Lee, Automatic Case Primer, ACP Press, Part 1

all right K24 here today we've got the Lee automatic case primer it's a new tool from Lee and uh we're gonna open this up have a look at it foreign parts kit instruction manual catalog with the app on the front this is the ACP this is a case primer press so foreign looks very similar to the app but there's a primer tray feed here trough and it looks like it it does so if you happen to have like one of these least single stage these little cheapy presses this has the same footprint as that which might be handy if you use this for certain you know menial tests or whatever but so we're gonna set this up and uh see how it goes all right so we're gonna Mount this up my bench has already got um t-nuts on the bottom side that will accept these quarter twenty bolts snug that up all right so we're going to open this parts kit up here okay slider set here be for yourself looks like these parts doubled with the app as well so you're handling cases in this point error in this press you're handling cases but these parts look like they're Universal um you've got three or two primer pieces here yeah we've got two and then this is a different piece it's not the get back to this foot small and large primer small large yep got it [Music] um so this comes installed in the Press like this just pull that out this is the set here for the small primer and then of course a large primer and they give you one and I believe this is for deca where it would allow the primer to be pushed from the top but there's a kit for that so this is like an extra part they send you if you decide to buy the Deep Prime kit so let's set this in there all right we're ready to Prime some cases here inside of the primer tray here it tells you you need to verify the location of this spring right here so that it pushes down on this this tab which it's in place and we're going to drop these primers in here and this is part of what I don't like about what's going on here primers will sneak by before you get the tray in there push the tray down in there of course it's got this shield on it the problem with that is you can't turn the primer tray on without using a pair of pliers so I'll turn it on and we've got primers here and full disclosure the other thing about this is that it doesn't come with any feed system here for the brass so foreign we're just gonna feed this by hand it seats the primer I'll put another one in there kicks it out seats the next primer kicks it out seats the primer kicks it out see it's a primer kicks it out see it's a primer kicks it out and what centers the shell there's no shell holder what centers the shell here are these fingers on the on up in here it's kind of ingenious it works really good actually and they tell you not to run this any less than six primers and I think I'm less than that now but we're going to do one more there you go okay so now I've added the case beater off of one of my other presses this is an option for this press so I've got about six primers left in this trough and they tell you not to run up less than six but we're gonna try it anyway foreign interesting that thing works pretty slick foreign
