Evander Holyfield he became a three times world champion and he beat a three-time world champion along the way when it comes to our era we really learnt our error like we went back into training camp we spent a lot of time in training camps and we went to old-time fighters great trainers to help us as well so we got a a lot of knowledge and we brought that back into the ring there's one situation the heavyweight championship which opponent would have the best style to stand them in good stead against Louis would it be Holyfield they're both Riddick Bowe stands up tall he could get knocked out easily if he's not properly prepared I think you found a hold of field because these law can hide for a few more rounds but eventually he'd even get caught with that sneak right hand these prove that he's a world-class fighter he can become a heavyweight champ of the world and keep the title for a long time the Holyfield's people have said that if Holyfield beats Bo they're willing to come fight Louis here I'm not sure that's a great idea I don't think they really want to fight Louis anyway if you ask me this guy's got such a Down on my right hand he's some you gotta let age a little bit like of the heap Lewis cleaned up domestically and became the first man since Bob Fitzsimmons to hold the world unified crown in my lifetime we've seen it but our children ain't gonna sit over there grand or our grandchildren they can see it's gonna be a long time before we produce another undisputed heavyweight champion in the world you know so let's enjoy it while we live but will he be remembered alongside John L Sullivan who knocked out almost 500 men the formidable jacks Johnson and Dempsey the brown bomber Joe Lewis the unbeaten Rocky Marciano and the one and only Muhammad Ali that was law public where will Lewis end up on the list finally extremely hard just put somebody here in India old-time our late MC Marciano everybody that's too small just too small friends beaten every fight of his I never got anyone and when you look back at him as I've said before his history records want to be phenomenal he's proven himself to be the dominant heavyweight in boxing now for the last 10 years Lennox Lewis fights everybody they put in front of him and he has fought the best in his division as Emanuel Steward said and he deserves a claim now as heavyweight champion once it's a mom dog is that he said I used to be great yeah you're the greatest there you are as the man who takes a quiet look under the feet of heavyweight champion into the next century how do you do what you have achieved in the public it's a great honor just to be along the same lines of Muhammad Ali achieving what he's achieved but he can punch as hard as anyone in the history of boxing with that right hand including Foreman shavers Mike Tyson anybody's in tremendous puncher got to power there's no hype about this guy he was found with a job this guy is totally cleaned out this division he's beating the Evander Holyfield twice now he just totally dominated Mike Tyson Riddick Bowe in the amateurs three rounds and that will always be over his head the young guys like grant and David Tua and Hasim Rahman in the past they're almost 10 years ago guys like Ray Mercer and razor ruddock and recently Andrew Golota I've been there done that I touched the other error which is the clips goes what did I gym don't come back but if you want to be a boxer it came to the right place I guess I appeared to be father figure that you wanna put on e-beam would start Lenox down to glory boxing and given Lenox of brand-new identity in 1986 with on 'edit side Lenox won gold at the prestigious Commonwealth Games in Great Britain Lenox sought out his biological father and met him on the streets of London we Olympics in 88 Mike Tyson is like above the god he's on top of the world so when he turned profession was always Mike Tyson Mike Tyson even with the loss is Mike Tyson's tearless and is still Mike Tyson 15 years before that fight happened how do you think it would have fared the problem was Mike always had trouble with bigger men anyway fighters like what dream fighters like Bonecrusher yet just be boxing for the money I want to be one of these boxes that when I say I retired retired and when you look back in the history books are you getting remembers what I've achieved not how much money I ever made so the money thing is not really a big thing for me so I'm saying being there done that I touched the other error which is the clips goes what did I need to do I didn't need to do anything more so it was time for me to retire you know now cover family because I've actually [Music] before I started boxing so I always wanted to box get that weight focused on my box and now the family Venice to us doesn't want to be a boxer all his life I don't want to just think about boxing all the time there's other things other goals that I want to accomplish what happened was a great lesson and I was a great learning experience for him you know you don't want one of the greatest heavyweight champion of all time he is one of the few fighters in boxing history to have defeated every opponent he has ever faced occasionally listen folks not hate you feel we should camp and that's real promoters getting the money and Freddy's good opinion but that's how it goes in the beginning Oh the reason why looks like he's not only beating down Galata he's beating down everybody who ever doubted him in the ring he says he's the best fighter in the world he'd get the opinion is the best every weight that ever walked the planet well he goes to prove that right here you know if I have two losses in my life and both losses you know Philip happened for a reason and without these losses I don't think I could have ever been as great as I am today because it really put me in a place were at two states in myself do I want to can I can I do it again do I really wanted am i a true champion and that's what I run into the conservatory well a true champion and again losing is a big trial and tribulation lot a lot of us can't really come back and fight back from a loss [Applause] [Music] I me because if I would have went through that fight and be all of them Nicole I think you know I may have gone down another bad road somewhere so in a sense this was like a teaching process for me making the right decisions and and know correcting they the world around an exclusive actually why you had the bill is like really creamy inside it is just a fight you know boxing you never know when you're gonna lose but you have to accept the winning and the losing I think there's one major thing that you said after the fight was really stressing on mine was you guys got realized you know I knew this this could happen one day and I was first started boxing we never really you know we just look there's no Linux and people it was like a weight was lifted off my shoulder you know burden you know okay I slipped I'm not perfect you never know what happens in life the only best thing you can do is basically make sure that you do your best no one can always look back and say well at least we did it correct then you know we did as a team and there's trust and Brotherhood and everything else that goes along with it there be losses in life in the sense that all you lose a job or you lost your paycheck or something happens negatively in your life that you have to be able to come back from so from from me you know when I lost the first time I knew my mistake straightaway at that time my body is way in front of me of my way of myself than one middle of myself I'm a balance is way ahead of