Let's make a vinyl/rhinestone shirt! Cricut Crafting project

coming to you with another project this evening we are going to work with the cricket cutting machine i would do silhouette y'all but i'm just i'm not there yet i want to be there yet but i'm not quite there yet um so we're gonna work with the cricket tonight and if time permits we will do a little bit of rhinestones as well for that extra razzle dazzle that you know we'd love to do on our shirts but meanwhile i want to welcome you to the show this evening and also let you know that we have a facebook group you're welcome to join if you're into the crafty sort of thing and you want to i'm struggling with the bills matter of fact i just placed the order for they said they had like 40 veils at this store and when i placed the order they just canceled it yesterday i was like sorry we don't we don't have any and they gave me the money back i'm like bro how am i how does this work but anyway it's all right ain't super worried about it because we will definitely still be ringing bells around here and we may have to change colors and do limited edition bills until the purple ones come back but we'll figure it out until then yes you are more than welcome to request a bail but you have to be a member here on youtube in order to get one other than that we're just gonna chill out tonight it's gonna be kind of a slow night i had a long weekend as you all know already because i went live friday was it friday what day y'all did i go live i can't even remember anymore because that's just how crazy is being and i know many of you want to know if the jackets were finished and the answer to that is for the most part so i did get most of them done but there's a few like two definitely i didn't get done completely i did part of it like the front and the the words across the back and the stones but the customization part did get done so there's a long story for that but for the most part they were absolutely thrilled to get their jackets everybody was happy and so now we move on to the next phase which are bling shirts and finishing the jackets that hopefully the people have paid for by now because some of the people didn't pay for their jacket so that's why i didn't know that coming up in september in charlotte there's going to be the graphics pro expo show okay so i'm letting you guys know this way ahead of time so that you can make plans hopefully to try to travel to charlotte and be here because not only is the graphics pro expo a trade show for crafting business owners okay so it is for business owners who are into the garment decorating or graphics decorating businesses right so you will get to see the latest and the greatest machines and equipment that are out you'll learn about the new innovative things that they've come out with um and you can even shop because a lot of them will have supplies for a lot of the things that we already do as a matter of fact my local uh vinyl supply company will be there and they have a booth that they set up and they'll sell so definitely come down and check it out and in addition to that you remember we have the hashtag get it together challenge git challenge right so i got my planner right here in your planner mark that date down if you are trying to take your business to the next level the reason why i'm saying that um is because on september the 16th through the 17th is the expo but the day before the night before rather they are going to have business classes they are free free of charge okay and they will have all of these business professionals there that are going to help you take your business to the next level but in order to do that you have to have a business email address remember we talked about that at the beginning of the git challenge so part of the git challenge was to get your professional email address so it has to be you know admin this is mybusiness.com you know i'm saying it can't be this is my business at gmail.com so make sure you have a business address so that you can register and be at the start here academy free of charge free of charge now and there's some other things coming down the pipes we're going to continue to remind you about that but it am pushing charlotte is hard is because if you look at all of these other ones if you look at the the description of all these other ones you will not see this right here featuring the start here academy that's only going to be in charlotte it's not going to be at the other shows so definitely come to charlotte check us out it's close to me i'm going to be there i look forward to meeting you a shirt made all right so i have a really good friend that came in from out of town and she is from the philippines so i thought it'd be really really cool to make her a special shirt that has the image of the philippines on it right and so when we make shirts now you guys remember i did prints right so like i said i'm gonna show you the shirt i'm gonna show you a shirt because the shirt was bomb.com but don't be looking too hard and i'm just saying don't look too hard at my man but you can look at the shirt all right so don't forget we did the shirt this is dtf but it has the glitter vinyl and then it has the rhinestones on top of the glitter vinyl now we're not gonna go super fancy like that tonight because as i told you guys before excellent dreams on youtube he has a channel excellent dreams he actually created the squares and cut him out for me right and and did the stones not the well he did the stones for me right so i don't have the patience to sit here and make a rhinestone thing like that so hopefully one day we'll learn to do that and get on camera and do