the father's desire for all of you is there and there's a reason I'm preaching these messages these few weeks all right I'm preaching messages on strong comfort and consolation full assurance because the father's desire is that his children come to him boldly you know come to him not like an abused dog you know a dog that's been abused every time the master raises his hand to just flip his hair the dog goes like thinking the Masters about to hit him you know you know that the dog has been abused God wants his children to him boldly knowing there's no more judgment that all the judgment is passed amen and what is in front of you is just hope and a beautiful future amen amen all the judgment is passed praise God now some people don't believe that and unfortunately amongst them a people who seem to be like you know theologians and people who preach sometimes in such a way that you can lose your salvation and we are touching on this series about whether you can lose your salvation and we're looking at all the passages that normally people bring up to to try to enforce the point their point that that you can lose your salvation but actually if you take a verse I'll be setting remember context is king you take a verse out of this context all right they take a verse out of context you have Co n left all right clink on anybody all right you must leave the verse in its context amen so that's what we intend to do and because of that we're not dive right into it okay are you ready and all this series of messages they are calculated to impart into your heart this blessed assurance and strong boldness amen to come into his presence that's how God wants his children to come amen I mean it's no testimony all right no but testimony for people to see children coming to parents like you know so afraid and and so afraid to be themselves and all that you know that child has been abused the child is under fear Amen that's how we treat God sometimes and it's very sad you know that it's because of wrong belief you can tell that you have a wrong belief somewhere in your belief system when you see the result the result is depression or uncertainty you know some people think some people try it on this idea that if you can make people feel insecure they'll keep on coming to church and then you'll keep on you know watching their lives making sure their lives are riding on nothing could be further from the truth amen is only those who are secure that can rest and those who rest well flow well those who are resting in the finished work the Spirit of God flows in them amen and remember what I said the last time joy and insecurity cannot coexist when there's insecurity in a relationship there cannot be joy amen you watch Channel it will tell you that a man if a girl is feeling insecure about the husband she cannot be joyful but when there's security amen when that's acceptance when there's there's a comfort amen what wasn't happened the the loved one would feel so joyful amen with blessed assurance can have a good amen so I am here to tell you Church that God's desire for you is that you have strong consolation and a heart full of assurance of faith that God loves you God accepts you and God is on your side why is this important because when you face the fight of life whether it is a what what the ladies face just now the lady on the testimony video whether it's a simple fight like on the road you're driving your Butler lose your temper or whatever it is remember this it's vital during such times that you realize and you are aware that God is on your side and God is not on your side until your next sin and then he withdraws somehow that's how we always conclude all right that's not we are not for sin we are against sin but the antidote against sin is security assurance of faith amen that's what gives you power to overcome sin praise the Lord so let's look at the scriptures just passing in review let's look at the Hebrews 6 we covered that the last time and remember Hebrews 6 says therefore is that for by saying therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ let us go on unto perfection that's how it begins literally saying let's leave the school of MO this and let's go on to the school of Christ let's leave the ABC of Christ the ABC of Christ is actually found in the Old Testament it is the laying on of hands of the offerer of the sinner who is offering he offers the lamb he plays his hands on the head of the lamb that's the ABC of Christ amen how many know the lamb is not the real lamb Christ is the real lamb so is the ABCs and every time they go into the Mikve the call in Hebrew are the waters of emotion let's call the doctrine of baptisms or washings and the Apostle Paul by the spirit I believe Paul is the author of Hebrews Paul says leave all these ABCs of Christ behind let us go unto perfection amen perfection is Christianity perfection is what Christ has accomplished amen then is it therefore it is impossible for those who were once enlightened if you refuse to to go on to perfection you go back to this ABCs of Christ which is actually Judaism Old Testament you go back to the law it's impossible for those who were once enlightened it didn't know about Jesus and they still go back to the law it's impossible to renew them to repentance um you understand they're okay some people dispute that and say that it says that there they were once enlightened they tasted the good word of God they tasted the powers of the world to come you see they were tasters but