The heaviest load ever moved ON PUBLIC ROADS in North America
FTFY.
There was once something called a space shuttle. The crawler that moves the shuttle weighs 2700 tons by itself, more then twice the weight of this load. The crawler with the empty shuttle on board weighs approximately (edit: removed extra zero) 11,200 tons (2700 + 8500 tons).

Interesting nonetheless. Have an upvote for your machinery porn.
I'm from there, I used to drive by there everyday. Phipps Bend nuclear power plant was never completed. It was abandoned. The only thing left is the beginning of the cooling towers. Here is what it looks like now:http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=36.463781,-82.805212&sll=36.463427,-82.804384&sspn=0.00862,0.016512&vpsrc=6&t=h&ie=UTF8&ll=36.463254,-82.80476&spn=0.00862,0.016512&z=17 I learned to drive on the gravel "field" that surrounds it. So this was all for nothing.
I was expecting a "your mom" joke.
How could this possibly be cost effective?
I enjoyed this, and it was a quality post. Good on you OP
My god, it's gotta be like 50 Courics! Don't tell Bono!
I don't think those hard hats will be too effective.
I haven't watched the video, but this gets title of the day from me.
im wondering why they just didnt build it on location?