that part but the vinyl yes that's why i was showing it to you because that glitter vinyl rhinestones will stick to that okay so what i want to do is as a matter of fact let's go ahead and pull it up so that you can see what i want to do tonight on this shirt and hopefully you guys will like it as well all right so if you look here this is on etsy and i don't have a link to this design in etsy yet but i can drop one down below but this is just a cut out image and as you see there's not going to be very difficult weeding with this at all y'all know how i am about weed now i like to eat so i only see one maybe two places on here that weeding would just drive me insane but the rest of it all i should be able to do is just peel it and it just basically weed itself right so that's the goal and then once we cut this out she said that her city or her area where she lived is right in this area so i kind of want to put like a little heart cut out right there for her area of the philippines possibly do a red heart i don't know yet we got to figure out how far we can get into the to the creativity on this but cut this out and then get some rhinestone letters and spell out philippines across the front does that sound cute does that sound cute to y'all let me know that sounds cute give this destination pages new thematic pages inside design space that's pretty cool i guess universal search that's pretty cool even though i thought the search was already universal what in the world and then more shapes shut up let's see what the new shapes are y'all all right so i'm gonna do a new project and let's see what these shapes are so you know when you open up cricut design space oh sweet arts custom creations thank you very much for becoming a member welcome to the crew welcome to the crew [Music] i checked into qriket design space they are charging ten dollars a month yes qriket design space the upgraded version there is a charge um but you get access to all of the crafts and stuff that come with it fonts and all that cool stuff so it's okay it's not a bad deal um you get a good bit for ten dollars a month i don't i don't particularly mind it but we'll see now when we open up design space here's the canvas let's go over to the left and see what shapes say that y'all come through cricket yes y'all look these fools this shape here y'all this one right here with the flat and the round at the bottom when i tell you that's a pain in the butt to find i am tripping that's what's up oh my god go cricket look and then they got others that you can get um or buy each one so if you have the qriket design space you get this but otherwise that's what's up y'all i ain't mind that little update i ain't mad anymore i ain't mad anymore so that works i'm glad they finally came out with some shapes y'all cause them what threefold shapes wasn't getting it but i had to be creative and buy it all for etsy and all that jazz and i ain't got to so that's what's up speedo all right y'all so let me bring in that philippines design so i'm gonna browse to the folder on my crowded desktop and see if i can even find it because right now my um thought process is that i don't remember what folder it was in and you know that's real sad um let us see philippines is somewhere in philippines okay nice you like it when it's named something reasonable right so here's the svg let's open that up like i said easy peasy and now for this one because it's just one shirt okay one person one shirt i don't mind and this came up in an another chat is the only reason i'm bringing this up i don't mind resizing something for one person maybe one two shirts but when you have an order of 50 shirts like a family reunion type thing changing the size is looking you know i'm gonna go with t-shirt check it was in her channel she's the one that mentioned it and it makes sense especially if you're doing screen print you don't want to come up with different size screens so one side screen is what you're going to get into this i don't care what size shirt it is so what we tend to do is find a size that will work great with size small shirts and size large shirts right so her shirts are going to be size small so we're going to go with um usually i do with wise you know i told y'all your boobs for the women the boobs are like central focal point okay so up and down you kind of want middle of the boobs and then in between you kind of don't want it to be all the way on the outside of the boobs you kind of want it front and center so we're usually i do 9 inches which is a really good you know measurement on a woman and it fits nice and presents nicely but because this particular design is a long design we're going to worry so much about how wide it is as as much as how long or how tall it is right so like right now it's 10 inches so if we get a tape measure or a ruler you're looking at 10 inches which is right here on the ruler so when you put it on the shirt which of course you can't see because i got myself small so let's bring you over and i'll put you back so when you put that on the shirt at 10 inches you know that's pretty long on me you know and i'm an exhale shirt so on a size small shirt i think i'm gonna make it a little bit smaller like maybe nine inches tall and i think that'll present better on her frame because she's small so what i'm going to do is come up here to where it says hi and i'm going to change this to 9 and hit enter and make it smaller all right and then now that cricket design space has the really cool which you didn't even see me change the size did you i didn't change the screen let's change the screen all right now up here where the sizes are this was a 10 and i just