wall so glad i had a house amen i was able to get up this morning and had options i i picked what i wanted to wear i chose not to eat before i came but i if i wanted to eat i had food in the refrigerator somebody said glory to god i had shoes to put on my feet glory to god and i picked the shoes that i wanted i said glory to god hey man i had my right mind and guess what i knew who i was lord amen and guess what else amen we're praying for our brothers and sisters from haiti but you all thank god that you were not under bridge trying to survive with nothing but the clothes that you have on your back somebody ought to say lord thank you you've been good and gracious to us and some of us are too mean to praise him gloria oh my god i said some of us are too mean to praise him amen you need something catastrophic to happen but all i need is a memory glory to god just to think about his goodness some of y'all need him to amen crack the sky open and do all kind of all i need is a memory lord just remind me of what you did i promise i'll praise you i don't need anybody to usher me in the praise some of y'all you need somebody to usher you in i'm my own when i feel like praising him i praise him when i think about the fact that amen i'm diabetic and i have all my toes and i have my fingers i can see my kidneys up functioning 100 you think i'm not going to praise her i woke up in the bed and not on the ground hey [Applause] i said i woke up in the bed and not on lower wacker when i woke up i wasn't in a psych ward i worked on that in jackson park but i was in my right mind i walk up i can feel myself i can see i can walk i got to control myself here and my car didn't slip over nobody shot me while i was driving on the expressway you think i'm not gonna praise her he's been good to me down through the years time for a year and he ain't just started being good before i knew him he was good while i was a sinner he was good [Laughter] hallelujah i would love for you to you amen pray for you and your family um and then we're also praying for uh corey kimball uh is having a small procedure is corey here are you here hey god bless you even stand up we might as well going to convert the church into the building uh team building exercises so we're going to have big giant jenga blocks and different stuff for everybody so we want everybody to come out um we would like for everybody to sign up next week october 10th and we will give you more information at that time but it's october 16 youth and youth and the young adults and the whole well wholeness and wellness team want to partner up and have something for everybody so it's open to the whole church that sound good so um october 10th we're going to have sign up we're going to have two a couple of you for your people and god thank you for your spirit god help me to deliver this message lord i can't do it without you i won't try i thank you god for the power of the holy ghost that helps us all live and do your work in the name of the lord jesus be glorified god you get the glory of all that we do this morning in jesus name amen i just want to send a shout out to to mother swindon again amen right here we thank god for her regardless to us so look real quick i want to just talk to you and build you up this morning because uh whether you believe it or not life does hand us ups and downs i don't care who you are i don't care how long you've been saved you will have those days that will come where you seem a little overwhelmed things happen and you all know what it happens to the saved because you're saved doesn't mean you're not going to have issues and troubles and trials um you know and can i say this and because you pay your tithe doesn't mean you're never going to have financial property amen but what it does mean that the promises that are connected to tithing will always come to play he will rebuke the devour he will see about you god is a god that keeps his word i want to just teach and talk for a few minutes amen life saints of the lord guess what life can really really be great i don't know about you now i know some people you never have a good day but i have good days aren't you glad that god gives you good days amen i have a good day come on let's clap to come from there we have some god gives me good days i i have some weeks that everything is just great amen amen the devil will try to sprinkle a little something in there but for the most part god gives me good weeks amen he gives me good days amen but then there's some weeks some days amen where uh it feels like you know like god you know uh i love you but where are you i love you but i need you to just kind of just kind of shake some things up [Applause] because in life there are ups and downs i said there are ups and downs and amen i don't care how full of the spirit you are you're going to have some ups and downs i don't care how many tongues you talk in you will have ups and downs and you can high five people all you want amen and we can speak i speak life and just like i just spoke life over you but there's a process that even even when we speak it sometimes we still have to go through the process of getting there but the good news is amen the way we handle those ups and downs even it's depending on our shepherd how many of you know you have a good shepherd the bible refers to jesus as the good shepherd i thank god he's not like me guess what i have the potential to fail you as a pastor amen i don't want to it's not my desire but guess what i'm human i don't always make the right decisions even as a pastor i know some of y'all hear from god every week and he talks to you on a regular basis amen and you have you have a front row seat to the throne room and and you and jesus have lunch at gaul of garden and y'all have a great time in the lord and he tells you all the secrets and