muhammad's at ufc 279 fight week uh seems like you're enjoying it already you got a uh you got a car with no top on it you're driving around you got your teams your teammates in the car with you you enjoying fight week already yeah of course like the first time we come so many people and all that a lot of guys five guys coming today as well you know like all the almost like all gym is coming here and yeah we're gonna we have fun here so just go and fight cage fight got some fun in the cage as well five years ago you weren't even fighting professionally and now you're headlining the card on the las vegas strip t-mobile reigning against nate diaz is that crazy to you does it feel normal to you i was like always thinking about gonna be some acting gonna happen something big things with me you know like always be believe that but like never think about how many years it will be but yeah i was ready for that from the beginning what do you think beating nate diaz is going to do for your career to be honest with you i don't care about get some money and go home and do some funny things and help somebody i don't know be happy well because you're at a spot where you already beat the number one guy so you're right there for a title shot beating ideas though i know you don't care but what do you think is it's going to do like what is going to happen after this fight after you beat a superstar like nathan's make the money some money and smash his head you know have some fun and then you she wants to kill that guy you know like how to do it i say always like i'm like killer you know they pay for me and take his hair like a hitman almost yeah i'm is that is that sort of how it feels coming into this fight like it seems pretty obvious and maybe some people will say different different scenarios or whatever the most obvious scenario seems like it's the last fight on his contract the ufc wants you to beat him you take all of his fans they send him out on a loss is that what it feels like to you ah people talk about that but i'm mad for me it's like it doesn't matter just give the fights and fight you know like after my last fight they said maybe gonna get the title shot but they give me this fight i took the fight you know i never said no jack yeah why not i'm here you know and you're right i mean in a way i've heard you say that your big motivation is belts you want to win not one belt not two bells but three belts then you also say like i don't care i just want to fight anybody smash people and make money like and they make me happy but i don't say smash somebody get them millions brother dude yeah everyone's allowed the money you know like we need the money because you need that for family for somebody for doing things you know like for good life you won't want to live then good luck nobody want to be downstairs you're going to be upset so that's why i'm going forward and why else was to sit and wait somebody like you know to somebody give me something i'm just going to go and take everything is this flight very different in terms of how much money you're making compared to the rest of your career yeah i never make that much money in all my career or my life so you screw on the cusp of making making real money for the first time in your life how does that feel that's kind of amazing what are your plans for happy birthday like motivated you know like yeah it feels good what are your plans for it i don't have some plans for that but now my plan and go take his head no we'll see after what when i get that money what's respect the audience you know when he fought conor mcgregor in 2016 that was like a very polarizing fight it felt like everybody was on one side of that fight which side were you on were you on connor's side are you on nate's side for that fight i was 50 50. yeah because i liked them both that time jack both guy was fun you know i watched a press conference everything was nice yeah it was cool fight and uh i watched our second fight as well that was nice as well i want to see i want to see one more fight with these guys as well after my fight maybe this and i'm gonna fight okay well if they fought again whose team would you be on i don't know i would just sit and watch and eat some chips you know when this fight got booked you told your manager majdy i'm i'm going to handle nadia's funeral with the usc but you just said you you like the guy you respect him you've admired him you've looked up to him like why was that the thought that went through your mind i'm going to hang out it's it's like one side i respect the guys all my opponents are respected guys but once i when i go to the kill somebody no need to respect somebody you know check shake the hands and think you know i'm gonna go and not to hug the guy i'm gonna take his head you know he's gonna punch me if you wanna if he can he gonna kill me you know like i wanna do the same thing and then in the cage when it comes time to walk i respect nobody i'm gonna take my food you know see i'm nobody gonna take it for me what do you expect uh the press conference to be like what do you expect a weigh-in to be like when you when you square off with it actually i don't know when he speaks i'm honest with you i don't understand so much i don't think she guys talk in good english he smokes too much and that's why his english little bit different and my english is not perfect as well we'll see what's happening i'm gonna have some fun and sit there and if you want to fight with that with his team i all like 20 guys with me with fighting teams and all the teams you know and it happened some funny things i hope though i would love if they happen something crazy things there i was going to ask you that and i'm sure the dana white and the ufc probably don't like that answer but you if you were in a situation and the guy's kind of stepping up to you like a lot of people say we fight on saturday for the money we don't fight before that if they want to fight before that the money brother get a fight with them yeah i love the fight zac first thing it's what i love it's my work to fight fight i'm being foreign born for war you know like i'm inside in the warrior like don't don't care about when you come fights come you don't care about money on things you know what what they're behind you like just fight and we'll see what's happening yeah yeah is it his team is he one thing is uh his team is old brother my team is fresh i feel like the energy is going to be so different too because gilbert burns like when you guys fought he showed that he's got heart tons of heart and he did not quit he stayed in that fight but he even admitted afterwards that he was nervous and i think that you could almost sense that during fight week you know when you guys saw each other when you were cutting weight and then even when he was walking out like he said he was nervous like nate is not nate is going to be going like this to you you know nate is going to show you i'm not afraid of you like are you looking forward to that part i hope so i hope you know i don't need the guys who are scared no i want to fight with the guys like me you know who comes to the wall kill somebody i hope you want to kill me you know because it will be easy to punch you and you know that guys come with the kids and they what was that gilbert come with his wife kids and i don't like why you take it with your kids and wife don't who you know fight hotel on uh i don't know press confirming and that you know like it's you take on the war you don't take your family in the world you know i'm years i never see these comes with the girls you know to the fight i like like you don't feel sorry for that you know just fight with the warrior you know and i said you better gonna cry after the fight he did that i don't need that i don't need a little real real warriors you lose the fight that you lose the fight go walk and come back no don't cry what will happen if in the first 30 seconds of this fight nate diaz