have to have the card to know what category I need and then I have to kind of figure it out from there by pushing the right and left button right this is really simple this is a nice little thing I like that that's one of my favorite things about it is it's just kind of one of those machines you can walk up to and turn to your stitch quickly and get going and get going well great that's really cool well show me around some more well she got hers oh so if I wanted a new I I have a I have a Janome 900 cover stitch but if I wanted to get a brother cover stitch we actually have two different cover stitches we've got the CV 3550 right here was just actually a double-sided cover stitch oh so you can have it do a double sided or single sided whatever your preference is okay and one of the great things about that is a lot of double sided cover stitches are only gonna be on more industrial machines you know okay this is something the Soudan of unusual you would want to do this kind of stitch on top for like activewear right you could do that on active wear and a lot of people also use it as decorative elements okay they can you know do actually if you look on the sample right here they have an athletic top and they just did a whole bunch of rows of different cover stitching double-sided nice and it just it gave a little flair okay great and then we've also got the single sided cover stitch right here this one is a smaller version it's the twenty three forty cv okay nice yeah I have two of these ten thirty fours they are pretty awesome they are they are fabulous I love that machine I had but I have a third cover stitch a third serger that it was actually number two and I'm not gonna say the brand of it but I ended up trying another brother 10:34 in place of it because right that thing is you just thread it and go so easy it is so easily yeah and that's one of the things that you know a lot of people they walk up to a serger and they're really intimidated by it but when you open this one up they make it so simple because it's all color coded yeah so you'd literally just follow that little color-coded path and you can have it threaded in just a few minutes right right I love it that's great so what else you got here around the store I love that you have plaintiff so I try to keep some blanks in here we've got some little pink t-shirts and little dresses for kids that's great so you have blanks for people to get and we've got all of our scan and cut accessories over here yeah look at that you guys so if you need anything scan and cut wise you can come in here and pick it up right in the store you don't want to order it you can certainly get it here so I see you've got the 24 inch you have mats for both the DX and the previous versions we have the DX and the previous versions at the moment I don't have the 12 by 24 mats for the DX series but I'm hoping to get some of those in singles okay great yeah that's good awesome awesome okay and lots of patterns and lines of patterns as well and we're trying to expand the amount of material we have so we've got all kinds of great material over here as well right and these are quality quilting Cotton's and yes okay we carry a lot of great brands we've got Mota fabric finders all kinds of good stuff very nice little boutiques okay oh look okay thank you guys pay attention he's got a unicorn an embroider buddy unicorn it's a pink one okay it looks like he's got two of them I do at the moment there's two of them got one down here as well because you know these are high quality requirements yes so if anybody needs an embroider buddy unicorn I've got to it he's got two in stock you guys these are hard to come by they are unicorns a funny story I was at a dime event designs a machine embroidery event in the woodlands and they had one unicorn and I got it and while I was in line to pay for it a lady comes up to me and she says um you know my daughter my granddaughter loves unicorns I'm like yeah mine does too and she says so would you be willing to part with that one and I was like I think I'm bigger than her and I can take her there's no way you're gonna pry it from my cold dead fingers lady so let's let's look around some more hey guys look who's here my bus driver my lights man yeah there's the there's the nice guy that put my lights up the other day were they hard Oh extremely don't you doing that you know how many ladies said they want those lights need those lights I know you've got it you've got quite a bit of fabric here lots to pick from some shirting yeah okay all right and we've got some Sala here's your Bella solids yes we just got in just in the top 100 I believe so these are already hot 100 colors of motive Ella solid absolutely have to have Bella solids for quilting you've got to have them for session and the other the other half of those quarter those triangles and the geese and all of that so very nice you've got a fairly good selection here of fabrics I like it oh well thank you yeah very much I'd be in here definitely being in Louisiana you cannot skip out on Maudie Groff fabrics which I have over here on this side so I try to keep these in stock all year so all of this right here is all Maudie Gras themed print Wow okay that's awesome yeah and we've got some that are reflect a little bit more of the local vibe so we've got ones that have our little the crawfish of course off educators womp sand crabs alligators the whole nine pelicans yes mam awesome we've got all the threads that you need we've got Robison Anton and exquisite over here we've also got brother simplicity Pro embroidery threads as well okay oh and I see you're carrying the exquisite very exquisite stabilizers yes ma'am oh my goodness you have a bunch yes that's great that is great I try to keep anything and everything in stock for whatever anybody kidneys and what I see a sign up here for classes what are the classes that you offer oh we offer all kinds of classes beginners sewing quilting all the all the awesome stuff as a matter of fact in March we're gonna be having an OE SD class oh so if anybody's interested in that you definitely need to check that all right how many people can your classroom hold well generally it just depends on the size of the class because sometimes what we'll do is we'll move some of the inventory and make a bigger space so that more people will fit however many we need to bet that's great that's really that's really nice so okay and then you have a lot of the feet that you will need four so here's a full bunch of Bernina feed accessories feeds okay and we have our brother feet over there as well all right this is great we've got more things over here okay and lots of accessories yeah we got all the notions everything that you can think of this is really great I like it and currently we have a warehouse sale going on on some of these designs over here on this table so right now all the designs that you see right here are actually 9.99 each and if you buy two you get one free great okay so for any of you locals if you want to come in and get take a no idea you can yeah we have some Nickelodeon designs Wow very neat who knew yeah okay and here's all their classes that they have coming up nice digital display that's really cool all right well this is awesome oh we've got heat presses for you vinyl fans okay and here is the big one that pretty luminaire like that it is a blast to play with isn't it yes it definitely is I'm being very spoiled yeah so yeah and we have our new scan and cuts as well the DX series so explain to me so I have the 650 Wireless why would I want to upgrade to the DX well one of the best things about it is the automatic blade depth so you don't have to stand there and keep guessing as to what blade depth you need it automatically reads what material you're working with uh-huh adjust the blade to what it needs to be and it just cuts it in one swoop so it kind of alleviates the need to do the test it does now they always recommend doing a test just to make sure that it's cutting properly but it's it's really great it makes your job a lot easier yeah well that's great yeah maybe maybe Santa will hear that I want my well Nate thank you so much this has been a pleasure I love this store thanks for
