think making big bucks means hours and hours and hours trap behind the screen think again today I'm going to show you how to make a bunch of cash as a freelance video editor the lazy way and we're going to get straight into it so I'm going to quickly clarify something to set the stage because although this will be less work it is still work this isn't some like entry level make money online hustle you are going to have some editing skills you are going to have to do some work obviously but the core here is I'm going to show you the right type of clients to Target that actually pay you more and require less work did you know that average video editors spend 4 hours of revisions alone on bad clients I used to have literally hundreds of revisions for projects like at 30 seconds change this at 31 seconds change this at 42 seconds change this it's an absolute nightmare you're practically reading the Bible we're going to identify High effort versus low effort editing gigs so let's break down higher for clads right if you're a lazy video editor you can use this video as a resource to avoid tedious heavy manual labor thousand plus revision clients that will do your headche people who expect the world you deliver something that's pretty cool but they hate it give you a bunch of feedback it's an absolute nightmare low effort clients are on the contrast gigachad clients who have clear goals understand content role in their business and don't bog you down with infinite micromanaging nightmare I've been there it sucks if each individual client requires way more effort you have less available time for other clients read this from one of my students in VP plus they say thanks yeah I gave so much because the dude was promising eight videos a month the total amount I could earn with him looked like it was going to be $4,000 but then I found out it was impossible because what he was demanding of me he said he wanted unlimited revisions I didn't care about my time at all each video was supposed to be 20 minutes long and just 5 minutes took a week of revisions and he realized it was impossible to actually edit and make $4,000 a month from this client cuz each video was going to require too much of a input that right there is a bad client if you're a lazy editor you do not want that client because it's going to take too much time for too little we're trying to find the clients that want the bare minimum but want to pay a lot there's absolutely clients like that I'm about to show you in a second the ideal editor lazy client is Lowe effort clients they have a clear business model where content drives significant value ideally they're selling a product that's bottom of funnel content is top of funnel meaning that viewers come in through the top and they convert to a product down the road they don't need the fanciest edits they need content that drives sales and usually is glorified propaga for the product they're selling or the underlying business that they have these are low effort clients these are by far the easiest to work with they view content as an investment and not an expense what that means is I work with clients who sell a coaching program they know that they'll happily invest into organic content because it means people are going to see that and sign up to their coaching program so it's an investment into content to make more sales similar to how someone would buy ads on Facebook and they'd run ads so it's no big deal for them to also invest into organic content to try and get some people through SEO and search results and try to get some clients through organic content as well so they view content as an investment rather than an expense and they're less likely to send numerous revisions cuz they want and trust you so I'll have clients who come to me who are really good at what they do like I said they're a coach that sells a real estate or there might be an ex- venture capitalist who's looking to put together a coaching program teaching people how to get you know get the best pitch decks so they can raise money and they trust me as the content strategist and usually there's a lot less micromanaging there at the lower level no one trusts each other at the higher level it's professionals hiring professionals and kind of leaving them to do what they do best you have creative control I'll have clients give push back I was on on a phone call on Monday I think the client gave some push back I'm not too sure about that video I reinforced why I thought we should make this video I reinforced why we should Target this specific audience I wanted to Target they gave in they said Jack at the end of the day I just wanted to say my point but you have creative control so focus on businesses in growing sectors who understand content marketing they're the gold mine this is who you want to Target as a lazy editor I'm definitely not a lazy person but I Target the lazy clients cuz I don't want to do loads of revisions I just don't maybe you do maybe you love revisions maybe your middle name is revisions but mine isn't sorry quick tip this guy right here Sam SAS Bounder actually made a return on investment in just the first 30 days he was paying me $5,000 a month he said right here within 30 days I've already got four sales for my program that's $220,000 he charges $5,000 a year for his Mastermind he was paying me $5,000 a month to manage content and within the first month he made four sales for his program um we worked with his client for about 8 n months there was very minimal revisions