slaps you across the face what will your reaction be i'll slap back what are you gonna do what if you get slapped it's it's quite it can happen everything yeah maybe i could do like record with the slaps you know take him down and just hold the slap slap slap 100 slap one one minute record down i feel i felt like going into the gilbert fight i felt like you and your team really wanted to knock him out like you didn't want to just beat him you wanted to get that knockout is that true and then do you have a feeling of how you want to win this fight going into this one and that's why yeah i don't know what's going on like i'm i don't know we didn't have some plan for gilbert like we i didn't know what had some plans but was the coach has some plan he showed that to the fight you know he doing that do these the different techniques and he shows i just follow them and they come to the fight you fight automatically what you did there on your training camp and sometimes it not happened because the last fight it wasn't my gay plan you know like was i didn't train for i just go and knock them out you guys you know i trained like a lot of grappling hours so i ground the pawns and a lot of good gold boxing you know like but when i dropped him like i switched to somebody else you know i just want to take his head and you know i was thinking about now i'm gonna knock him out not gonna knock him out like that didn't happen yeah now i'm gonna be like how to be smart refresh a cold in the head you know go and take his head well that's why i asked you about getting slapped though because what if you have a game plan for this fight but then you get then you get slapped but then he says something to you or like do you think that you've learned from the gilbert fight that you will stay on a game plan or are you just that fighter that if something happens in there maybe the game plan gets thrown out well many times they fight outside you know all my life i they fight outside by some we talk about things about you know each other and yeah i'll never lose my fight never lose my street fights you know yeah i get beat like a lot of guys jumping on me like never give back and always win my fight you know and it's gonna be the same thing you know if i would be a only me against this team which they will be go back you know i never get to step back if you go in there and you dominate nate diaz and however that looks like if you just you dominate him take him down you submit him you knock him out unkind will you will you feel it all bad about it because you've said you like the guy and because you know that this is the last fight on his ufc and it's here that sort of that story of like the ufc wants him to lose or any part of you feel bad if you dominate this guy in this fight no so if you see pace but i don't feel bad it feel sloppy somebody you the guy's up and you get paid but like you i i'm i don't know i get happy you know like i think the other guys as well gets happy when they get bonus when they get money you know and it's our work yeah after the fight i shake his hand and respect the guy before the fight and till i smash his face you know and wario coming for his take his head and take his money everything yeah yeah what do you what do you think the chances are that there is something that happens this week maybe not a full-blown fight or something but like what you said is it that maybe you guys will get physical do you think there's a high chance of that i don't know we'll see is he's playing like cancer i don't know his gags are already actors is like if we're honest with you like real gangsters don't playing with their punches you know they kill each other and this is fight and you're going to play the gangster like i said i eat the blankets for breakfast you know like that kind of stuff if it's happened fight before the fight we'll fight if it don't happen we'll fight in the cage you know yeah just a few more for you two weeks ago i haven't been able to ask you about this kamara usman leon edwards what did you think of that fight i was crazy fight yeah good fight i learned a lot of things about f5 you know uh it was funny to watch and the guys was too much high up and you know i'm gonna fight with canelo and that things you know and he gets shot he didn't be in focused and he said i always focus that that's a lot of things you know like and want to make money and if you go from new way to other way and you jump back the guys is ready already the they're driving there and you're going back you know we come and liam comes he shot his head and dropped a guy i don't think so i never be the same guy again you don't yeah and that's because just of what happened to his chin or just like what happens here oh he's mine in the mind hey before like you seen a lot of champions you know like everyone's thinking like oh i'm never nobody can beat me you know like because he defends so many times now i am like unbeatable like some that kind of things and dumb somebody knock you out and like you know you're human as well and yeah i don't know what should happen if we go to boxing and camelot what he should do with him on the striking and all the guys wrestler and uh yeah i happy for liam he was like long time in the uc it was like he has a lot of wins here and straight i don't know how many like nine days he has about that yeah he's coming for him as soon as what everybody's always immediately saying like oh it has to be the third fight right away do you do you agree with that like you don't understand how the sport works do you feel like like that's inevitable like they have to do that third fight right away yeah if we don't want to do it for me no problem i'm going to take some other fight and we'll see what's happening um maybe israel destania or what's the other guy named alexander pereira and his name who wins there maybe fight with them i don't know where i don't know wait for that what happened after the fight he said like my after my last fight maybe we'll fight for the title but it didn't happen well yeah yeah yeah i think a lot of us were excited to see you fight kumar usman after seeing what happened and now you're saying that you don't think he'll be the same do you kind of think in your heart that you and kamaru's middle never fight or do you think that fight will still happen if it will happen it will be a big fight because everyone wanna see that fight because you he's like almost the same kind of like fighter like me you know and uh good wrestling and uh good boxing uh why is he grabbing is not he's terrible the united was talking don't take his back you know if i take his back i squeeze all his head you know and yeah everyone want to see that fight you know last thing for you um how has the fame been how has how is everybody kind of knowing who you are now and especially if you beat nay diaz and what that will do how are you dealing with the fame what's what's it been like for you uh should be crazy okay people are going crazy you know it's fun just have fun you know like sometimes it's hard when just to wake up and go and take the coffee like normal people and i'll do it like and there's somebody screaming yeah i smash everybody kill everybody hey brother it's seven o'clock in the morning and i get ready for my training you know yeah it's just how fun i just accept that you know yeah the people love me i love them back you know like when you look at conor mcgregor though like when he can't even go out without security like or do you look at that and be like that's going to be my life like dude no that securities but i'm i kind handle everything you know i don't need the securities i like my life would be only one life you know how many years are gonna be in the light i won't be like normal human like go to if i get the kids get the same school like i've been you know like in normal human don't need that like a lot of ferraris and these big houses you know i just want to be happy we like have
