League's biggest issue this patch (and a fix)

so there is a massive issue with League's latest patch I've gotten a bunch of messages and clips from you guys and a lot of them have been from people in the North American servers but I think this is a League wide issue and not just for people on n a i Am of course talking about the crashing issue that's been running rampant over the past week There's been no official response from Riot but there is at least a temporary fix that worked for me and countless others so enough rambling let's check it out big big credit to net dog excellent Reddit for posting this there's four different settings that you need to change for this fix to work to find the league.exe go to your C drive and then to write games and then to your league folder then game and then the dot exe that you're looking for is in there the four things that you need to do are set the properties in Windows to run as administrator and then check disable full screen optimizations then in the lead client click the settings icon go to General and set close client during game to always and then in the client settings again go to game and select preferred dx9 legacy mode now this did fix the problem for me and a lot of other people however there are a few comments here and there saying this didn't work for them so if you are one of those people people I'm truly sorry but it looks like you're just gonna have to wait for a ride to fix it on their end there was one Rider who did respond to the Reddit thread and he said this we recently upgraded the in-game client to be 64-bit in the 13.7 patch this change was tested for compatibility as well as soaked on PBE but since it was a significant change that can still cause some unexpected issues we are currently investigating new issues that have Arisen since the upgrade we have noticed that some third-party apps like Discord Blitz and others may not be working properly causing instability if you're experiencing issues we suggest checking these apps and making sure your drivers are up to date let me know if this fix worked for you and if you enjoy staying up to date with League news be sure to subscribe and I'll see you in the next video