you're not drinkers amen they were once enlightened just like Judas Judas is enlightened Christ is the Messiah Judas believe he's the Messiah Judas did miracles by the power of the Holy Spirit on him not in him in fact some people say that Judas lost his salvation he cannot lost his salvation because none of the disciples were safe they were disciples but they were not they were not born again they cannot be born again because Christ has not yet died it's only by the blood of Jesus Christ by his death and resurrection that we can be born again amen the price must be paid so in the Old Testament all right even during the time of Jesus in Matthew Mark Luke and John Jesus came full of grace but he was still under the Old Covenant he has not yet died the Old Covenant has not yet come to his finished amen to his completion to its fulfillment that will happen at the cross so the disciple twelve disciples they were all followers they were disciples they had the Holy Spirit on them they didn't have the Holy Spirit in them and with the Holy Spirit on them they could do miracles they can cast out devils they can cleanse the lepers they can raise the day they do all kind of miracles you know it is very interesting to me when people say things like what about Hebrews six pass the trains and I like to draw back you know this kind of an answer isn't it wonderful is this it's impossible for God to lie when God says surely blessing our bless you but no one talks about that impossible they are referring to the first impossible actually there are two Impossibles in Hebrews six the first impossible says is impossible if your once enlightened to repent if you turn your back on Christ everyone seems to know that but before the chapter ends is this is impossible for God to lie when God says he wants to bless you amen is impossible to escape his blessing we don't we do not know about that impulse because the first impossible has got to do with men if anything got to do with men we have every reason to fear the second impossible has got to do with God and therefore we have every reason to rejoice in faith and look at the contrast the first impossible says impossible for those who were once enlightened they tasted the good word of God they tasted the powers of the world to come Judas for example did miracles did great exploits power gives you have taught that all these will end up Wells and it end up with nothing but look at the the other impossible the impossible of God it says that all of us have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us now nothing could be nothing is nothing will be weaker than a picture of a man fleeing how many agree and yet it tells it tells us all of us have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope which is Christ amen we have all fled so it seems like fleeing compared to those who are doing miracles and all that this is strong gives this strong power and with nothing this once in the weak faith but it's met with the fullest richest and the most permanent blessings amen is it amazing and yet we are so conscious of this all right so if you want more teaching on that get my last teaching on him what Hebrew six alright we covered there now we go to a next question that people were asked when those advocates of you know they don't believe that God gave us eternal salvation they were bring this verse up what about Hebrews 10 how many heard that before Hebrews 10 so that's great Hebrews 10 if you're not freaked out yet let me just freak you out right now okay with Hebrews 10 so these are the passage that they were bring up for if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins but a certain fearful expectation of judgment and fiery indignation which will devour the adversary's must sound like you know really at returning Israel all right anyone who has rejected Moses law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses how much more was punishment do you suppose will he be thought worthy who has trampled the son of God underfoot thundered the blood of the Covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing and insulted the spirit of grace Wow how much sorrow punishment so when when when someone just reached this out of his context guess what they get fearful alright when actually the whole context here has got to be seen in his context so let's look at this chapter starts with if we sin willfully let's go back to verse 26 for if we sin willfully now how many agree after you are saved honey can say saved are you saved really really saved praise God heaven is your home God is your father your sins are all forgiven amen praise God blessed be the Lord Jesus said I give them eternal life and they shall never perish and never there is a double negative in the Greek who may never ever by any means perish now we have said never allow an obscure passage rob you of the joy and certainty of clear passages remember okay if you come across an obscure passage go back to once Jesus gives you eternal life you will never perish all right or else Jesus lied amen are you with me so when you see your obscure past don't don't let the obscure passage rob you of the joy of the sudden passage for example for God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes are you one of the whosoever Amen or are you a monkey or a horse are you whosoever yes if you believe on Christ yes you will not perish but you have everlasting life amen so these are clear passages amen so keep that in mind as you look at obscure passages okay
