In one part of the sea of Lazi today, there is a lighting every night that gives them fear. A mystery ship that has a roaring sound made the land shakes. so they called it 'Tayog-Tayog' from the Visayan word 'Tay-og' It means shaking. The ship is huge. Old! It is different from the ships for the people. The mystery ship can only be seen every 12 midnight to 2 a.m. But the intrigue of this, the mystery ship, when it suddenly appeared, it also disappeared quickly. So they called it "Ghost Ship". And one thing that is shocked, it is not the people who rode in it. but those were spirits? I've asked the elders if what is that thing. It is 'Tayog-Tayog', the ship of the spirits. Lanie, a newcomer in the city of Siquijor, doesn't believed about the mystery ship. I really don't mind it because in my opinion, its just stories that are not true. Until she even saw it. I looked it, and I was shocked because you can see a shutter of light It seems it has disco there. Every night, she waited it and saw every time. It doesn't fail to show up. We consult it to Philippine Coast Guard about the said mystery ship. They have no records and schedule to the ship with route in that location at that time. For the ships that is scheduled here in Siquijor province, we're negative here, Sir. And even in nearby ports which are Tagbilaran Port, Dumaguete Port and even here in Mindanao side. The Coast Guard joined with Lanie and our team to wait on the seashore in Lazi. At 12 midnight, they didn't saw nor shadow of the said mystery ship. But around 1 a.m., they have spotted. It just stopped! It doesn't move! And our team were shocked at what they saw. On this opportunity, it was registered and recorded by camera. There's a light that looks like the shape of a ship. According to Richard, Lanie, and even Commander Ramacho it must be the ship they've been waiting for. And just like folktales circling in Siquijor, Not only one mystery ship was found. but two of them. So two lights was seen as if they met each other in the middle of the sea. It suddenly disappears! Its still there! Getting few! While the first ship or the first light gets further away, it is noticeable that its lights was dimming. And the other said ship or light gets vibrant. Later, the first mystery ship disappeared. The second ship was swallowed by the dark. I was so glad that ma'am (Commander Ramacho) was here because.. ..we're not longer alone. Many already knew this now. There has no port there. All of us know that we saw it went through there in the middle. Wherein a ship appeared, it vanished there. Our team was coordinated to the shipping lines from Cebu, Negros Oriental, and Mindanao to confirm if their ships were sailing in Lazi at that night. But their ships were not scheduled at that time. According to the residents, the mystery ship always landed to a place they called "Bulwarte", the city of the spirits. That the tunnel is located in a cave at Maria This Thursday (Jan 10), Ed Caluag, a paranormal investigator, flew to Siquijor to investigate the said mystery ship. Before going to the cave, they need to offer. It is a sign of respect that we're here. When they arrived in the cave, For now, I feel their strong presence even in the night. At the left side, a ship was appeared. After 10 minutes, the two ships crossed again. It has a strange feeling, a stronger one. So definitely, a paranormal phenomenon was happening there. Because earlier, before it appeared, it was cloudy at first. After, the stars were not visible. And after that, the ship appeared and that time was consistent. We're entering in that time called witching hour. which is 12 midnight to 3 a.m. Meanwhile, rode on a speedboat, Philippine Coast Guard Siquijor Station chased the ships to get closer to them. and to see what are these things. They are far away! We can't get closer to them, Sir! They're not approaching to human! As if they crossed over the lighthouse, the said mystery ship.. ..was disappeared. Diliman, Prof. Carolyn Sobritchea who studied unexplained phenomenon in Siquijor And based on the study, the residents who saw the mystery ship was actually real ships. They misconceive it as ghost ships because of the stories of the elders. Another characteristic of Siquijor is it always crossed by the typhoons. And sometimes it is cloudy. Maybe there has a ship passing by. But it makes a different images. We consulted this to PAGASA if there has weather phenomenon that creates light in the mid sea. There has a term called mirage, that make an atmospheric duct that is a layer that became lens. The lens make different images, even in coastline or it has coat in that area, or any object. So the formation changes because of the mirage. Its light was consistent unlike the other lights. You see it glaring and visible to the eyes. To my heart and mind, that is what I've saw every night. If that is really a vessel the way I see it, it is dangerous because they met each other in the middle. It's risky. Every ship has a schedule to follow. So they have to comply with us, sir deficit of public convenience. If and when they didn't follow their stated schedule to operate, we have corresponding sanctions to that. Whether it is true or not, the mystery ship for the people of Siquijor will remain.. ..mysterious.
