welcome to fire patriot today I want to do a disassembly an assembly video of the Kimber solo carry chamber for the 19 millimeter Luger this is not a difficult gun to take down it is very similar to a 1911 it is somewhat hard to manipulate simply because you're dealing with a very small gun go ahead and safety check the gun as you can see there's nothing in the chamber or excuse me the magazine and there's nothing in the chamber so what you have on this side is you have a takedown lever and what you have to do is you have to line this groove up right here there's a little groove you line it right back up with the back of the takedown lever and then on the side here you push this button in which will allow you to basically remove the takedown lever then what you do it is a striker-fired pistol and you do pull the trigger to release the striker and the top will slide off so let's go ahead again demonstrate that again you pull it back there yard you can see there we're going to push this pin in takedown lever comes right out okay let the slide release we're going to pull the trigger push it right off okay you can see the internals of the Kimber solo or I'll still aluminum inside there's no plastic inside you have a very good view there of the trigger it's very easy to clean gun you can get to everything very well like that has recoil spring you simply just remove it like you do on any other semi-automatic pistol the barrel very unique barrel you turn it to the side here a little bit lift out and comes out as you can see the barrel is a little different got a billion course speeding ramp to it got your little groove down here for your your cam basically if you can see right here there's grooves in here that have been wheeled into the slide this is a stainless steel slide and basically that locks the barrel in place and there's a corresponding groove on the barrel as well and that's a new invention of Kimber basically they said that's something that allows the gun to be more reliable and more you know to perform better particularly with 124 grain and above ammunition you can see you've got a safety here at the striker system here now they do say no you know obviously getting old in regards to the striker system but as you can see it's very simple to take take down just as easy to reassemble so we'll go ahead and do that so we're going to do is we're going to head and put the barrel in okay and as far as the brink hole spring they will goes right in here we're go ahead and slide it in there just push it in and come through it goes right to that point right there you go make sure that's lined up straight very easy to do no problem now Kimber does suggest that the recoil spring on this firearm if you replace every 1,000 rounds so it's important to keep track of your rounds on thats okay we've got the barrel lined up very simply take it slide it back on the rails there we go again very similar to a 1911 we're going to go ahead and make sure everything's in there it looks good pop that in pop we're gonna pop the takedown spring in there now there's a spring you can't see it but there's a spring right there that you have to catch with that takedown lever so what we're going to do is we're going to pull that back where the groove lines up with the back of the takedown lever there we have it we're going to pop that up okay and you'll know that you've got it because you'll push if you push on the takedown lever there's pressure on it you push up on it the spring pushes it back down okay then we'll just release the slide and now the weapon has been assembled properly very easy not difficult at all again you know this picture gun does lock back last round so but it's very easy to assemble Brees disassembly one that I don't like about it very quickly is that when you're putting the takedown lever back in to assemble it it has to be basically done at an angle and you have to push up on that to catch that spring but right here it's very difficult to see but it does wear off the pro Kimber coating doing that and that's a problem I have this is a very expensive gun and that should have been designed some way where you're not scratching you're good every time you reassemble it so but other than that it's very simple process you can see from the internals of this guns a very well-built gun so that's the basically assembly and disassembly the Kimber Pro thanks for watching this is firearm painter until next time god bless america
