[Music] like Jesus [Music] kiss hi boys and girls one of the most fun games kids play is called hide-and-seek I used to play this game when I was a kid and my children loved to play it too now my grandsons Michael and Jason play it with me and we have so much fun in our Bible story today you will learn about two men who had to hide they are spies trying to get information so their army can destroy the city of the enemy and they have disguised themselves and snuck into the city to scout it out suddenly there's a knock at the door and somebody has turned them in somebody has just told the enemy that they are in town the soldiers with their weapons are right there outside the door what should they do hide and hide quickly this is no game of hide-and-seek this is the real thing and if they get caught they will surely be killed well by now you're probably wondering what's gonna happen to the two spies can they find a place to hide where they won't get caught hmm I don't know max what do you think in our Bible story you'll find out where they hid and if they got caught you're not gonna want to miss this exciting story but first we're gonna have to get ready max well are you awake are you ready for nature time let's get ready for a nature time hi boys and girls welcome to nature time take a look at what's going on behind range rod right now this is a geyser not just any geyser this is Old Faithful old faithful geyser shoots off faithfully every 90 minutes or give or take a few a hundred and eighty feet I take a look behind me here isn't this beautiful ranger Hut's gonna kind of get out of the way here let's just look at this beautiful geyser you know today Ranger rod is in beautiful Yellowstone National Park I wish you were here with me right behind me looks like a lot of boys and girls out here their moms and dad brought him out here to enjoy this beautiful beautiful geyser isn't they had amazing geysers are one of the most famous geothermal features in Yellowstone geothermal feature in Jerrod what's that well that's where hot water from underneath the ground is somehow bubbling up and boiling and we can see it on the surface there's several different kinds there's hot springs there's fumarole Zoar steam vents there's geysers geysers are my favorite they're everybody's favorite in fact there's some really famous ones here in the park this guys are here this is hot water it's made steaming hot deep beneath the surface of the earth and as it gets hot it rushes up and comes to the little constriction at the top isn't it just beautiful isn't this exciting there's thousands of people here right now that are watching and boys and girls just like you who are fortunate enough to actually be here in person maybe someday you'll get the chance to actually watch this beautiful Faithful geyser go off here in Yellowstone National Park eight thousand gallons of water come on during this eruption you might ask why I'm shoots so high like that 180 feet it's sort of like putting your thumb over top of a garden hose maybe when you're trying to spray your brother your sister you're having some fun I like to tell you another story of faithfulness this is a story about a nine-year-old girl Alicia our daughter who every single day until her marriage to JD February 10 2008 that's ten years five months and 16 days from the time she was nine years old three thousand eight hundred and sixteen times she wrote her mom and dad a letter a little love letter every night before she went to bed without a single miss not one miss just like Old Faithful let you see here behind me it's never missed over a hundred years he's been monitored this beautiful geyser every 90 minutes without a miss Alicia did that for over ten years without a mess that little letter [Music] don't you love these examples that we get from nature like beautiful Old Faithful the example we have from a young girl and the examples that we get from the Bible unfaithfulness that's holds faithful right on time doesn't last very long but it sure is incredible wow I love it you know sometimes Old Faithful lasts a little longer than other times you can kind of tell by what kind of splashing and and little events of steam that come up before the geyser erupts the more of that the more sort of teasing that Old Faithful does before it actually erupts so the shorter the eruptions going to be this one was kind of a short one sometimes they last a little bit longer you never really know just quite how long they're gonna last but that's part of the fun of being here at Yellowstone National Park there's lots and lots of geysers all through this area but again like Ranger rod said this is the most famous that's why these benches were so full of boys and girls and moms and dads they're all here on this beautiful sunny day to watch this beautiful beautiful geyser just like you've been able to do in the comfort of your home you know boys and girls some people have had to travel great distances to come here to Yellowstone I hope that you'll get an opportunity maybe someday to visit a beautiful natural feature not too far from your home boys and girls this the faithfulness of of this geyser reminds me of some Bible stories you know Daniel was faithful the Bible tells us that that he was so faithful he prayed to God three times a day it got him into some trouble he ended up spending the night in the lion's den for that do you remember the story there was some other faithful boys there were friends of Daniels Shadrach Meshach and Abednego you know they had to get into a fiery furnace a lot hotter than the Old Faithful here in fact they would have probably been happy for a little water in there but you know what Jesus protected them because they were faithful you know the Bible tells us in Revelation 2:10 that if we are faithful unto death that Jesus will give us a crown of life you know boys and girls the examples that we see in nature they're all around us we need to apply them to our lives we need to read God's Word and apply his word to our lives as well and then we can be faithful we can be faithful our parents we can be faithful in school be honest and true always be faithful like this old