repoed to Santa Paula last night both grandma and I did not I'm not used to for like yelling at me we're in Santa Paula and we are headed to 2022 EA air Venture in Oshkosh Wisconsin so we're going back to Midwest we repo to Santa Paula last night so we're not leaving from Camarillo because Camarillo is Stockton so despite all the new avionics to the panel this is the first trip I'm taking with the new panel actually so super excited to kind of play with everything on the 12-hour flight to Oshkosh but despite all the new toys I'm still not if our current so stay tuned for that but we're going on bfr all the way so we'll do our run up here fuel selector is on the whole thing we're on the left tank because all of our tanks are full okay okay yeah we're gonna pull actually over here a little bit after that everybody else can get around trim is take off mixtures Rich throttle's coming up bag check nice little drop there we go nice drop there awesome so now we'll bring it up to 1900. this plane has the electric prop so just test the prop we'll bring the prop down in manual mode down to 1600 make sure manual mode works then flip it over to Auto and it should come right back up to full forward all of our engine instruments are looking good we'll pull this back to idle yeah amps are good and ball traffic this side goes through we can see our volts are good okay doors and windows are secure laps are set so let's put in our flight plan our gas is on the left and we're indicating left sink we don't have to indicate we get all three tanks now light is on indicators down mixtures full Rich profitable forward Auto and seat belts adjusted locked are you ready yeah I think we're pretty much clearing up once this guy goes I think so too final looks clear yep someone way out there Charlie 7 500. my name is 276. 256-59 this trip to Oshkosh is the first trip we're taking with the brand new garment panel and the Bonanza getting these avionics in here is not only made it a more capable airplane but also a safer airplane over on the left here we have the Garmin 355 GPS Comm beneath the Garmin 355 GPS I wanted another navcon so we have the Garmin 255 now come here then we have the Garmin 345 audio panel which has Bluetooth for music it has the fun playback feature there and then we have the 345 transponder as well we also have three Garmin 275 the attitude indicator the HSI and then the engine indicating system so that takes us to the next part of the panel which is the GFC 500 autopilot so I'm still learning all the different things it can do there's also wheel and lights on the plane now so bright LEDs nice fuel senders so really accurate fuel readings for all three tanks and then we also have a Mid-Continent clock right here when I went to needle Aviation I actually said I think it's something a little different I want to keep it you know vintage and they took that idea and they just ran with it they did an incredible job and I just cannot wait for this to be able to play it Oshkosh why don't we go ahead and we're going to switch to the right tank actually okay I'll watch pressure and Flow there's the right thing looks good to me you're almost to play I was gonna say we're doing pretty good 147 knots not bad so are we where are we going to park because we're going in front of we're going in the Garmin tent yeah so we have a sign that says we're on our way Graham and Hannah are just a couple of miles behind us and Grandma's Bonanza so we're taking the same route there we're at 9 500 feet after a very slow climb up to 9000 miles and uh we're on our way our looks good yeah let's go ahead and switch to the beautiful ready I'll watch yeah it's just a pretty Dollar in these storms yeah they get some nasty thunderstorms yeah it's pretty wild I don't want to get too close to that thing well in 20 minutes until Show Low so yeah I'll do a good little evaluation Point yeah more than 30 miles away that's I've never seen a thunderstorm as big before this is yeah thunderstorms on the west coast not like this I think it was I don't even know how high that would go thirty thousand maybe definitely one you want to see later so we're tomorrow night they're flying through the night and then our friend Nick has a booty and he's in Texas so theoretically he's feeding us it's interesting yep you literally cannot predict what it's gonna happen you may have to kind of do some zigzagging around there but Albuquerque is okay it's like right east of Albuquerque but there's solo so we can always turn back and go there [Applause]