changed it to a 9 and hit enter so the other thing is cricket added the extra shapes right come through cricket so what we're going to do is cut out a heart shape right down here in the area of where she lived so let's zoom in because of course this is a little small and then i'm gonna scroll down too far so i have to scroll back up all right so she said it was right in this area here so i'm going to come to shapes and i'm going to get this new heart shape that they were so loving and added in here for us and i'm going to bring that in now this is entirely too big you won't even be able to see the country if i left it there so we're going to zoom in i'm sorry zoom in we're going to shrink the heart lord and now that i have this i'm going to set it right on top okay so this hopefully that's right um we're about in the general area and then we're going to do a cut out so who knows how to do the cut out with the cricket it's super super easy so who knows how to do the cut out hey time you how are you welcome thank you for joining us and for being a youtube who group member ray williams thank you for being a youtube group member and for joining us this evening as well so in order to do the cutout we want to select the heart and then we can hold down control and select the philippines as well right and then we come down to the bottom and hit slice okay and then once you hit slice it's going to cut that heart shape out for us so now all we have to do is scroll down too far again and scroll right back up and there's our heart we're going to select the first one and hit delete then we're gonna select the second one and hit delete and now there's a cute little heart shape in the philippines who knew yes we knew that that would be there alright so this is it um let's check the size it's nine inches high five and a quarter wide so that fits perfectly on our cricut so we don't have to worry about the cricket being too big so what we're going to do is get a piece of vinyl that's going to fit on our mat and we're going to let all of this cut out and then we'll come back to the chat and see about saying hi to some more people while we let the cricket do all the hard work over there and um hopefully this glitter vinyl is decent it's an interesting glitter vinyl do y'all think we should we since we're doing rhinestones should we do this you see the iridescent glitter vinyl i don't know come on focus focus hope it's focused okay so this is like an iridescent glitter vinyl i don't know how well you can see that let's do this number right here but sometimes you can see the glitter but you can't really see the glitter because you can't see any light on it okay so there you go you see that glitter it's more like uh it's not silver but it's got green and pink and whatnot so is that too much should we do glitter vinyl or should we do just plain white vinyl and i guess in a way i need to ask the person that's going to wear it right that makes more sense i i think so we'll figure that out here in a minute which one we're gonna do either way we gotta get ready to go on the cricket mat that what we also want to make plans for is to put the letters across in philippines but i kind of want that like i said in rhinestones because i think that would be like really cute okay so which one that in mind if you ever want to combine rhinestones with glitter you can't put rhinestones on i'm sorry if you want to do rhinestones with vinyl you can't use plain vinyl and have rhinestones stick to it it has to be glitter vinyl all right so just letting you guys know that everybody is like glittery yes takeisha hunty you just got the qriket maker 3 yesterday you gotta let me know that cause otherwise i won't know to ring the bell ma'am congratulations on your cricket three guys [Music] come through cricket three y'all i don't know have y'all seen the cricket on black friday sale yet let me know if you have because i'm i don't know we we might have to sneak a qriket three in the house and switch out because my cricket air 2 does not do print and cut remember my cricut air 2 is broken when it comes to the print print and cut so i might get the cricut i don't know don't tell my husband though because you know he ain't for me bringing in more equipment so we gotta keep this in between between all of us all right so like we said with the philippines the widest point on the philippines is five and a quarter wide all right so we need to measure five and a quarter wide because if i were to measure nine inches i'd be wasting a lot of vinyl so we want to do as little waist as we can and i'm gonna do five and a quarter inches wide and then this glitter now if you go to michaels you're not going to get a roll of glitter this big you got to get it from my vendor here in charlotte wm plastics all right so you can get the value for your money all right so let us go over and we are going to cut this i apologize we're going to cut this on the table and i need to actually change the camera otherwise you ain't going to be able to see it but you can't see my planner can't you yes oh let me grab the bell just in case somebody does something super awesome while we're at the cutting table so we are going to can you see yeah y'all can see okay so as you see this is a huge roll and i have had it for a while so i'm thankful to be able to use this stuff because you all know how i am with vinyl all right and so i pretty much just measure five and a quarter but i'm gonna do five and a half just to be on the safe side because there's nothing more aggravating than to put your vinyl on the cricket and that sucker doesn't have enough and it cuts off the mat and you sit there looking