you have a word he's every day you get a prophetic word that's just for you but i have some days and some weeks where i don't hear anything do i have a witness that sometimes you don't hear anything from god amen and we're no better than anybody else because the bible says at one time on the earth god didn't talk for over 400 years it happens like that i want you to understand me and hear it it happens like that amen glory to god we have those days amen we have good days the ups amen salary increase the ups a new job the ups even a new booth some of y'all got a new boot hey man the ups and some of y'all want to get rid of you boo the downs amen new home new car the ups of life god gives them to us because he's a good shepherd and just to prove it to you he says the lord is my shepherd god is my shepherd i'm not talking about the governor and i'm not talking about the mayor i'm saying to you this morning that the lord is your shepherd glory to god aren't you glad that he's your shepherd glory to god and because he's my shepherd that means i'm sheep we are his sheep matter of fact he says in the 100 psalms that we are amen the sheep of his pasture we are the sheep of his pastor amen he's my shepherd and i'm i'm we are sheep somebody said glory to god and because he's such a a good shepherd he says i won't lack for anything he says i want one in other words the lord is my shepherd and he supplies all of my needs i think we ought to praise him for supplying all of our needs [Applause] amen look and don't don't don't don't have clap because amen you didn't get it yourself what you have you didn't get yourself [Applause] what you've accumulated you didn't accumulate by yourself and sometimes that's why many of us amen will never taste millionaire status because amen we're arrogant over the 100 000 a year and sometimes god will allow things to happen in your life to to touch you on the shoulder and let you know without me you can't do nothing without me you would not have anything amen i know you bougie and i know you got a nice house and you got a nice little penthouse but guess what if it wasn't for the lord you wouldn't have anything some of you got a new car your little bougie them amen amen but guess what don't let that con that success get to your head if it had not been the lord you would not have it it is god that gives power to get wealth it is god that gave you your job it wasn't your education there are some people smarter than you there were some people who did it better than you but god showed you favor [Applause] i said it was favor that got you other folk were in the line for the job other folk applied they had more degrees than you would ever have but guess what when it comes down to favor you can have more than i have but if it's mine i'm gonna get it you can have more money to put down on the house but if it's my house i will have it with no money down you ought to praise god for favor amen and the reason i have favor is because i have a good shepherd on myself he supplies all of my needs that's to come you should never go to sleep worrying about tomorrow you should never go to sleep wondering what you're going to eat the next day when you go to sleep at night and your prayers get glory to god he say it like this give us this day you missed it he says give us this day our daily bread hey you ought to thank god for daily bread i said you ought to thank god for daily bread he gives you daily bread glory to god amen the food on your table came from your shepherd the gas in your car came from your shepherd glory to god amen that's to come you ought to be nice and take somebody home sometimes amen that's to come you ought to be nice and give somebody something sometimes because what you have glory to god is because god gave it to you amen but for the grace of god you would be on skid row but for the grace of god you would be on lower racket but the lord supplies all of our needs according to his riches in glory these are these are the highs of lives god allows us to see the highs somebody said glory to god he says i don't need anything because the lord is my shepherd and i like what what the the message bible says he says this you have bedded me down in lush medals i like that he says you have placed me in a place that is prosperous you bedded me down and lush that means there's plenty amen y'all praise god for plenty this morning somebody's been playing praise amen look i i haven't said like i haven't said this in a long time but everybody just stand in your mouth say i'm rich [Music] so i have everything i need see my mortgage is already paid for next week next year [Music] did you hear what i said i said my mortgage is paid for next year the whole year y'all found out some of the next month i'm talking about the whole year tell somebody my rent will be paid for a whole year [Music] he says you're betting me down in lush medals amen and you find me quiet pools to drink from amen you leave me by the still waters you find me quiet pools in other words you let me drink in peace you let me eat in peace glory to god amen there's no risk of me being a man taking down stream because it's still waters you leave me beside the steel waters and then you restore my soul how many know every now and then you need the lord to restore your soul not that you're a sinner but every now and then you may go through something some of you need the lord to restore your soul right now amen if you trust him he will restore your soul he will bring you back to a good place i told somebody this morning i told somebody yesterday all week i've been declaring it because i am amen i said you know i think uh people ask me how doing this week i said you know i'm in a good place amen y'all realize a good place doesn't mean that your space is good a good place mean mentally i'm in a good place that