myself and he just caught me crying the blood is like I helped him to not move you know and I knew that that wouldn't happen to me again it happened to me again but it was a different mistake and I knew that mistake wouldn't happen to me again but it was being able to come back from it you know I had people saying oh so what are you gonna do with the rest of your career I'm like what are you talking about rest of my career Muhammad Ali great hero of mine he lost three times he came back three times was the trainer for Oliver McCall back in 1994 now he's in the corner of Lennox Lewis all while I've been cleaning the other heavy weights arrived here to Michael Moore that had the whole the feel I always you know let it be known to everyone that my favorite ever lives in the world with all this things Louis the fact that you're stupid tease me about it and Oliver called included I work in rapid progress it's like when you walk into a place and you meet somebody and you start speaking to that person but it's like you've known this person all your life that's the chemistry between me and I believe that the chemistry between Linux and I was gonna make a big difference and that's something that is so important but how has that chemistry developed why have Lennox Lewis and Emanuel Steward responded to each other I felt that he made it a real good strong person that he could respect because he's a strong man that individual himself and it's a normal week person would not be able to handle any stuff a very very strong man and very opinionated that if he respects someone asked it makes a big difference the former heavyweight champions respect for his new trainer was evident a year ago when first they began working together Stewart who had been an Oliver McCall's corner the night Lewis lost his title to McCall didn't wait to begin criticizing his new pupil at that stage and always very still emotionally not completely stable personally no it's less fight he allows he's too conservative and too intelligent and too analytical in the ring it's like a chess game in a sense and it's a game where you have to use your strategy and in some situations he will become more aggressive and yet on another night the real true Linux were dominated he would become more conservative even in situations when it's not even necessary and that is what has stopped him from becoming the fighter that he is capable of being I think one of the biggest weakness was his balance and that his stiffness and he said I do and I do this what can we do to change it so that was that was one of the first things that really impressed me about his willingness to to learn and to change and accept his reforms that I think that was the biggest factor he and I are really I would say mentally on the same wavelength as far as things are boxing right there I see something that's wrong whatever I use it would have stopped in his room candy I'll say right away say I know what you want to talk about cuz there's been bothering me too especially when a man who's not there and I'm working out by myself I still visualize him training me and some of the things that he would say I needed to be to be doing mentally I would look at myself from a third from the outside and see what can come to one of my camps and learn how to conflict resolution you can learn how to be a winner you can learn how to lose correctly and you know set set goals for yourself I can show you how to box correctly because you know I find that a lot of boxes are not boxing there's a lot of mistakes that they're making and you know come to one of my camps even even some of the trainers which are boxers they said oh they've learnt a lot even come into the camps because you know they used to hold their right hand a certain way now I teach him to hold it the proper way and so how the boss is going to lace Luis League champion make sure you dedicate yourself to the sport make sure you stay humbled and make sure you listen he's a great man I got my job from him I took a little bit from him and made it my own way so I know what I'm talking about trust me that was years ago so and decades ahead what are you gonna say is why didn't I think of this a long time ago or why didn't the other heavyweights come and get me cuz I got so much knowledge giving back and making a difference is important with the fortune he's made for boxing Lennox's decided to fund the college his way of giving something back to the community I still have a cup of gold I'm obviously the main one which is the last one but other one bringing up the youth [Music] the positive thing basically is their world we're helping to KO it to a certain way you seen some of the students at the school and seeing the keenness and you know all of a sudden they have a music room or they have computers there and you can see the eyes light up and and you see them say yeah this is what I want to take I want to do this that's what gives me the satisfaction that's what makes me feel good oh what a role model what it what a way to say it's worth the work it's worth the discipline it's worth the physical difficulties you you need somebody like a Lennox Lewis to give them real real vision kids are the future so I'm building minds to the future and you know hopefully one day there can be some Mike Tyson's out there some Lennox Lewis is out there Obama's out there you know our presidents doctors you know anything they want to become they can become just you know realizes a sacrifice to put in the work find out how do I get there and go do it Lennox wanted to put something back into his local community and the idea came basically from his own experience because he'd been an early gun basically and he felt that there he was given another chance but he was given another chance by somebody who said if you don't start you out then basically than have be a criminal are you going to be dead and so the idea developed from there really that there should be somewhere where young people can come where they haven't conformed to conventional education you know if there wasn't people and things for me to do and people to step in there and and and correct me when I was going wrong or even showing me some kind of attention I don't know what I would be or where I would be today it's really giving back an investment in and young people this is what we love to do man we love the kids and we got we give one to the kids and we see it coming back kids like these they're gonna be definitely successful then let's get the big muscle so long as it's for kids long as it's something positive we're in it Lennox Lewis League of Champions foundation you know when when I leave this earth I wanna I want people say this is what you've done this is what you've contributed to life you'll be happy be very happy I'm happy now [Music] there's other things other goals that I want to accomplish so you know I feel good that I've accomplished my boxing goal that was on two other goals you know being a great father a great great husband leave that legacy to my son and he wants to come grow up and become a great boxer I'll be I'll be a stranded because I know how it's done I know what he needs to do and he No he isn’t. When I think of “greatest”, I shouldn’t have images in my head of him on the canvas with his head on the moon because a crackhead an overachiever put him there. The greatest also shouldn’t have struggled against Ray Mercer and others middle tier heavyweights.

There is no other boxer right now that has such a myth built around him than Lewis does. So much so this freakin sub puts him over Holmes. Really? Spare me.