angry because you gotta cut it all over again and then when it comes to doing the letters we have our gorgeous luxe rhinestones right here because we always buy the looks rhinestones because they bling better than any other stones out there right one two three four five and a half so come on i got stuff all over the place y'all all right let me make sure i counted that right two three four five and a half right here all right right here let's get our rollie cutter boom just like that and we're gonna set this off to the side because we don't need that anymore and remember we're doing um nine inches so i'm actually gonna go nine and a half just to save myself the aggravation and this time i'm actually going to use the mat for what it's intended for and put it all the way on the nine i mean on the one so that i don't have to count with my hands y'all because y'all know how i am with math all right and boom so that's not very big that's not very big at all so i think that's kind of i think that's i think that'll work part of me wants it bigger but i think that'll work because then we're going to put philippines across the front so i'ma see if i can find or get our so with the um there we go we're on camera with the heat transfer vinyl you peel off the part you don't want and leave the part that you do right so let's go ahead and if i can stop missing where the to be now what i like to do is save vinyl scraps so once you peel this you can keep it because you never know like if you work with this vinyl again and you lose like do this again and lose an island or something you can probably cut it out of this little without having to cut a whole new thing of glitter vinyl okay so now we gotta get this to weed in between the little islands that is so flippin what the difference is between unisex and ladies of course duh but what exactly are the differences right so one of the main differences is look at the sleeve and see how that's straight out and then boxed right but notice the ladies lead it's shorter right here and it kind of angles out to slope and show off our sexy shoulders make us look you know super super cute and feminine you know what i'm saying so the sleeve is a little dainty whereas the unisex is just you know it's a sleeve right like a short sleeve then the other difference is a little more subtle and it's going to be kind of hard to see on this shirt because it's been folded for a while even though it looks like it's been thrown in a box but whatever this one and this is the unisex it's kind of hard to tell like i said it's kind of hard to tell and i hate that i can't show it a little bit better but the unisex shirt goes straight down whereas the ladies shirt kind of has a it curves in slightly and then curves out to kind of a smaller size font because the shirt is a small and she's small so i don't want to like blast her with the big huge rhinestones all over the place so let's see if we can't find like this one is a pretty good medium sized point so let's put a p up and see so in doing font with the make the cut we need to make sure that the size is what it needs to be yes it was the correct link on the chat so if you see this letter p all right i think it's a pretty decent size we again we don't want it too big in order for me to check and make sure what size stone this will fit i need to know what size those circles are so if their ss10 which is my favorite stone size to use then it'll be .13 now the problem right now is i can't remember what the ss6 size stone size is i'm gonna have to look it up but either way i need to know what size these holes are so let's break this apart and then make the cut you come down here and there's a break apart button right here at the very bottom i think it's up in the menu as well and now you can see each individual circle is there so i'm going to click here this looks like ss6 yes it is so it's two .1129 um yikes pretty sure that's ss6 so i'm gonna go to crystal glam because she has the sizes on her stuff i absolutely love that because it's very helpful to me because i can never remember so let us go to rhinestone download files and here it is ss6 she says cut holes are normally sized 0.97 0.097 all right so 0.097 so let's go back to make the cut these are bigger than that they're 0.1129 so these are a little bit too big so we're going to bring this in some drop that size down that might be too small y'all because what size is this now this is an inch tall i don't want this size point let's go to a different one so this is let's go to 5300 c and even though this is one one layer of stones that still looks too big i mean it still looks too small so i'm gonna find another one a needlepoint in time says across we'll see how it goes we'll be able to look at it once i get these cut out let's see what is 3800 b let's see how tall this is okay this one is going to be a lot bigger so let's bring this up and that looks like ss10 size so let's break this apart and i'm going to look at this size and boom one three one two so that's perfect for ss10 and according to the size this is 1.8 so almost two inches high so i think that's a great size now we're going to do spell out philippines and of course y'all i mean it's the truth it's embarrassing but it's the truth but i have to look up how to spell it i know it's p h i l i there we go p h i point is because i already stretched the p out and i got the right size for the letter p and i know that this is the right circle size if i stretch these out to the exact same size as the p then these down just to smidge more to make sure that it's the size all right so now i'm going to spread these apart whoops because it was um too