I like how the solution is both crude and elegant and mostly involves moving mud and water around, but with the recovery of the giant towering metal hulk by just pulling it along with a bit of chain.
this was actually neat. im always fascnated by these big companies that do these odd job assignments like this, where they have to think up solutions
I'm amazed that all that preparation and paying all those workers and machines wasn't close enough to just building a brand new one.

For a decirme like myself this looked very interesting as a problem solving exercise. Brilliant reminds me of these beaches in Bengladesh where they deconstruct ships fire a living.
I would love to have seen the contractors face when they first saw what they was up against.
"of-course, that is no problem moving this 6,000 ton piece of metal, where do you want it?"
If this was in the states they would have just claimed insurance.
