Kingfish and MUTTON {Catch Clean Cook} Grilled Snapper on the Half Shell

this is what we're after right here y'all perfect play beautiful silver mullet I've been using a lot lately you know what they say have fate we'll fish let's do that now we're in my hometown this is Jupiter Florida and we're after fish we're gonna run up to the north look for sailfish kingfish dolphin snapper grouper cobia something for dinner my mom specifically asked for dinner she's like honey go catch us some fresh fish so we're doing today and you are riding shotgun [Music] no that's right Atlantic Ocean big fish good time here we go [Music] it's late February early March and sometime in the next month our live bait will start showing up I'm checking right now to see if there's any goggle eyes little blue runners sardines greenies whatever I'm marking some on the bottom I just want to see if I can get them to eat water is just gorgeous blue it looks awesome I haven't made up my mind what I want to fish for yet I mean I really want to fish for dolphin but there's so much other stuff to do now let's see what we got oh it's a little crunch you know what that's okay that's a great mutton bait Kobe's will eat them I call that a mooned runt I don't know what the actual name is but I refer to it as a moon drive so we've got some silver mullet and one moon drop let's see if we could get anything else blue rock blue runner nice bait kingfish dolphin sailfish wahoo everything love a little blue rudder [Music] first beat going in the water I want a little blue runner oh no you know what I want I want that Joker right there big old cigar me know that has something good written all over it hmm man I don't know what I'm gonna catch on that bait but I'm gonna catch something let him just go on back there big time key as soon as you start fishing check your drag make sure your drag is set properly that is such a key so many people come out they're excited to go put a bait or hook a big fish bow because they're drag was either stop or too tight or not set properly check your drags talk about the most perfect weather it's like like a 1012 mile an hour southeast breeze it's nice and cool you can hear the wind singing through the line time man bait all over the surface it's what you live for oh and did I mention turkey season starts Saturday what all right here's a question you guys if you were on the boat fishing right now what fish would you want to catch like what would be like the fish you wanted to catch most right now out here so like options are black fin tuna dolphin kingfish as in a king mackerel sailfish snapper grouper cobia maybe a lionfish and if you have any other ideas go ahead and mention them here we go here we go here we go there you just got it on the groan head oh yeah maybe heck yeah not real big have no idea what it is to you the truth take home ice them properly that is like the most important thing I can tell you to do perfect I just love coming out here catching bait and going now this bait will work for that fish coming to a spot that I know should should have fish and then catching it when it when you have a plan and it happens the way you want it to just makes you feel good inside [Music] I got a clue [Music] it ain't that mullet but I don't know what it is oh the king fish it's a king macaroon [Music] [Music] oh that was terrible [Applause] [Music] yes I was after a king fish and just for it and I hooked him in the gill and he's tangled with everything else but you know what as his life ladies and gentlemen sometimes it don't happen the way you wanted to sometimes it never happens at all but when you stay after it and you keep your hopes high keep that that positive energy flowing back next thing you know you got a king fish in the box way to go hot diggity [Music] are you kidding me I was gonna cook that no come here now I'm gonna kiss him I'm gonna kiss him on his forehead that's all I got left of my kingfish not even enough to make a plate of sushi no what a great way to end the day you guys were so blessed to be able to come and do this let's uh let's clean this boat up head for the hill she had 90% of it but you might as well give her the last piece as well she comes by she's like hey thanks a lot man I appreciate that you're the best there she is look at that beauty pretty fish right there now let's clean up we are gonna cook it up kind of a new way I've been thinking of a new recipe all day and I'm gonna try something totally new [Music] now on our way in yesterday evening we ran into one heck of a storm it was blowing sideways lightning rain it was ugly but we made it and now here we are what's that beautiful fillet I'm gonna cut the pin bones out just like that I'm gonna gently cut the pin bones out but I don't want to cut through the skin see what I'm doing there just now we have our fish scales and skin still on take a little bit of this its robust flavored olive oil just lather them up wow they're not that meat all up with the with the olive oil we're gonna do it on both sides I want the skin to have some oil on it as well cuz I don't want it to stick I want everything to be nice and non-stick here you go smells so good drop the thumbs up if you love the way olive oil smells like to me the smell of olive oil is simply awesome everglades heat see that stuff right there i don't cook with it a lot but when I do everyone loves it there's mouth of the south can't help himself what happens I start cooking everyone starts showing up how I figured that I don't need you instructed me on how to cook okay you know what you're doing try to figure it out as I go that's ginger get some nice herbs on there and basil Austin I want to know what do you think does it look good thus far they call this a gravity grill you just drive the stake in the ground wherever you want it I use the bottom tray for the charcoal then you slide the the grill back down works really good Oh [Music] now I actually solved this little copper great online it was like on TV on some ashley known TV ad and i bought it and thus far i'm really happy with it alright so let's try to flip this thing I could not have dreamed it up looking any better than that [Music] yeah all right you guys and all honesty I've never done this before especially with a mutton snapper so I don't know how it's gonna turn out I hope it's done on there on the half-shell y'all now just take your your thing slide around it's off the heat and you're good to go how pretty that is just look at that that's gorgeous lord thank you so much for this day and thanks you for this food thank you for an awesome opportunity to enjoy it with my family my friends please nurse it to our body forgive us of our sin my break all right so this is honestly the first time I've ever cooked snapper like this I have no idea how it's going to taste but it does look extremely moist [Music] really what do you think if it's so good look how nice and flaky that is the the meat just it is so moist yeah what do you think it seriously I like it why do you think I drove huh this is why we wanted the pawn so we could sit out here and just fellowship and eat have a good time it's all coming together y'all what a
