That song takes me back to my childhood. I was never a huge fan, but their music didnβt bother me as much as some 80s acts.
Their music really fused excellent 70's songwriting and that carefree 80's feeling.
My stepsister loved this song when she was like I dunno, eight or nine. Anyway, one day I've got some Hall and Oates playing in my room when she sticks her head in and and says "What is that noise you're listening to?" I say "This noise?" and get up and walk over to the turntable. Then I say "It's the guys who wrote this noise," pick up the tonearm and move it over and drop it at the start of Kiss On My List. Then I laughed at her as she realized what she was hearing.
Too bad this one isn't on Callin' Oates. 757-26-OATES for the curious, or those in urgent need.
I still think of them as a single man named Holland Oats. That's what I heard it as growing up, and I just can't get it out of my head
great album! so many good songs
One of my favorite guitar solos. It's not technical whatsoever but it just has such a great tone.
