around 18:43 he says that it might be not possible for him to come back to azerbaijan, someone knows whats up with that? did something happen again?
This was one of his better videos. No acting, no clickbait title like in Bolivia, just straight up RPG-like travelling through a foreign country. His videos are one of the reasons why I've visited Georgia this autumn. Truly inspiring and quality content.
By the way, will he ever reveal what happened in Chechyna exactly? Was he arrested? Why did he make that apology video on instagram?
Does anyone know why there is this ridiculous hotel in nowhere?
That was one of his best videos in a long time. He truly has a gift of being approachable and carrying out conversations with just about anyone he meets; from babushkas to gopniks to little kids.
I did however get a little worried when the old man asked for his documents. I'm just assuming here, but because the man read his name out loud leads me to believe that perhaps he wanted to see if he had an Armenian name or not. This is just a hunch.
For anyone who doesn't know, ethnic Armenians , regardless of their nationality/passport, cannot enter Azerbaijan. It's one of the rare cases where an entire ethnic group is forbidden by law to enter a nation regardless of which passport they hold. There have been exceptions in the past. For example, certain athletes competing in Baku for sporting competitions, or just recently when a Armenian journalists were granted permission by the state to visit Azerbaijan. But generally speaking, if you have a last name ending with "ian" or "yan", chances are that you'll be blocked from entering the country at customs.
Regardless, it is quite clear towards the end of the video that he will not be visiting Azerbaijan anytime soon. Not because he doesn't want to (because clearly he really enjoyed it) but once he enters Armenia and thereafter Artsakh (Armenian name for Karabakh), he will have a huge stamp on his passport and that will get you arrested if he ever enters Azerbaijan again. He will need to wait to receive a new passport with blank pages before trying to visit again. But even then, if he does indeed visit Karabakh, authorities can just find his videos and that in itself will be enough to get arrested.
Changed the title to " KGB encounters in Azerbaijan". Most probably to get better hit-scores.
Typed in kingfeemer to learn about the beer, found this subreddit, life is now better. Jai Bhole ki..
I wish he would stop changing the fucking video title all the time. It is annoying.
I've watched the formula1 races in Baku and wondered what the rest of the country is like. I've read estimates that costs of hosting a race are near one billion dollars per decade so I wonder how it's paying off for them.
Gross.