close together you couldn't see the letters correctly so we're going to spread this a little bit i wish i had i can't remember if this program has the space out things evenly feature but at this point i don't mind doing it manually i think that might be too far apart down the road let's see all right that's that that's that that's that cute all right that doesn't look bad okay so now i'm going to break all of these apart and i'm going to double check a couple of holes here and there one three one one three one that's what i need to see i need to make sure that when i click on a circle up here that the circles are at least 1.130 minimum okay so now that i know that's the case we're going to grab the whole thing and bring it over into cricut but i'm going to join all these circles together as one unit right we're going to put them together as one unit because i want all of these circles to not come into cricket and have to load all those circles individually so i'm gonna join them all together so that they'll all be one okay now if you take my rhinestone class you'll understand what i mean because we do a great demonstration of how that works but for the time being we're just going to breeze right through this and save as and then not save as what am i thinking we're going to export this so we're going to file export to svg because we're going to upload the svg into qriket design space okay so we're going to name this p-h-i-l-i-p-v-i-n-e-s and then we're going to hit save it says successfully exported so yes all right so now we have philippines okay so now let's go back to cricut upload image browse and we're gonna find that svg we just made on the desktop okay so this is how you can make make your own rhinestone designs with words if you already have the font with the circles you can make your own rhinestone words right that's not difficult to do so we said that was philippines so scroll down to the p somewhere here it is open and there we have the philippines and we're going to upload it and then we're going to add this to the canvas all right so now here is the philippines that we just cut out right and here's the wording so as you see if we went across then fortunately we have glitter vinyl so we could technically put this across the philippines you know what i'm saying and it won't look too bad but some most of you are saying put it above the country like that i guess and we can put some of about need to own the software by now i swear but anyways you go right here and do registration number in the search bar and where is it somebody posted a registration number this tells you how to get your registration number if you lose it okay i don't know why when i scroll it don't show no there we go somewhere in the forum i saw somebody put the registration number i can't remember where it was at i should have saved it screenshot that but i have mine so i mean i really kind of didn't need it two months ago three months ago and the forums aren't really super busy but oh lord they do um sure cuts a lot all of these y'all i didn't even realize that i never took the time to look at that so these are all cutter um do flotches but yeah sorry y'all i've been telling people to get it for the longest and i just realized not realize but i found out earlier this year or year before that they stopped like i've been trying to get in touch with the owners but i don't know how long and i've never had anybody respond back to me i love make the cut personally but um sure cuts a lot should be able to work for you too sure cuts a lot so sorry i can't be more helpful but i will tell you this where it says it is not compatible with cricket that's not true because what you're doing is using the software to create the svg and then send the svg upload the svg to cricket so what they're saying when they tell you it's no longer compatible with cricket once upon a time way way back when cricket was first a little baby in the nursery at the hospital wearing nappies right you could use a completely different program to send cut designs to the cricket cutting machine you didn't have to have qriket design space until one day the owners of cricket was like we're missing out on some of this money they're using other stuff to connect to us we need to fix it where they can only go through us to get it and we're gonna have to pay 99.99 a month in order to do it so at that point is where make the cut wasn't compatible because you couldn't create the cut design and make the cut and then send it directly to the cricut now you have to make it an svg and then use cricut design space to upload the svg to qriket design space so that's why it says it's not compatible but really it is all right so i know that was a long explanation that only the folks who are getting into rhinestones need to know but you know you know what i'm saying uh sure cuz i upgraded years ago and added a save option for cricket oh that's what's up i i haven't used um uh-oh these t's and things are showing support in the house while i wasn't even paying attention thank you for helping pay rent these things insane thank you for the super chat [Music] thank you very very much we really appreciate the support very much very very much hey i might need to call you because my dtf machine is oh okay all right so while that's finishing it's almost actually it's done so the betty technically isn't down betty isn't what's wrong it's the cartridges so the chip the computer chip that's on each ink cartridge the printer has to be able to read each cartridge and it has to know each cartridge is present and accounted for so if it can't read that chip then it's like hey a cartridge is missing you need