song Born on a CrossCountry Journey after his wife gifted him a vintage car following the loss of his father captures the essence of exploration in New [Music] Beginnings in this Jeep I wrote the song traveler my wife was asleep in the passenger seat I was driving and the sun was coming up over the horizon I wrote the song while I was driving we wound up stopping in Gallop New Mexico that night and I had to you know take the guitar inside and figure out how to play it so that that was how that song got written next we have fire [Music] away the emotional depth of fire away goes be on metaphors tackling The crucial theme of mental health with a music video that leaves a lasting impact every time you watch the music video you honestly just get tears in your eyes and I feel like we can all relate to the tragic story that is told in this song in some way when Stapleton sings honey load up your questions pick up your sticks and your stones and pretend I'm a shelter for heartaches that don't have a home choose the words that cut like a razor and all that I'll say is fire away when compared to the metaphor as a gun firing away this is truly spine chilling and a creative Masterpiece this just highlights the importance of talking to someone you can trust if you're ever in that place and to have people in your corner that you can lean on Tennessee whiskey pays homage to the David Allen Co classic solidifying its place as a Timeless anthem of the 2010s that refuses to fade [Music] away we all know that when we hear Chris Stapleton songs years from now that it's just going to be provide an intimate glimpse into stapleton's wider range of songs that feed into his signature style the story behind the naming is rooted in reserving the rich history of the studio signifying a return to the basics of creating just good music despite not being as career defining as traveler these albums showcase stapleton's consistency in delivering quality music from a room volume one gave us gems like broken Halos a memorable track that earned a Grammy award for the best country song that year broken Halo this emotional song explores themes of loss and Redemption and it resonated deeply with a lot of [Music] people shifting to from a room Volume 2 it continued the streak with standout tracks like millionaire and Midnight Train to Memphis which serves as the brother song the second one to know off of volume one [Music] as our musical Journey progresses through Chris stapleton's discography we've come to the starting over album an album defined by introspection and renewal the clean white cover kind of serves as a visual metaphor for the whole thing kind of symbolizing New Beginnings at the heart of this album lies the title track starting over an Anthem that not only opens the narrative but sets the tone for a new chapter in stapleton's musical [Music] Journey it's a nice good feeling acoustic tune that makes you want to jump in the car with your wife husband girlfriend or boyfriend or your friends and take a chance and roll the dice as Stapleton says and see where the wind takes you go on a journey or visit your friends on the coast just about enjoying life within this collection and one standout track and the hit of the record you should probably leave emerges as a storytelling Masterpiece the song masterfully captures the experience of navigating a relationship that may not be the best for you the lyrics One sip of your wine and now I'm sitting here for the whole night paint a vivid picture of surrendering to Temptation his delivery adds a layer of raw authenticity making the emotions almost real as he sings about the inevitable consequences I know you and you know me it's a moment of self-awareness acknowledging the predictable yet irresistible path [Music] ahead The Narrative unfolds like a snapshot of real life scenarios we've all encountered where one choice leads to another and before you know it you're entangled in a situation you foresaw but couldn't resist this track not only stood out on the album but left a mark cementing its play as a standout reflection of steton ability and capturing the essence of human experiences through his music overall on this record to me it really solidified that steton is always going to make songs for us that really strike a chord they're always going to connect with us he's going to make hits that's just how it is and I also thought Arkansas was a really cool song that I just pictur myself in a garage band just like shredding on a guitar throughout his journey up until this point he's managed to collaborate with Ed Sheran Cheryl Crowe and be on the Metallica Blacklist cover album with his performance of nothing else matters but before heading into the long awaited brand new album hire I wanted to talk about this career defining [Applause] [Music] moment and you see I still remember watching this and was in awe by the performance I think it's great to see the athletes and coach wear their heart on their sleeve before the Super Bowl and get emotional but as a Titans fan I think it's pretty satisfying to see the head coach of the Eagles Nick serani cry but this just proves that Chris Stapleton has the ability to make grown men [Applause] cry well the time is 20123 and we have the album high this album serves as a testament to his consistency and an ability to Captivate audiences as I go through this track list I hear South Dakota kind of reminding me of Arkansas on the last album it again has that hard rock and roll Vibe transporting listeners out west with its unwavering confidence a perfect anthem for the free spirited [Music] in personally I don't have a Harley or I don't ride motorcycles but if I did this would be the perfect song as I just hear stapleton's voice with with power in the background kind of blaring it while I'm going to Surge of South Dakota man this would be like the perfect song for that however it seems like a true classic of hire reveals itself in White [Music] Horse this song is a fascinating Journey starting with slow and steady strums before building Into The Narrative of someone navigating the complexities of love and the desire for Freedom it captures the essence of a running man's State of Mind a de that Stapleton explores I recently heard this song on the radio in the garage and remember thinking to myself like dang this song sounds so good and I know a lot of times you think okay the number one song from each album It's kind of mainstream okay like we want to explore the other Tunes a little bit more but this song You Can't Deny it's a killer track and it's straight out it it just rocks noteworthy is the track higher showcasing stapleton's vocal abilities and pushing the boundaries of his [Music] range it's just silky smooth the song becomes a testament to his artistic Evolution adding another layer to his collection of songs toward the end of the song I don't think I've ever heard him sound like that with him going up and hitting that higher register in his voice but that is just awesome one last highlight that I'll cover is the track the bottom I just love the chorus of this tune plain and simple I feel like it's very singable and makes you just just want to sway back and forth it brings its own unique flavor to the overall collection of songs and I can really see the audience at his concerts just singing it back to [Music] him with hire it's evident that Stapleton continues to deliver not only what fans love but also surprises that showcase his versatility as an artist he just does what he does I just do what I do so now we're here talking about Chris 's Legacy and I know that we're not done with his overall career but he's destined to be etched as among the greats of Kentucky a region known for producing remarkable artists foremost to be hailed as one of the greatest songwriters of his generation his lyrical abilities unmatched his musical prowess marked by a voice of power will stand as a testament to his unique talent beyond just his music his authenticity humility and kindness will leave a lasting imprint stapleton's Legacy is also woven into the fabric of his hits the multitude of awards and recognition he's garnered will undoubtedly become a Cornerstone of his musical Legacy while his shart topping hits will echo through the years ensuring he remains a legend in music history keep on making hits Chris because the world needs it and it's a better place with you in it but as promised I want to give a spotl for upcoming musicians that have tons of talent that deserve to be heard so today we're going to be listening to Devin Brinsfield from California he's a country artist that has been killing it recently and this is a little snippet of a song called [Music] trouble so easy to [Music] find it may be killing me but I don't really [Music] mine just a bottle his scar couple lines looking for me then is all you're going to find I just love the sound of the song it kind of has that gritty Rock vibe that a lot of steton uh songs have kind of like Arkansas and South Dakota so definitely stream him wherever you stream music on Spotify Apple music wherever but that's all I have for today to's video I'll see you in my next one take [Music] care