beautiful Kaiser that we just enjoyed so much until next time boys and girls this is Ranger rod Sain let's all enjoy God's great do best in the summer time go swimming go swimming that would be a cool thing to do and we have Jacob over here now Jacob how old are you Wow twelve years old and I'm glad you're with us - and we've got Camila over here Camille when you're in this one you're out of school in the summertime what's your favorite activity swam swimming Wow hey why don't you all come up here because we're gonna do an interesting experiment that has to do with water and you mentioned some swimming and that should be good okay if you could stand right here at the end come on up here Jacob you can stand right in the middle and that'll be fun right over here in the middle this is interesting now how many of you like to swim oh I do too you know yeah and you like to swim I know you just told me you like to swim don't you you know have you ever taken a deep breath and then you went under the water have you ever done that okay and then have you ever dove down really deep maybe in a swimming pool you ever done that yeah well today we're gonna be looking at that because there's a lot of science and breathing heavy how many have ever breathed underwater have you ever breathed on the water have you all have have you it's interesting you don't fish do that all the time don't think about we're not fish now today I've got some balloons and if you could pick up a balloon right there and let's see what we can do when it can you uh can you blow your bloon up and here let me blow your balloon up and go ahead and blow it up for us here we go and it takes a lot of crank it out blow up here we go okay then the hardest job about blowing up balloons is doing one time tying a bun and I can tie mine over here if you want you hang on to mine Jacob I'll help you tie your okay just like this there we go we're gonna tie this balloon up here I'm getting my fingers all tied up this one there you go now I'm gonna come back over here because what we have right here is we've got a little vacuum chamber and you know what happens if you and I are in a swimming pool and we take a deep breath and we go down to the bottom of the pool we can't breathe again until we come back up you know if we happen to be a scuba diver you know scuba divers they carry their own air don't they and tanks and if they take a deep breath in the bottom of the swimming pool or maybe they're in the ocean someplace you know what they have to do when they come up they have to breathe that's right they can't hold their breath if they got a breath of air way at the bottom they have to let the air out as they come up otherwise something interesting would happen in very dangerous so we're gonna kind of do this experiment can you put your balloon right in there okay to put yours right in there for us whoa oh that one's too big okay here let's see let's see let's just try yours okay all right so we got one that's just the right size and I'm gonna put this right on top of my vacuum chamber just like this and that that represents a diver right a diver that took a big breath of air underneath the water and as they come up if they don't breathe out what do you suppose what happened to them dang they would drown something might happen I'm going to turn this on and this is we're gonna look at this what's going to happen to our little balloon what's happening to her balloon skin vegan is getting bigger because there's less pressure on the balloon and if that was the dry if that was the divers lungs the lungs would do what the lungs would have a problem wouldn't they and air would get into their blood system and that would be a bad situation wouldn't it but you know what the fish happened do they have to worry about breathing out and in and not holding their breath at the wrong time no no they don't have to worry about that because God created them just that way you know I think that maybe someday we're gonna be able to breathe underwater how many of you would like to breathe underwater I would too that would be kind of interesting wouldn't it because there's lots of interesting things that we can see underwater so divers have to be very very careful when they're underwater if they take a deep breath underwater as they come up what should they keep doing breathing in and out they shouldn't hold their breath if they held their breath what would happen they pop that air would go right into their blood system and that would be a bad news it's called an air embolism and they could die you're that interesting that's why you have to get very special training to be a scuba diver and that's really fine now you know I want to thank my my helpers today you know you did a great job Jordan thanks for being with us and Jacob thanks for being with us today and Camille I appreciate you being with you with us as well now what we're gonna do is we're going to ask you not to do that experiment at home okay don't get it don't take a deep breath and hold it while you come up out of water you got to have your breath at the top and you can go down and then you come come back up again and you'll be just fine but remember boys and girls whenever we learn more about science we're learning more we know what he has done for you everyone knows about how he has delivered you from Egypt how he parted the Red Sea and you walked on dry land and what he did for you to the two kings of the Emirates we know and our people here in this land are terrified of you that well they should be and we know I know that your God is going to deliver us into your hands so I beg of you I beg of you please please save me in my father's house you have saved us we will save you and your father's house we'll make this oath we will save you and your friend the whole brothers and sisters but if you leave that house when we attack they'll all be killed stay in the house it must come to the house all right to be in this house if they go out of the door their blood will be upon their own heads all right and if you tell anybody about this arrangement that doesn't rain months off the agreements off you tell no one is that clear it's clear