Las Vegas Resort Fees! UGH... What Do We Do To Save On Hotel Resort Fees?

[Music] hey there everybody Matt here with we know Vegas and got a topic to talk about today nobody likes to talk about but I'm gonna talk about it because I've got some information about Las Vegas hotel resort fees how do we feel about it no no we don't like it we know you don't like it it's just part of it so let's talk about what resort fees are then we're gonna talk about what we can do to combat hotel resort fees and give you some ways that you can save money on your next trip to Las Vegas it's what we're here for it's what we like doing okay first and foremost what is a hotel resort fee a hotel resort fee is a nightly charge above and beyond the posted nightly rate for your hotel it's also in addition to the hotel tax and any kind of sales tax or county tax that you'll see on your bill currently the prices range anywhere between twenty five to forty five dollars or more per night on a nightly basis keep in mind so what does the resort feed cover it's going to cover things like free Wi-Fi throughout your stay it's going to cover things like free access to the fitness center and things like that maybe include some bottled water or newspaper or whatever the case is nonetheless the resort fees are away for the hotels to make more money so we're stuck with that and we have to foot it okay so what are we gonna do about it well we can gripe and complain and write on social media and cry about it and whine about in all these other things well here's what we recommend doing instead let's plan for it let's adjust to it and let's get proactive and find ways to save money on our next trip to Las Vegas okay here's what I want you to do there's a link in the comments below it's gonna take you to a website and on this website it's got all the Las Vegas hotels listed out so start choosing the ones that you're thinking about let's say that the average hotel nightly rate in Las Vegas is one hundred and fifty dollars and that the room resort fee is $30 well that's about a 20% increase on your nightly rate that you'll be paying so when you're at this website I want you to look for several things number one I want you to look for deals and discounts that are 20% or more because that's how we're gonna fight and save a little bit of money by planning ahead another thing I want you to look for when you're looking at the deals and so forth on the website are things like food and beverage credit or buy-one-get-one-free buffets or free show tickets or things like that there's little perks that help you save some money because if you do get let's say a fifty dollar food and beverage credit with your stay that's real money that's something that you can use at the resort four ways to save money on your next trip so again we can complain about it we've all done it I've done it nobody likes the resort fees they guess what they're here they're gonna stay so we have to be proactive as Las Vegas travelers by planning ahead so again click on that website in the comments below it'll take you to the hotel page find your favorite hotel that you're thinking about booking find those deals and discounts it has sometimes has several of them listed out find the one that saves you the most money on your next trip so that way we can combat hotel resort fees this is Matt with we know Vegas and maybe we'll see you guys on your next trip to Las Vegas [Music] you [Music]
