Hello, I'm John.KOBA Yes, today I am going to tell you about six Photoshop features that I have used a lot while working as a motion graphic designer for 11 years. Today, I am not only going to tell you about this function, but I will also tell you how to design based on the function. After listening to today's lecture, you won't have to ask me about this function at all. Now, let's go straight to the 6 functions. I am using Photoshop CC2020. In fact, if the version is CC2018 or higher, you will be almost done. The first feature is the layer mask. I'll change the typography of jump a little. so In this way, I will try to arrange it like this so that it feels like a little jump up and down. Then I will copy this layer like this And now I want to lock this text in a frame like this This group Now select the group containing these three layers So here's the Rectangular Marquee Tool Drag how much I want to show on the screen as a selection like this With this selected area, right below it, here is Add Layer Mask. A layer mask is a function that makes only the inside of that area visible at the moment of clicking. this really really really essential Does it look like this now? As a layer mask is created, it hides the black part and makes only the white part visible invisible. So, if you want to adjust this area again, unlock this lock and place it like this with Ctrl + T, Free Transform. Zoom in a bit You can control it Some neat kinetic typography came out. Now, the second function is Convert to Shape. It's simply an effect that changes text to a shape. I'll show you how to use it. Once you have selected the text Superplay, right-click on it and then there is a word called Convert to Shape. If you choose this, now like this Nothing has changed, but the icon here has changed. And if you select the keyboard A direct selection tool, it is changed to a shape with a shape like this. Then you can adjust these points one by one like this. Return it with Ctrl + Z. So, I think I'll apply it like this I will increase the letters like this This is also increased in this way If that's the case, here's the super here, so I'll increase my writing like this. Now, you can drag it like this and stretch it as much as you select it. how is it? 2021 style Then this time the third feature is the clipping mask. I wrote the word Face like this, and then I prepared an image Then I want to put this image inside this text This text is what I put in the group like this Everything is like this, then put an image layer on top of this group In this layer right click image here is Create Clipping Mask If you click it, an arrow like this appears and an icon like this appears saying that you are now in this Face group. So how about a picture inside this text? Then you can place it like this with the Move Tool You can adjust the size like this with Ctrl + T, Free Transform. No matter how much you move the image, it will be displayed on the screen only within this area. Now this is the third function free transform. This is probably what I still use as a shortcut of Ctrl + T, but I will tell you how to design and apply it. Now, let's break these letters into pieces. I write like this Then copy it and put it with the Alt button. And then I copied and placed three in this way, Free, Ctrl + T Then, you can adjust the scale like this, but instead of adjusting the schedule, you can adjust the inclination like this while holding down the Ctrl button. In this state, if you hold down the Shift button, you can snap. So, like this Give it a gradient like this, give it a gradient like this. Arrange it like Trans, hold down Ctrl + T, Ctrl next to the letter and drag it in this way. Three-dimensional text appears. Now, hold down the Form Ctrl + T, Ctrl and flip it over like this Adjust the inclination to be the same as the Free here, and arrange it like this Now, the color of this Form should be slightly darker. It's behind me, so I draw it like this and then lower it Now, as a final finishing touch, if I just cleanly connect it with the line tool like this, I will adjust the inclination like this. Copy this layer with the Alt button. And the form that was here If you adjust in this way again with Ctrl + T, you can create a three-dimensional typography design. So now, the fifth function. Now, this is one of my favorite functions. Now everyone, I don't have a tablet or pen. Then you have to draw with a mouse. You don't need a tablet with this smoothing feature. Select the Brush Tool from here, then press the right button and make Hard Round and the thickness will be about 200. Yes and then make a layer I'd like to reduce the thickness a bit. One 120 or so? After choosing a color I want to draw like this, but how about it? So here, at the top of this, there's an option called Smoothing. If you increase the number, it will be smooth no matter how you draw. how about this It's so soft as if you're drawing with your pen. So, you can draw very smooth lines in this way without tremors. And here, now upload this smoothing layer I apply it after adding a layer mask. Please select black with the brush I said this fill color, then what would happen? I said that if I paint black on the layer mask here, it will be covered. So, after reducing the smoothing to about 25, please delete How about doing it like this? Do you feel like this line is in front of and behind this letter while covering up this area like this? So please erase it in detail like this. Did you accidentally erase it like this (typo)? Then, swap this fill color and change it to white to make it visible again. So if you paint it, you can paint it like this (again) This feature is very useful Now, here's the last function Again uh~ ㅇ ㅓgen Hey~ Yes, sorry, it's a function that repeats right away. I'll draw a ruler in the center and then align the center. I'll add purple for the color. I'll reduce the opacity to 50. Then copy one with Ctrl + J. Ctrl + T, reduce the size and rotate it. Enter in this state Now, if you look at Edit - Transforms here, there is Again If you press Again, it will go back only as much as you just rotated. Instead, press Ctrl + Alt + Shift + T Then the rotation is applied as it is as it is copied. This is the function called Again Now, then, from here, remove the text Again and change it to white. Now, to make it feel a little more three-dimensional, now Ctrl + G and double-click on all the copied layers, then select this group from the layer style and select Inner Shadow. By adding it, the distance is 0, and the size alone is about 50? How about if you do it? It's possible to create a design like this with a three-dimensional effect that feels a little bit like this. Now, how about you guys, the six functions I introduced today are really my Zonkova name, yes, you don't need that. These are features I use a lot. I think it would be good for you to remember it and use it usefully when designing later. I'll be back with some great Photoshop After Effects design content next time thank you for watching It was John.KOBA