means that no matter where i am if my mind is in the right place my situation can be bad but if my mind is in the right place i want you to declare this this morning and say i'm in a good place and saints of the lord amen can i tell you what i told them to tonight protect your peace protect your peace amen these are the highs amen handling amen because the lord is my shepherd somebody said glory to god amen i like what he says this third verse and the psalm says he restored my soul he leads me in the path of righteousness for his name sake amen i like what it says in the in the in the message translation it says true to your word listen to this you let me catch my breath every now and then because you go through so much in life the lord will say let me let you catch your breath in other words god's i'm gonna give you a break some of y'all need a break from life and because god is so good he lets me catch my breath glory i've been running so i've been doing so much some of you been doing so much and running and taking care of everybody else and putting yourself on the back burner i'm talking to somebody today amen you've been doing it for everybody waiting on your turn amen i'm here to tell you today that god's gonna let you catch your breath in other words i'm gonna give you a season of ease and i'm gonna give you a season where you don't have to run for everybody i'm gonna give you a season where you can sit down and chill and enjoy the fruit of your labor [Music] [Applause] because some of you are working and you're not enjoying it but he says i'm going to give you amen these are the good times these are the highs but unfortunately saints of the lord we go through down times but the way the reason we can handle the down times is because the lord is your shepherd somebody said glory to god somebody said glory to god he says even now check it out i have i have good days i have wonderful days where the lord gives me ease and he gives me good weeks but sometimes those weeks are not so good these are the down times these are times when you have to he says i like this even when i go through the valley even when i go through the valley glory to god [Applause] i'm here to praise him every now and then you're going to go to the valley glory to god [Applause] we're praising with mama go ahead and praise him and i want you to declare and tell somebody don't be afraid of the shadow because that's all it is shadows don't hurt shadow has never hurt anybody but a shadows love to invoke fear [Music] the way you handle your down times is to know the scope of the enemy so my enemy my enemy can't touch me he can only darken my space he brings fear because he he invokes darkness although i'm going through the valley i'm going through it i'm going to it's a lower a lower place with high heels and high mountains and sometimes when you're in a valley it doesn't look like you can you're gonna find your way out because it because sometimes we are surrounded by stuff but the shadow cannot hurt me and the reason he lets me know i'm going through the valley of the shadow of death he says i'm not going through death i'm just going through the valley i'm going through the shadow of death y'all didn't hear me i said i'm not i see see here's a deal the reason he speaks about this is because death is the ultimate enemy because i can go through pain and i can be healed from pain i can go through situations and come out of them but because death is viewed as the last enemy i need bible readers in here the bible says death is the last enemy that will be destroyed and often times when death comes there's nothing else after death but judgment and so he oftentimes he tries to amen cause you to be afraid of the end the enemy likes to make you feel like the end is coming and so i walk through what might potentially be the end but because i have a shepherd when i walk through the valley of the shadow of death i won't fear no evil and it's not because i'm so big and bold and bad it's not because i know all the scriptures it's not because i've kept all his laws but the reason i won't fear the shallow valley of the shadow of death is because he's with me [Applause] somebody ought to praise god because he is with you [Music] i'm here to tell somebody this morning as i close amen you don't have to be afraid of shadows some of you you're afraid of potentially what might happen this is what the enemy does he tries to make you a man he tries to make you think about what could be that's where the fear comes in the fear of failure the fear of death the fear of failure the fear of death the fear of the fear of not making it the fear of losing the fear of people the fear of losing people losing friends somebody's somebody said somebody said glory to god but tell somebody you can handle this you can handle this [Music] you can handle this this is how we this is how we handle lows in the highs of life i know he's with me you don't know the power of that it must be somebody up here i'm really talking to you because y'all got my attention somebody said glory to god saints of the lord and i'm almost through here says the lord he says the reason you don't have to fear the shadows of death is because i'm with you he says i won't fear no kind of evil listen to what he says he says i will fear no evil for you are with me there there are people in this church that are with me 100 percent and that's something that's with me 50 percent and then this sub is not with me at all and it's just not me but i'm talking about everybody in your life don't you think everybody that says they with you is with you can i can i wake you all up for a second don't by no means don't you think that you have 100 of the focus with you that's really with you and it's okay it's all right but there are people that's with you there are people who say they