if any and we were driving results for him and most importantly he was paying a very fat retainer for us $5,000 a month is not a small retainer very easy client to work with this is who you want to work with let's throw another screenshot on screen from our friend a second ago who was dealing with a lot of revisions actually that's a student of mine in vp+ he persisted and he ended up absolutely crushing he said screenshot from the best client I've ever got since I started freelancing he records stories he writes with a microphone my friend does the audio design I create the AI mid Journey images illustrating what happens in the story which is pretty fun to do is it allows me to listen to a part or watch a video on a different screen while I'm working and occasionally he wants a video very quickly so I spend 2 days working on it and got $750 also I wanted to mention that I did five videos for him over 1 and a half hours of footage in total and he never asked for a revision he sees the video I sent and wants to pay each time something is more difficult and takes more time and I explain it I ask for more money and he agrees so this is a perfect client right there they're giving no revisions they're open to paying you more if things are taking longer now that's a student in VP plus my private members community in fact real quick if you want to go down below into the description I use brand hacking to go full-time make a bunch of cash it'll only take you 3 months we've been teaching this for a year and a half we've got it down to a 12we process you could Achieve Financial Freedom through video editing in 3 months 12 weeks come on mate it's no big deal right so let's go ahead and break something else down where do we find these dream clients the core differentiator that you should be looking for as kind of a profile indicator is do they have a bottom of funnel business is content an investment to make more sales or are you targeting glorified struggle artists who are making entertainment based content who want to be the next Mr who are penny pinching cuz they see content as an expense not an investment bad clients you don't want those so let's talk about some platforms LinkedIn has been crushing for me and my business partner Tim shout out to you Tim more Beast trying to get him to make a YouTube channel when he does you're going to want to watch the videos but until he makes it you got to watch mine he's been absolutely crushing LinkedIn Outreach for us killing it putting us on the phone with multi-millionaires every single week you can see on the screen shot right now the kind of Outreach going on on the rightand side LinkedIn has been crushing because they're the most highquality vetted leads ever marketing yourself is going to be the the next thing we obviously have a whole marketing funnel set up and you're going to want to set up a sales page a vssl and I'll show some stuff on screen from JT content assembly group.com you could see that we have a clearly defined offer establish a source of inbound leads through video content in less than 2 hours per week it speaks to our customer and ultimately we have a Ramen a reason to it you come to the landing page you go through you can book your call you can hear our vssl you can even see case studies from clients like Sam who've had serious results working for us etc etc etc video editors who specialize and show expertise in profitable niches can increase their rates by over 50% being a generalist versus a specialist is one of the big things that we talk about in VP generalists are doing a little bit of everything when I was a generalist I was filming a club on the weekend I was filming a music video on the week I was doing a promo video then I was doing remote editing on upwork blah blah blah specialist is my agency establish a source of inbound leads through video content in less than two hours per week we're targeting seven figure entrepreneurs who are making a hell of cash they don't have much time they do want a source of inbound leaves they do want to be the face of their industry we can make that happen by targeting everybody a lot of the time you're targeting nobody the more laser focus you can get the more sniper shot you can take the better your accuracy is going to be simple as that now let's avoid some pitfalls real quick you have to learn how to spot high demand low reward clients and avoid them at all costs these are people who want loads out of you and who don't want to give you much back we're talking 30 revisions 100 revisions they're paying you absolutely nothing you told them listen m i I worked a little bit longer than usual on this can I get a bit of extra cash they're telling you no chance get out of here I'm paying you less in fact not people who you want to work with right on the other hand you could work with people who are paying you loads and expecting the absolute minimum because they're usually using content as a investment vehicle to drive more sales that's the absolute Line in the Sand if you're a lazy video editor first off stop being lazy laziness is not rewarded anywhere on Earth you should you know try and associate with a different word but it was pretty popular with the keywords so I called the video lazy video editor cuz turns out a lot of people describe themselves as lazy who would have known so I'd love you to go ahead and do two things for me real quick if you guys are interested in achieving Financial Freedom as a video editor using brand hacking just like me and all my
