When I was in college, I went to the local Brookstone store that sold, among other things, RC helicopters. What made it worth the drive was the UNLIMITED warranty they sold with the copter. For an extra $50 (if I remember correctly), they would provide UNLIMITED replacements. The guy in the store said "As soon as you buy this, you could put it on the ground, smash it with your foot, and we'd give you another one on the spot."