love you that's wonderful people who support you but the reason i don't fear this life is because i know he's with me take this home with you ultimately it's because the lord is with me and because he's with me he says guess what uh your rod and even your staff will comfort me and then on top of that you prepare the table before me while my enemies are watching glory to god why while the enemy is watching i know we got we i know we got the mumps and i know we got smallpox and i know we got cloven and i know we got all of these diseases and all of these pandemics amen but there is a there's a good disease i want to share with you amen i heard this this morning amen tell your neighbor i got something new it's called watch me ask your neighbor do you have it's called watch me what do you mean watch me amen that means i'm not worried about my enemies because amen amen this this new virus i got it it's for my enemies [Music] and it's called watch me be successful it's called watch me overcome it's called watch me be what you said i wouldn't be tell you i got it i got it good i gotta i gotta watch me he said i'll do it right in front of your enemies watch me overcome watch me be successful [Applause] because the lord is with me he says i'm going to do it not in the closet but he says what i'm going to do for you is going to be in front of your enemies he says i'm going to prepare the table in the presence of your enemies this season y'all some of y'all i'm glad you're doing that some of y'all need to start laughing this morning because what god is going to do for you your enemy is going to have to watch it and not be able to do nothing about it hey glory that's the blessing because guess what normally when the enemy knows the plans he tries to go in and mess it up but when god when god gives you your plans the devil can know the course you're taking and still not be able to do anything about it [Music] saying to the lord the the way i handle my low times is because he keeps me through the valley of the shadow of death i will feel no evil for thou art with me that ride in that staff they comfort me prepare the table and then you anoint my hair with oil amen anoint my head with oil and then he says not only that but you're going to make my cup run over amen a cup running over amen glory to god signifies overflow [Music] and i'm here to tell somebody this morning amen god's going to give you overflow you have to worry about what the enemy is doing you have to worry about he says amen i'm gonna help you to handle amen the highs and the lows because of the shepherd that you serve and he says this ending surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and i will dwell in the house of the lord forever thanks of the lord saints of the lord amen you will have hard times but you'll have some valley moments but the same god that allows us to taste good times he's the same god that will see you through your valley you just cannot be afraid and i'm here to tell somebody this morning amen don't fear what the enemy can do to you don't you fear what man can do to you i'm at that i'm at that place y'all anybody there some of y'all not old enough somehow you don't you haven't experienced enough but hey man you get around this age [Music] what folk think about you don't mean a whole lot not at all do you hear me we've had people to leave this church before and used to be a time i would really really mourn and kind of like when i say more but i would feel really bad and i do i don't want anybody to leave this church you know i think about maybe i should call him and talk to him no if god don't talk to you about coming back you won't get that call i'm not being mean but what i'm saying sometimes we give the folks more attention that left us than we do the people that stayed [Applause] so my intention my attention has to be on you that stage i love the people that left and we're good but i'm not a chaser i'm at that place in my life i don't chase people i love them but i'm not chasing you so one of the worst thing you could do is force somebody to be where they don't want to be can i say it again one of the first thing you do is force somebody to be where they don't want to be it'll never work because you can't trust them if they don't want to really be there [Music] saints of the lord amen trust god make your plans big come on let's give the lord praise i'm done you can handle it you can handle the highs and the lows because there will absolutely be them the doors of the church are open if you're here amen and you know the lord and the partner of your sins may i admire you to give your life to the lord jesus amen god is good amen oh my god saints of the lord you can handle your valley you can absolutely handle your valley you will have loads mike you'll have some days you'll have days where you'll say lord i just feel like throwing up my hands but this is not the time to give up this is the time to trust god for something new something fresh in your life trust him for what he's doing trust him for the build-up that's coming in your life somebody say amen somebody say amen somebody say amen amen glory to jesus christ [Music] amen if you don't know the lord jesus amen you can come amen be a part of the family of jesus christ he loves you he cares about you amen and he'll guess what he'll never leave you forsake you but you must confess with your mouth jesus christ and believe in your heart that god has raised him from the dead amen somebody say amen amen if you're here this morning come and be a part of this ministry man if you know the lord jesus already you're in a good space if you're here you you're saved and you need a church home we'd love to have you as a part of our and we're going to ask amen amen the holy sacrament of the church instituted by amen god himself by jesus christ himself