When I saw his head I thought "the CGI isn't that bad!" Then I saw his stubby ass arms and legs and it just completely took me out of the video.

This is the weirdest video. The model is bizarrely proportioned, the movements are floaty, the lips don't really form shapes his mouth just kind of opens, this is so weird. I do like the texture on his skin though

Well. That was unfortunate. If I was Juice I would be coming back as a ghost to haunt whoever animated this and gave it the green light. Honestly embarrassing. Looks like those little cartoons from those ringtone Ads back in the day.

I havent seen the animator/animation team behind this before, but it's so obvious it was either rushed as hell or they're inexperienced. The lipsync is very off but it looks like it was the rigger's fault, doesn't look like there's many controls on the mouth.

I think the animator left his arms and legs in IK (a type of control system based on animating around the end points like hands or feet, where the end points are locked in place) which is fine but requires a lot more polish to get looking right. Definitely legs are IK but not sure about arms.

Not sure if this was intentional, but the animator left out the holds, so instead of being snappier and more realistic the animation comes out very floaty and soft. I'm pretty sure this wasn't intentional because the timing is all fucked up when he dances but you never know.

The materials don't mesh together very well.

The lighting is also a bit fucked in some places, super overexposed.

I could go on for a lot longer but I dont think anyone is gonna read this anyways.

EDIT: clarifications!

A rig is the control system of the model. It allows the animator to move everything without damaging the original model. If it isn't done correctly, the animator can have a lot of trouble moving things naturally.

This is an example of an IK rig. Notice how the hands and feet are stuck in place while the joints adjust around them? This is useful for picking up objects, running or walking, etc. Anything that requires the hands or feet to not slide a lot.

This is an example of an FK rig. Each joint rotates to control it. Nothing sticks in place. This is generally an easier way to animate 'acting' and movement that doesn't require interacting with objects.

Note that most competent rigs will have a way to switch between IK and FK, even in the middle of an animation.

When I say "holds", I'm referring to the timing of the animation. The way that 3D animations are done now is that the animator will make the main poses, then 'spline' it. This means that the computer finds the shortest route between each position, and animates all the frames in between.

The reason this isn't good is because humans aren't constantly in a smooth motion from one pose to another, we pick up speed and drop it depending on the action and stay stuck in poses for amounts of time. A way to control this is to 'hold' the animation: take the smoothed animation done by the program and make it hold that key pose for longer. This is hard to give an example of through a gif, just trust me when i say you don't want an animation without holds.

Materials aren't the same as textures. A material is a set of parameters telling how that object should interact with light, like how shiny it is.

And the lighting is pretty self explanatory, a general rule is that a light should never be bright enough to leave some pixels pure, 100% white. Some parts of the music video have some points of interest (like his face) COMPLETELY blown out.
