LET ME EXPLAIN

[Music] see I was supposed to be on the six o'clock flight but I missed that flight so then I got pushed the seven o'clock flight but that wasn't that didn't work out either so now I'm flying to to Denver and then from there I'll be Orleans so I've had last night at 4 a.m. it's 7 a.m. now which means to get a solid three hours of sleep and now it's time to get after it [Music] yeah so I'm back here in New Orleans I've actually kind of been here for a while that whole missing my flight thing that was like four or five days ago now and you want to hear some not only did I miss that flight they took my boosted board that's the second boosted board I've lost to the TSA I'm still gonna try to fly with it but I'm I'm down here working on that movie that I was talking about a couple weeks ago I have more more movie stuff to do so I gotta go to set right now [Music] so I suppose I owe a little explanation of where I've been for the last whatever it goes like this okay well there was Thanksgiving Thanksgiving was amazing Candice hasn't had any time to herself since Georgie since the little baby was born so she wanted to stay in New York City while I took Frannie and Owen my older kid to California to be with Candace's family so that meant I had I had oh and I had Franny and that Candice is like mom dad can't sister bye brother-in-law and then all the rest of my family my two brothers and one sister and nephew and we were all in California together is really exciting and then after Thanksgiving I immediately got on a plane and flew straight back here to New Orleans to finish shooting this movie finished shooting my tiny little itty-bitty part tiny itty bitty part in this gigantic Netflix Jamie Foxx like amazing action movie I don't know if it's gonna be amazing yet because I haven't seen it and it's not done but the directors are total geniuses Jamie Foxx is amazing the cast is amazing and it's gonna be amazing because everybody involved is just brilliant and what I've seen on set is like so that's what I'm doing here and I've been here all week and it's just been like it's been a lot of and it's been a lot of stuff that really requires a tremendous amount of focus tremendous amount of focus from me you need me and makeup okay I'll put my costume on okay okay okay okay and see while I'm doing these things like I mean I haven't been here with all my siblings in one place Searcy for a holiday so you can't assist him that hasn't happened in ever I've never been involved with like a movie production of this size before and I kind of like through this whole process I realized that you know I want to make youtube videos when I want to make youtube videos I don't want to make youtube videos when I feel like I have to make youtube videos so in doing these things family and then here at this movie I wanted to be present and I wanted to focus and that's why that's why I didn't make I've been making videos daily or anything like that hope you understand okay let me try and show you a little bit more of this movie what I can show you there's an amazing woman here from Netflix who kind of has been giving me permission and giving me boundaries about what I can talk about what I can't talk about but it's just so excited boy yeah you know my blog Carly with the oatmeal oh okay nice work I can't tell the vlog about what your role is in the movie could not allowed but you're very good at what you do Carly and all of these little trailers here these are all the stunt guys oh how awkward yeah oh good yep and this is what I would look like if I wore makeup every day [Music] last time I was on set I complained that the ward get snacks I was wrong with the snacks are fantastic I just didn't know where they were look you got salt easier for Nolan this year candy nuts here delicious coffee cereals liquid whole selection donuts huh oh wow alright then this is it this is the set behind me see you slate right here and that light is lit you cannot walk in there okay so I'm now backstage now around the soundstage where the actual set is is this whole area here all this blackness and it goes all the way around so let me try to share with you a little bit what the behind the behind the scenes look like ready so this is all some of the gears here Dahle they put the camera operator here with the camera on and they push them like a little carton that's how you get like nice smooth shots this is super cool this is part of the set here and to make it look like when you're in the set that that little window actually faces the outside is pretty gigantic light shining in there which is great this over here this is called video village and this is where like the directors and a lot of the cast is not in a scene sits while they're waiting to be called up and then these monitors here or where they can see what's being shot and filmed in the set this is the stunt squad here these guys they're really good fighters so on the set here they're about to shoot a big action sequence with lots of explosions what did I say I said listen [Music] and that's what uh that's what an action that's what the action scene sound like [Music] okay so you'll have to forgive me for my um for this shirt that I have on here let's see I needed to put on these pads so I don't get hurt but like my character has like a v-neck so they just cut the front of this off but the day is kind of over here it goes by fast today it was a fantastic day today is also my last day so goodbye magical set okay that's it I'm wrapped I'm done I have to take off my costume all I have is my ripped t-shirt and I had a pretty nasty fight sequence at the end there and I took this in the eye did you see my eye you Sarah can I have a little sympathy look at look do you see do you need a hurt are you need some ice no I'm wrap though it's nice knowing you hope to see you again sometime great day all right now I got to get back to New York City [Music] it's opening [Music]

At the beginning of this year he announces 368, and it's going to be daily, and it's going to be crazy fun-house incubator for creators and all this construction and progress and excitement.

Fast forward 7 months:

Casey doesn't want to feel like he has to do anything. 368 the building is for the most part still as empty as when it started. He can excuse him self all he wants, but he set him self up and failed his own self-imposed expectations.

I guess it's great that this time we don't need an excuse about any death in the family or "documentary" films he was making... and he just flat out wants to do whatever he feels like when he feels like. Which is exactly what he was doing before 368. So.. we're back to exactly where we started after he quit the daily vlog in 2016.

So conflicted!

I enjoy his style. Daily vlogs were always enjoyable but since beme..... I don't know. He always has 'big news' coming up etc but the delivery is frustrating. Beme promised but didn't deliver and 368 is starting to feel like a repeat. There's no denying his intention. The 368 building must be costing a fortune to get ready but.......

I can only take watching shitty tattoos being done and airport montages so much.

But, it's his channel and i guess it's his business how he chooses to spend his time. He's had us edging for so long though. Do more or don't, just be consistent.

I'm out of the loop. What happened since the Patreon guy pitched his idea to Casey and they both agreed it was going to be revolutionary. It's understood that Rome was not built in a day, but April to December is a relatively long time to at least formulate some sort of business model. Life happens of course, he and Candice did just have a baby, and stuff gets delayed but at some point you start to lose credibility with limited results. It is increasingly difficult to make money as a Youtuber, enough to make a living at it anyway. 90% of the views go to 1% of the channels. I honestly thought Casey was looking out for the 99% of content creators that are too small to make a living at doing. Casey is about Casey and good on him, he's a success by all measures, but quit with the bull shit please about 368 being for the small guy.
