Kalashnikov USA How-To: KS-12 Field Strip

welcome to the Kalashnikov USA how-to video series we want to congratulate you on your purchase and let you know that the Kalashnikov USA family stands behind its products and that we are here to support you make sure that you work in a well-lit and clean environment making sure your tables free of ammunition and that you are wearing proper safety equipment before you begin make sure if I arm is clear and pointed in a safe direction to clear a firearm you're going to remove your magazine disengage the safety and open your bolt verifying that your mag well and chamber is free of ammunition now that your shotgun has been cleared you're going to start the field stripping process first locate the detent in your recoil spring guide and press down while pressing down push forward on the recoil spring guide to release the top receiver cover now you can grab the rear of the top of the receiver cover and pull up to remove from the receiver once the receiver cover has been removed press forward on the recoil spring guide to release it from the receiver next we need to remove the bolt carrier assembly grab the charging handle and pull the carrier to the back of the receiver until it releases once released you can pull up and out to remove the bolt carrier assembly finally to remove the bolt from the carrier simply push the bolt back while rotating clockwise until it's clear the grooves in the bolt carrier then pull forward to remove the bolt now let's reassemble your cast off series shotgun take your bolt carrier and bolt insert your bolt into the channel in your bolt carrier then rotate your bolt counter clockwise until it stops into the camp Channel then pull it forward allowing to ride the cam channel until stops again next you want to make sure that the rails on the bolt head and the bolt body are aligned next you want to make sure that your hammer is pushed down now you can insert the bolt carrier assembly into the shotgun aligning the bolt carrier assembly with the rear of the shotgun push down and push forward now take your recoil spring guide insert it into the bolt carrier assembly while maintaining forward pressure insert the recoil spring guide into the grooves in the rear of the receiver next take your receiver cover answer it into the grooves in the rear sight base while maintaining four pressure pushed down on the receiver cover until snaps into place now that your ekl shotgun has been reassembled you should perform a function test start by charging your shotgun make sure your shotgun is pointed in a safe direction then pull the trigger and hold in position while holding the trigger pull the charging handle again then release the trigger allowing for a reset if your trigger resets properly you're performed a successful function test all the information contained in this video can be found in your owner's manual which is also available for download at the Kalashnikov USA website at WWF USA calm thanks for watching
