Let Us Die to Self So We Can Rise with Christ

now should us not have any power against me unless it were given thee from above in the name of the Father and of the Son and the Holy Ghost amen st. went in on Friday the two edged sword was given to the cherub and on Friday Christ was smote with the spear and broke the two-edged sword at the ninth hour Adam went down into the lowest depths of the earth from the height of paradise and at the ninth hour Christ went down to the lowest depths of the earth to those who lay in the dust from the height of the cross when Christ was smitten with a spear and blood and water flowed down from his side they ran down into the mouth of Adam and they became a baptism to him and all his children who were willing to receive it here is the saving scarlet cord flowing down from the window of Rahab at Jericho I hope you see the significance as to why this Friday is so good our Lord and out Adam with an abundance of Graces in life itself on this day and Adam lost it on the very same day the new Adam restored it on this day in a most wonderful way that is truly cosmic and he makes this mystery this one present again and again at each and every mass after the consecration and yet how much like the old atom we really are so ready to neglect the new atoms restoration oh how easily we let the flesh be our guide we love our bodies more than our souls on Friday priesthood prophecy in kingship were given unto Adam and on Friday these three valuable gifts passed from the Jews to the Church of the Gentiles born from the side of Christ they didn't not give him a cup to drink but they gave him a sponge so that they might show that the blessing of their fathers had been swept away from them expunged alas the more we live in the flesh the more we live according to the world the more secular we become the more these irreplaceable precious gifts from our Lord will pass from us to what has happened to the mass has become entertainment what has become of our priests they become secular they become fleshly lovers of the world what has happened to our ability to address air we become politically correct we're afraid what has happened to the kingship of Christ we let souls go astray acting like salvation as possible in other religions will the veil rent from top to bottom in our Holy of Holies will our Lord leave us to to prevent this from happening let us show the world how much we love the father by rising and going hence to join him on Calvary at every mass the Spirit is willing the flesh is weak pray and keep vigil and do penance so as not to enter into temptation and lose what our Savior so wonderfully restored on this Good Friday grant us oh dear Lord that through the sorrows of thy passion and those of the eye dear mother we may come to the glory and the joy of that resurrection amen in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost
