- Awww, yay. I don't wanna be arrested! - So that's actually
exactly what people say. (light upbeat music) - Hi. - Hi.
- Hi. - Hi. I'm Sophia. - Hi, I'm Britney. - Nice to meet you. - Nice to meet you. - I like your necklace. - Thank you. So you know why we're here? - Well, I was here to meet you. - Yeah. - You wanna guess some stuff? - Hmmm. - Maybe it has to do with my outfit? - Hmmm. - Does it? - Are you a firefighter? - No, I'm not a firefighter.
Those are cool though. I carry handcuffs with me. - Oh, you're a police? - Cop! - Not a cop or police. - Can you just tell us? - I'm a bounty hunter. - Bully bunny? - A bowling bunny? No,
I am a bounty hunter. - Oh. I know what bounty hunting is. - Yeah?
- Yeah. - What bounty hunter do you know? - The Star Wars Boba Fett. - Yeeeeeeeeeeees! So that's what I do. - They catch people that
have committed crimes, right? - Ummm, that have been charged
with committing a crime. When somebody doesn't show up to court, and they've been arrested, and they have to appear
in front of a judge, I go out and I find them. Like, if your mom tells you
that you have to be in time out, and then you end up leaving your room, and your mom can't find you, you mom would call me,
and I'll come get you. - I never be time out. - [Britney] You never get in time out? - No. - I have.
- [Britney] That's good. You've been in time out? - Yeah. My little sisters help me (laughing). - They help escape you? - Yup! - I'd have to come find you, right? - Yup! - It's kinda like a almost weirdest job. - It's a very weird job. It's crazy we have to have
people to do it, right? - When you're a bounty hunter, how do you find the criminals that are not showing up to court? - Social media. You know how you're always,
like, go on Instagram, and Facebook and stuff? - I don't have Instagram
and Facebook (chuckling). - Oh. You're too young for those? - No, my parents won't let me get it. - Good. That's good. That' good. (offscreen laughing) There's bounty hunters out there that could see all your stuff, right? When people tag themselves, or say where they're at online, like, "I'm eating this burger at McDonald's," and then they tag exactly where it's at, then I just go there. - Have you ever found
someone in a McDonald's? - No a McDonald's; in a Wendy's. I mean, like, if you take
a picture at a Wendy's or McDonald's, I'm gonna know. - Also, if they take a picture of a burger and nothing but their hands, you can always tell by the patty. - That's true too! (hysterical offscreen laughing) That's true. - Before bounty hunter,
do you disguise yourself? Like an animal, or a pet, or, like, grass? - Yeah, I guess. If I wanted to hide in a meadow, I would probably cover myself with grass. - Have you ever hacked a
computer to find someone? - Hacking is a strong term. Ummm, that I do; I just peek, like, I'm just looking. - Like, it's illegal to most people right, is it illegal for you? - I would say that, yeah, hacking is not always legal, and in most cases it's not. Ummm... M-hmm. Implicated myself on that one. - How many people have you caught? - I've lost count of how many people. But, I caught two in a day once. That's the most I've ever caught in a day. - Like, do you have anything on you to make sure you're protected? - Well, I wear a bulletproof vest, and I also carry a gun. I have a badge that lets people know I'm a recovery agent. - You've got a badge!? - I got a badge! - Why there's a key? - That is the key to my handcuffs. I'm gonna put it on me.
(handcuffs clicking) - How do you do that? - Lot of practice. Hit is as hard as you can on my wrist. - Really?
- Yeah, do it! (handcuffs clicking) Look at that.
- Whoa! - I don't wanna be arrested. - I'm gonna lock it. - You're gonna lock it? (handcuffs clicking)
- There we go. - Okay. So we'll do the
rest of the interview like this. (offscreen laughing) - Okay.
- Okay? You like that? - Have you ever pulled out a gun, and have to shoot the gun (laughing) at someone? - I have never had to shoot my gun. I usually just like to use a taser, to be honest. I don't like anything like that, but it just depends on what
kind of weapon they may have. - What kind of training
did you have to go though to be a bounty hunter? - Well, in order to testify in court about tasing somebody, I had to be tased. - Are you very very strong? - Ummm, I would say I'm
very very strong, yeah. - If I win, I get to keep the badge. - Okay, you know I'm not
gonna let you win now, right? (offscreen laughing) - No. - Okay, alright. You
better be super-strong! - Go! - Go for it! Keep going. Have you started trying? (laughing)
(offscreen cheering) - Has anyone gotten scared
of you 'cause of your job? - Oh I definitely have not gotten a second date because of it. But most of my friends
think it's pretty cool. - Are there many female bounty hunters? - Oh, I wished there more. I do know that I've met really good bounty hunters that are females, and they are more prone
to put people in handcuffs by talking to them. I mean, these are dangerous criminals, so if you can talk a dangerous criminal into giving themselves up, that's the way to go, so. - So even though there aren't as many female bounty hunters, you feel like the female bounty hunters are better than the male bounty hunters. - Yes, I am extremely
biased in saying (laughing). No, I mean, they do a really good job, and I wish that there were more of them, because I think women can do this job. - And, when they get
arrested, are they sad? - Yeah. I genuinely believe that a lot of the people are sad. I do also think that some
people do start to cry, or start to tell me, like, stories. - (mumbling) When they're
not telling the truth. - Yeah, can you tell when people aren't telling the truth to you? - Yes. - Oh yeah, when they have smiles. - You might be a really
good bounty hunter then. - Have you ever had to capture an animal? - I have captured animals before. But by accident. Well, not by accident. I was told to go cover
the back part of a house, and just make sure nobody ran out of it, 'cause they were going after the guy that they knew was inside. All of a sudden there
was a bunch of commotion, and people were yelling, and I didn't know what
was going on inside, but two little wiener dogs
ran outside the house. So instead of doing what
I should have been doing, which was to go inside the house, I chased after the wiener dogs (laughing), to make sure that they
didn't get hit in the road, 'cause I'm a dog lover. And I got in so much trouble. But, you know what, I like to believe I
saved those wiener dogs. And we did apprehend our fugitive, so it was like, it was a win-win, right? Do you think you learned anything? - I think I learnt a lot
about what a bounty hunter is. - And are you gonna stay out of trouble? - What? - Are you gonna stay out of trouble? - Yes, I'm going to stay out of trouble. - I don't want to ever find you. (laughing)
(offscreen chuckling) I don't ever want you
to come across my desk. You promise? - Yes. - 'Cause I'm gonna be
so upset if I'm like, "I talked to her and
told her not to do this."
