JSP Force 8 Half Mask Review (nCov suitable)

hello so today I'm going to do a video on this this is the JSP force 8 sort of half face mask respirator which you can put either particulate filters on or vapor filters or probably a combination of the two it seems to be cheapest with the particle filters the P free or P 100 rated which is really good because with all the corona stuff that's the type you actually really need so at the moment these are like 17 18 pounds on Amazon co uk price may vary again they keep seem to keep selling out and getting them back in stock within a couple of days so there'll be a link in the description to these along with other masks but I wanted to get one will actually do a review of it because I knew enough about them to recommend them but I wanted to actually you know get one to say you know just how good it really is so it's a fairly good design it's kind of like a free M design just made by a different company I believe this may be another case of they're made somewhere like China and then different companies rebrand them but these are ones that actually have a decent enough quality control if you look on Amazon most of the reviews for the you say about you know four-star average for five-star average we've you know like a few hundred or thousand reviews that's good so let's open the pack it up it says the puzzle scissor picture at the top let's see oh yeah there we go we can just do that so we'll do that and then you can also get a resealable bag for it which is good so quite a nice smell actually in there reminds me of the old smell when you type in like video game DVD cases if you're anybody remember that from like a while ago yeah that's quite good so there's a big instruction manual a we won't bother really great work so here we go here is the mask itself so this is the important bit to look at so what you've got is I guess that's just a bit plastic they had in there to keep to the shape of it remove this plant prior to use so yeah that was just the thing to keep it nice and storage so yeah looks pretty good you've got your um head harness here that you're pretty familiar with if you've seen free m style masks before and neck style strap which basically you tighten one bit to keep it tight around the back your head one bit to keep your tummy on the top and here's the filters let's just remove the filters and take a look at them but they look very similar to the free end type louver the name is of the plastic free M filters with a p3 or p1 in them so let's just figure out how we used to attach for the mask itself assume it's twist and remove the there we go our exact same system as free em it's just the full prom filter not a free prom filter so you go let's mask no intake valve it sees seams on the mask the intake valve is on the filter that's absolutely fine but you know that's just how they've done it so let's put this back on there we go and I can't open the case of our tools and I don't want to damage an immediate one but it seems like these are basically the exact same internals I would guess as the 3m equivalents so that's good the advantage the plastic haze filters like this as if somebody sneezes or coughs right next to a filter it's not going in you can see the HEPA filter directly in there so yeah that's completely safe and suitable for coronavirus cause I know that's what everybody's gonna be asking so let's put this on so what you do first is do your neck strap there what I'm gonna do is take my glasses off for a second then pop them back on so I'm going to pop them on top being it right let's get this o is those smell really nice it's got that very old-fashioned kind of rubber smell which are like after you tighten these that that's a really convenient way of doing it so that's that bit tightened and then the bit at the back of the neck I assume you tighten probably near there if I can find whether it's a tightness there there's one side there's the other side well I might do just to play it safe is take this back strap off him in it just I'm not putting too much tension here tighten each of these bit with it off there there you go that's one bit tightened now we'll do the one on this side try and do roughly evenly cuz I don't want to put too much force in the plastic and snap it right so that's that bit done know what to pop this back across there's obviously elastic news it stretches a bit there we go that's not nice good strong connection on there nice bit on the thing so it's it's got a pressure to press to check bit here so that's the yellow that works oh yeah that's cool that's a very good pressure system XL valve looks alright see that this is very similar to a free M this is try it with glasses and see how well it works a glass because some of these masks will look better with glasses and others but let's just see yeah that's not too bad I mean as you can see the glasses are kind of sitting on there a bit but in terms of you know how you wear glasses with it and actually at least see to some degree yes you can and you should be able to wear goggles with this because one of the things people kept going is Omaha face masks aren't good against Corona because they don't protect your eyes you can just literally get goggles to go over your eyes if you wanted to do it that way yeah this is actually very comfortable for it is and probably actually better than the more expensive 3m ones I think I prefer the strap system where you tighten it there so that's good yeah I'll tell you what let's just loosen those straps a bit let's see how easy it is to do with the mask on because ideally you want a strap system where you can tighten and loosen the straps of the masks you know cuz I'm not too sure I see it's the ones where you have to push a little thing on there there we go so it's fully loosen both of these you've also got what looks like an adjustable head harness here yeah you have so you can either tighten or loosen this depending on your skull size that's pretty good let's get that back on yeah you know I'm not doing up as tight this time as I want to see if that works better with my glasses if I have this not as tight looks like it is that of my glasses like that still seems to be making an airtight seal yes the glasses aren't breaking to see all that as you can see so yeah that's really good still airtight yeah so brilliant this would actually be a really good mask if you wanted one for like hardware and industrial type stuff um yeah these are actually excellent pardon my french 417 pounds 18 pounds sort of price on Amazon good enough protection for what you need a lot cheaper than the proper 3m ones and these are certainly better made in some of the Chinese freon copies I imagine if you're in America a lot of other Western countries you can get equivalent to these that might be branded differently but yeah all in all very good and as I said it's got the p3 filters that came with it for the year sort of 1718 pound sort of price this one I think says medium so you can obviously get these in small and large I assume mediums the one most sites or stocking bigger numbers medium seems fine for me so get your chin sits inside it there oh I don't know how visible that will be on the camera yeah chin sits in it like that and yeah all very good definitely more comfortable than like 3m 7500 I'd say even though that's meant to be made from a better sort of silicon material that's a bit too kind of folding oh yeah this is but one of the best half face masks I've used other than like the MSA well and the Scott one that use forty millimeter filters these proprietary filters are also cheaper I'd notice than the free m equivalents so in general this just seems to be a very similar mask to a 3m one as all things that Excel that would come off a lot but now as you can see there that's the excel valve and it's working but yeah the press to check filter design is actually really clever where you can just squeeze those bits that yeah works really well so yeah if you get one of these not much more to say about it the price on UK Amazon is excellent there will be a link in the description for people outside of the UK you see if you can get this same mask or a very similar equivalent if you're interested in this one for sort of a similar price range yeah you could certainly wear this with glasses and goggles I've got some snowboarding goggles coming soon so I can demonstrate them with half face respirators but bear in mind quite a few of my heart face respirators I've given to friends and family at this point so I won't be able to go back and do videos on those but you know they've got more useful than me so there we go but yeah this JSP for sake it is actually very very good and I'm glad I've been recommending these because yeah it's actually better than I imagined I thought it would be just you know a generic 3m sort of quality mask but I'd actually say this is better than some of the free and ones and it's a lot cheaper as well so you know it would be absolutely fine for industrial type use as well sort of sanding grinding all that sort of stuff of course the thing everybody wants to ask about at the moment is coronavirus and yes with these p3 filters it would work against that and I imagine they do ABEC filters or a Beck and p3 filters for it as well organic vapours you know with p3 a bit like 3m do all the various filters and that yes very very good so yeah I'd highly recommend this you