to fix this we ain't doing nothing until you fix it and so that's the problem i just bought those cartridges maybe six months ago i don't even think it's been six months and the chip failed in it and i don't know why so i need to either order more chips to come from china or i need to order more cartridges which those cartridges came from canada and now i'm a little sketchy because i just ordered these from you and now the chip and i feel i need to know come on now what's up with that so i'm gonna have to figure that out but until then the cricut is done as you see right now we are showing 100 done so we're gonna go ahead and unload this from the cricut and now we're going to switch to the cutting table so that you can see us pull this rhinestone template apart which is super super cool all right so here is the template and all we're going to do is take this off of the mat and if i had it on the right setting all i should have to do is peel it just like i did the rhinestone i mean just like i did the glitter vinyl okay so let's see if i got it right y'all cause you know some days me and cricket don't get along very well and then some days we're the bestest of buddies but look hey so we got it right we got it right all right so every so often you may have a dot that doesn't come through like it's supposed to so right now only one we did good y'all yay where's the applause sound we need the we need the oh it was two of them we need the applause noise yes we do girl yes we do all right so here is philippines okay so what we're going to do now is we are going to stick this on a piece of um cutting mat okay so that's there and now we're going to bling it now y'all know he loves to bling around here so let's go ahead get our stones this is the easiest part out of everything we're going to put our stones pour them right onto this template and once we pour the stones we're going to brush them in all right so we're using our handy bling bling brush and brushing those stones in and when you cut it perfect with the perfect sized holes look at that no effort hardly whatsoever to get these stones in them hole that's what you want to see if you're struggling to brush these stones into the holes then your holes are the wrong size honey and you need to resize them and cut it out right all right you got to check the size of those holes and that's what the extra cutting software is for because cricut won't tell you the size of all them holes unless you bring them all in one by one and then it takes qriket forever to load all of those holes even though they've gotten better now that they've updated the software so it's not as bad but it's still kind of like oh my god i cannot believe it's taking 12 years okay so here we go just that easily we got oh that's purdy that's pretty y'all we are going to have her bling all the way out you hear me okay so for the most part all of them were in except for three so we're gonna grab three little individual stones if we don't throw them across the table like we just did put one right there put one right there put one right here did it flip over yes it flipped over so you got to go in timeout and we'll grab you another one and boom just that quick and then i flipped two stones because i let the thing go what in the world you get it together all right so boom one more here one more here and now i'm going to be more careful and let that go because whatever reason i picked a piece of plastic that has a bow in it like a smart person and that's not smart okay so now let's get a piece of transfer tape all right so here's our transfer tape and you want to be careful and not bump the table remember because if you bump the table you learn the language and that language is not a good one all right and now let's cut us a piece of transfer tape and all of our rhinestone supplies we get from be createful dot com you can check that it should be in the description below if it's not i will add it after the show all right so here we have our word here's our transfer tape so again you make a u-shape you come straight down and lay that sucker out no guts no glory no hesitation what was this on hands down 85 i'm thinking name do you remember that hand game y'all no hesitation know something something okay all right so here we go be careful with it popping too but as you see all of the stones especially with a fresh piece of tape all those phones come right up just that easily boom just like that there you go and so we cut the country in half right we cut the country in half and what i did not do was cut this country in half so we're gonna cut somewhere in between here and then i'll put it on the shirt so but we gotta clean up first we can't do any of that without cleaning up so let's move our rhinestones out of the way i'm going to put them back on the template just in case because sometimes stones can go haywire and do their own thing move that over there let's pick these stones up because i don't like a mess with the stones and i just not so many of them the kingdom come that did not make any kind of sense all right so i'm gonna get this cleaned up let me grab my scoop i got so much stuff going on on this table it don't make no kind of sense all right boom all righty and put them back in the jar because we are done unless we do another shirt that would be the only reason to keep these out okay so let us get our country and i'm gonna lay it right here and we are looking at one two three four five six seven eight nine nine and a half remember so nine half of nine is four and a half we gonna worry about that other half up yonder so one two three four and a half my bad did i say nine oh i hope not because that