Left 4 Dead 2 | BRIGHTNESS FIX STEP BY STEP GUIDE

hello and this is the tutorial step by step guide on how to fix the left 4 dead 2 brightness issue as some people were having issues with my previous video not understanding it saying it still didn't work or that they were just confused so we want to do is open up the file explorer by clicking on this symbol clicking computer recycle bin or even pressing start e on your keyboard go into where leftover 2 or steam is installed for me it'll be the c drive program files times 86 steam steam apps common left 4 dead 2 left 4 dead 2 and cfg which is your settings configurations for left 4 dead 2. if you want to make any changes to the settings left there too then run up the game now make those changes change the settings to whatever you want it to be and exit the game the settings should save until you open the game again which it then resets the default or wherever uh causing your brightness to be uh messed up and being dark so what you want to do is open up the video defaults file copy this line of code if this line of code is not present in your video defaults file then pause the video now and write that in there and then save it to copy this line of code open up your video file and paste it at the bottom and then file save once you've done that copy all of this except for video config and paste it into the video default file so delete all this and paste it here but don't paste over the word config now file save so what that does is save your settings for left 4 dead to your own personal settings and saves that as the defaults so even when the game tries to default back to defaults it will just be your settings which is now set to maximum brightness or whatever brightness you say as and then hit save now right click on the video defaults file hit properties and select the tick the box that says read only so that the settings anything in that file cannot be changed apply okay do the same thing for the video files right click properties read only make sure that's ticked apply okay that should have fixed your problem and stop your brightness from going to dark again hope this video helped and it did fix your brightness issue if it did then like the video and consider subscribing thanks for watching