he says if we don't do this we don't have any part with him he said but if we do it and we don't check ourselves and we don't do it amen he says we drink and eat domination to our own souls so we don't want to do that but we want to make sure that we examine ourselves and it's time you can pray to the lord lord if there's anything that i've done that's against your will anything that i've done that goes against your word way in your word we we actually forgiveness right now in the name of the lord jesus this is a serious matter amen communion is serious so that's why we take our time and make sure that we know the meaning of it and that we know this is a time that we should share in prayer amen the devil to make things look worse than what they really are amen but one of the tactics of the lord jesus is to make them seem better and not just seem better but to make them better you've got to trust god don't don't you don't you allow the devil to talk you out of your space in your good place trust the lord with all your heart and he says this lean not into your own understanding but in all your ways acknowledge god [Music] and he might [Music] he absolutely shall direct your path trust him for it in the name of the lord jesus trust god today amen we're going to just be a couple of minutes and share uh they don't have the normal cups the new ones because shipping is backed up in the ports so it's hard to get items now right now it's hard to get have you all been in walmart you see some of the shelves that have empty some of the frozen foods are empty it's because they can't get those ships through the port amen that's kind of like the devil what he does he tries to block your blessing so you can't get the stuff you need but we have the victory oh yes we have a victory so father in jesus name i thank you for this uh these holy sacraments god with the wine and the bread and i thank you god for giving us this task to remember your your suffering and your sacrifice on calvary i thank you for what you're doing right now god we remember what your son jesus did on calvary and today god we celebrate we ask god that you clean our hearts and cause us to walk in victory in the name of the lord jesus amen amen amen our young people are singing at a service at five o'clock kind of left it open you can kind of design your own diet so it wasn't anything that was so strict we just want everyone to eat a little better amen i already know you cheated [Music] there's no doubt i did i know you did we all cheated a little bit there's nothing wrong with cheating a little bit just some of y'all just said well lord since i did it i might as well go all the way somebody i'll cheat every day amen you can't have a four piece every day hey you you eat a boiled egg and water and some turkey bacon for breakfast and then eat a whole half of chicken fried with barbecue sauce hot sauce barbecue sauce lemon pepper and then a whole half order rib tips and tell me well i'm gonna wash it down with a cool drink of water you don't wash it down with someone thanks to the lord but do do the best you can we want you to be healthy and whole that's what it's all about do as best you can amen water is key water is healthy it'll keep you healthy [Music] amen thanks and while while we're waiting let me say this we are going to um we're going to bless our community with our project that we call grocery angels for christmas all right we're not going to do the normal things that we do giving out gift cards this year but we're going to participate in grocery angels and grocery angels is our project that we go into the stores and we randomly pick people and we pay for their groceries [Music] and that's what we're going to do this year so we're going to go so i'm going to need your help to do that the the the the looks on people's on our brothers and sisters face when they get that unexpected blessing is something that you right might and you can participate in it and you can actually go with us we're going to split up into several stores like we normally do but i want us to participate and i think if everybody would give a seat i don't want to tell you how much to give because i don't want us to lose anything but we want to go in i'll never forget i'll never forget the first time we did that uh and we were in thank you we were in uh what's the storm 43rd one stop one stop we were in one stop and um there was a older lady and we just kind of stood back and we would pick somebody to bless and i'll never forget and it just broke the whole store down that those who knew what we were doing we're not there to embarrass anybody but we just try to do it as secretly as possible but i'll never forget there was an older lady and i walked up and i told the cashier i said we are paying for her the lady looked at me and said well i identified who we were and i think her bill was about 157 dollars and she had chosen food over her lights she had chosen food over her life and so it was such a blessing and the lady she stood there and cried the the cashier cried the person behind us cried the manager of the store was crying and those that knew what were going on so i just want you to know the impact that we can have on people so we're gonna do that this year we're gonna we're gonna go in as many stores as we can and that will be based on the giving that you do so we'll get a sunday if you want to start doing it now you can give every every week but we want to do as many people as we can and we're going to that's that will be one of the stores that we'll go to one stop on 43rd we want to do it in this neighborhood because this is the neighborhood that we have been called to uh and we want to do that let's get our community together yes ma'am i can't i can't hear the all all of this is grape juice i can't hear what she's asking me [Music] yeah
