Kyle Richards & Daughter Sophia Umansky Open Up About How They Handle "Rough" Time | E! News

[Music] [Applause] [Music] I whether they're slaying the stage together on foxes We are family or bringing the bling on the Real Housewives one thing's for sure this mother daughter Duo is the epitome of TV gold it's Kyle Richards and Sophia you may everybody that was humbling that was humbling but hold a minute hold a minute you are the shiest of all your sisters I am how did you get talked into doing this I don't even know looking back on it now I'm like how did you convince me to do this it makes no sense to me I feel like I blacked out I don't even remember it was first a hard now yes and then I said think about it for the weekend by the way you're talking about somebody who would run from the camera no but you know do you think it was because you guys have such a great mother daughter bond that you could convince her to do it or were you a part of the process you know for me you know being a mom of four daughters you don't always have the one-on-one time with them so I thought this is a chance to step outside of our comfort zone and have a little trip together two of us we filmed out of town and you know I just thought it would be fun and challenge ourselves this is awesome speaking of people um talking you into doing stuff you and Jeff Lewis have gone back and forth for months he has sent you more flowers than anything who talked to to going on that podcast I told them the flowers have to stop I'm I've moved on to jewelry now you've seen the housewives right you've seen that I'm accepting jewelry as apologies these days apparently um who convinced me he did you know his his apology really was genuine and he felt bad about that and you know me I forgive and I forget and I you know I can't hold on to stuff like that hopefully we have a reunion on Friday but when you were on a serus xmim show you opened up about how your castmates have pushed you to be more open let's take a look look I've shared my life for 13 years on this show my marital issues to rumors about my marriage to two siblings that have been cast members on the show to my family falling apart and these people are like oh be honest like more honest I'm literally watching you guys with your dating coaches and showing your your cashmere line with great okay I mean you know that was shady yes but like i' I've shown so much over these 13 years of my life and they don't even know what I've gone through in 13 years they they have not gone through what I have gone through on the show so and not only that I was honest from right out of the gate the first scene we shot all together I said my husband and I are having a hard time and that was very hard for me to share on camera because I was processing that myself and I hadn't even shared that with our we had not even shared that with our daughters yet so I was like you don't get that you know everything before our children sorry I don't care about TV show yeah where do you stand now like is there a chance for a full reconciliation are you guys still discussing things as far as your relationship goes with Mauricio you know right now we are just taking it a day at a time and we still live in the same house and we get along I mean our girls never grw up with fighting in the house it's still not like that you know we we just don't argue so it's just trying to work through things and takeing slowly Sophia how's it been for you you know having your parents in the spotlight and having to deal with it it's definitely rough when there's so much going on at home I mean this is already a lot to process in itself and to have the whole world talking about it that's what it feels like is a lot but I have to say I am grateful for everything that my mom being in the Twilight has brought to our lives so it's really it's hard to say but right now it's rough yeah well our heart goes out too because that can't be easy especially when people are watching and it's being recorded but speaking of recordings this Friday it's the Union and one of your cast Mees said that they wanted to see you in the hot seat so let's take a look at that where does that leave us with the Kyle Mauricio thing um about about like talking about our real lives now that they're separated Kyle was on this show on Premier night and answered every question I had for her that's good so yeah we'll we do the reunion next uh Friday somebody who got eviscerated yes I would like to see everybody get the same treatment you okay all right great how do you work through that and how do you like become friends with somebody again after they say things like that that's always been really hard for me to understand I know well you know I am someone who likes to you know move past things and I am I'm a person who forgives and forgets with Erica you know in all the years she's been on the show and she's been my friend she's never stabbed me in the back she's always been supportive and I really trust her and I consider her a friend and I honestly I I'm not going to lie that stung it hurt me because I'm just having a hard week as it is so it was a little I was a little sensitive when I heard that but I believe that she went through such a hard time last year that was just her she was just kind of saying you you basically tortured me torture everybody the same right so that's how I choose to take that have you guys spoken since this no but she did give me a a heads up I texted her not knowing I said oh you look so beautiful on watch Happens Live and then she said by the way um I wasn't very nice in an after show and I thought she met at somebody else and I was like oh tell so you know it's crazy we've seen what Housewives has done for your mom's career for your dad's business for your family I'm wondering would you ever pick up a diamond yourself I can't say no I mean as you know I just filmed for buying Beverly Hill season 2 yes so now that I've done that I feel like I could maybe do this wait so you like the camera now yeah this I'm not going to say I like the camera but I'm getting more comfortable she is the shade Queen on Pine bever the hills though let's talk about that too because uh you said that you were filming with your dad so what do that been like is it different filming with Mom versus dad or it is different I mean bang Beverly Hills is all about the agency and real estate and work relationship so it's less drama but it's been really fun to film with my family and I'm learning a lot and getting more comfortable with the camera so it's been a great experience I can't wait final question I know you said that you've shared a lot in your 14 years on camera is there one thing you wish you could just take back and put in the vault and never have shown again on Bravo oh my gosh well I mean I have a number of things but I would say you know um the limo scene season one um I probably would scratch a lot of this season too I would scratch a lot of what took place this season and just sort of forget about it well we have enjoyed it and we always are here thank you guys so much for coming to join us the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills at airs Wednesday at 8 on Bravo and we are family also airs