would have been real embarrassing and get our rolly and we're gonna cut it in half and like i said if she don't like it then i'll make her another one that's not cut in half so does that look like half it kind of looks like half we gonna make it half cause we ain't worried about that right now okay so our shirt that was pressed which shirt is this one this is not the breast shirt this is the pressed shirt all right move get out the way get out the way get out the way all right okay so let's move that to the side lay our shirt out what did i tell y'all is the way to find out where the center of the shirt is from top to bottom who remembers how i told you to find where the center of the shirt is where's the best place center chest do you remember well just in case you don't remember it's your armpit so if you raise up your hand like you answering a question in school and you take your hand and kind of draw an imaginary line from your armpit around to the front you'll see it go straight across the boobs i'm just trying to tell you i'm being honest that's how you find the center chest so this is the center chest but the thing is because this is a long design center chest isn't going to work right because if i put this center chest look where it's going to take it up above the neckline so in that instance she just come down about an inch or two from the neckline and that's how you can determine where to best place your design and in the center i generally will take a ruler and then i will go from either armpit to armpit or i will go from arm seam to arm scene to find the center and i use those seam lines to help me out so this is 13 inches all the way across so that lets me know six and a half is dead center of that shirt all right so just keep that in mind whenever you are creating a shirt now for hers i'm gonna come up just a little bit because we want that bling to be kind of front and center for her all right so here's the top half of the country here's the philippines now we're going to do a dry run okay which is going to be a little bit difficult to do because i got the uh this this sticky paper will stick to that and i don't want it to stick to that just yet so i'm gonna put that there and then i'm gonna put that there so i can make sure i'm giving myself enough room for the country okay hopefully that's even i don't want to make it even enough right let's see how does that look it looks crooked it's hard for me to see because i'm standing at an angle okay boom just like that all right and it's not too long i kind of like how that turned out it's not super long down the front of the shirt okay so i'm i know i'm gonna be off camera i apologize so i'm gonna leave the word philippines here for you to gaze upon while i put the shirt on the heat press over here off to the side and we are only gonna have to press vinyl for about 12 seconds what do i have the heat press on i don't even know excuse me the heat press i believe oh it's on 360 which is a little hot just a little hot so you know 350 is usually what i go for but this time i'm gonna do 360 only because it ain't gonna hurt anything all right and so like i said 12 seconds i had it on 30 so that takes me down to 18. so two more seconds boom all right so this is going to be hot and we're going to bring it over oh you can smell that vinyl could grace is a life you can smell the vinyl probably because i had to heat up just a smidge too high okay i'm cooling it off some because if i lay the hot shirt on this it'll make it warp a little bit which it'll go back in place but i don't like to do that too much all right so now let's peel this off oh my god that is super cute look at that yes hunty yes ew that's pretty that glitter vinyl surprises me every time i don't know why but it does all right and so now for the absolute bestest part ever the glitter is nice but when you got this bling bling going on the shirt too you just i mean i'm just saying i'm just saying why are you even wearing a shirt if it doesn't have bling on it i mean really if your shirt doesn't have bling i feel sorry for you all right just like my shirt i have on now it will be blinged here soon but not right now i ran out of time to bling my own shirt alright so philippines i'm going to put that right there and then i'm going to measure just for my own peace of mind to make sure that we have enough room on both sides and so from one armpit to the other down here you're looking at yeah 16 inches so eight and so to me that's off a little bit because he is going through that p but let me check this actually first ten inches five inches that was right y'all look five inches halfway mark is right there so the i was right i was right pudding it was on the money look at that now i'm gonna hold this up so i can make sure that the word is straight because the plastic is crooked the transfer is crooked it can kind of that but burn it y'all this is a really good idea it turned out super duper cute all right i'm gonna put transfer i'm gonna put not transfer butcher paper on top while i press this because even though you can't see it but you don't want to put your vinyl directly up against your heat press because it'll melt the vinyl so i'm putting a piece of butcher paper but i'm pressing the stones and you want to do the vinyl first so that the stones don't take the pressure up off of the heat press all right and boom just like that let me fan it off some back on camera oh i didn't have the word philippines for you to look at my bad my bad oh this is hot because we pressed it twice y'all it's holding heat like like the sun in the summertime like a pig out in the barn that's holding heat all right y'all