it's clear it's clear thank you thank you very much now come suddenly the whole camp was in an uproar it was like the world was coming to an and everybody knew it says do you trust God even in the bad times let this story of God's power and victory help you to always put your faith and trust in him and Bradley booth is a wonderful friend of miss Brenda's in fact we went to the same church for a while and he can sure write stories you're gonna want this book I am so excited boys and girls because I want you to meet a very special young man his name is Nathaniel and Nathaniel thank you so much for being here with us today and let me ask you this you've watched kids time for a while now right yes and I saw you where did I see you this where we were able to meet in person not so in Knoxville that's right at my home church right and I asked you to be here today because you shared something with Miss Brenda that really touched my heart and you told me how what what caused you to make a decision to give your heart to Jesus would you mind sharing that with the boys and girls what made you decide to give your heart to Jesus and be baptized well I saw that how the kids acted there they're good and that the kids acted on kids time because you watch kids time and you and you were watching kids time and you saw how the kids that come in and they were on sharing time just like you're on Cherrington now and then what they acted like they were good kids and I want to be like that and also that I decided that time might come when I want to have a chance to so I wanted to do it then mm-hmm so you wanted to make your decision right then so because the kids time you made your decision for Jesus and that that just touched my heart when when Nathaniel shared that with me I just was like oh you know there's so many young young men especially who feel like they're too cool it's not cool to love Jesus and it is cool to love Jesus that's right and there is no greater joy than serving Jesus you've done a lot to share Jesus you have a neighbor you want to tell me about your neighbor well one time me and my dad just had decided to cut wood for our neighbors because they're hurt mm-hm and they can't get the woods themselves so we decided to cut the wood and take it over to their place and stock up for him mm-hm and then it came up dad had to go to the hospital so cuz your own dad is sick right yeah he's not doing very well so so you had the responsibility fell on you yeah and did you still do that yes and you I understand you chop the wood stack the wood and then took it over in your willpower what did your neighbors say when you know cuz your neighbor was disabled he's shocked he was shocked yeah I'm sure to think that a young man would take time usually people think you're off doing your own thing playing video games doing things that you know kids in the world are doing but you were firsthand sharing Jesus when we have an act of kindness like that that is a wonderful way to share Jesus isn't it mm-hmm you also did something that was a great witnessing experience that I thought would be good to share with the boys and girls you helped your mom make some cupcakes yes tell me about that well we made some cupcakes and put them in little Christmas baskets mhm and we put steps to Christ in there and get out to our neighbors as a witnessing tool what does that make you feel like when you're out there knocking on that door and you've got that gift for them well it makes me feel like prizes appreciating what I'm doing for him mm-hmm he does to really makes Jesus happy doesn't it and when we share him never be ashamed to witness for Jesus boys and girls I would encourage you never to be ashamed of witnessing for Jesus and if you are say I'm shy I can't do that then you pray and that's Jesus to help you and he will isn't that right yes and you also have a witness to a friend you invited them to watch doug batchelor and adventures for kids they aired on 3abn and tell me what about the results of that well I got a man's kids to him and he decided he wanted a Bible and you know why go to the lessons so you could sign your friend a friend up for the Bible lessons isn't that awesome boys and girls you can ensign up your own friends that's a wonderful way to share Jesus invite your friends to join kids club and just go to kids time for Jesus dough are G kids time for Jesus Oh are G and you can spell it with the number for or fo are either way it doesn't matter and you click on kids club and you can make a choice to either take the Bible lessons online or in the mail now when I send those Bible lessons to you in the mail miss Brittany likes to put a little surprise in there every time you get a package for Miss Brenda with the letters in there and the lessons I put a little surprise in there and what is one of the surprises that you like a lot what did I give you the pen and the pen and running pens and a little flashlight yes you get lots of little things since that's a can see that nice pin up there it says kids time and when you sign up for kids club you're gonna get one of those pins right yeah yeah and that way and that's another way to share Jesus you wear that pin and you go all about and your friends will say what is that what's good time guess what it's an awesome way to share Jesus you can tell them all about kids time and how they can get their own pin isn't that awesome yeah well let me read a couple letters here maybe you can help me here if we got any pictures and this one is from Jamaica it's from Brownstown Saint Anne Jamaica it says dear Miss Brenda I hope you are doing great my name is Raja me and I hope I said that right and it said and I live in Jamaica I love kids time and I want to join kids clubs so that I can learn more about Jesus I like to help people and obey the commandments and I think it's a good thing to do because God tells us to do it we're supposed to obey God's laws yours truly were Johnny and rajani that's right we are supposed to do what God wants us to do let's see we have a letter here and this one is from New Mexico and who is writing us from Mexico oh we have a picture would you mind holding this up for me
