hi big trct Power fans this video comes to you from a farm located in Western Kentucky that raised 12,000 Acres of winter wheat in 2023 they utilized eight John Deere combines to harvest the crop including two x9100 an x9100 and five s790 in this video I would like to focus on the X9 machines and talk about their specifications and list price tag as well as taking a ride in the cab of an X9 1100 equipped with a 50ft wide John Deere HD 50F Hing Draper head and we'll visit with my friend Matt to talk with him about his first year out in the field operating a big X9 I'm up in the cab of a John Deere X9 1100 equipped with the 50t Draper head harvesting wheat and there are three X9 out in this field this X9 1100 with dual wheels X9 11100 on tracks and an X9 1000 just over there with duals and I'm here with my friend Matt hi Matt hey how's it going thanks for another ride along absolutely anytime so big upgrade from the s790 to an X9 1100 it is quite the upgrade it's a pretty nice machine pretty excited about it so what features stand out to you the most on on this machine uh mainly the horsepower and the uh I really like the uh the unloading auger cleanout feature that's really nice when uh when your cart gets full and you still got grain in you you just shut hit the button and it'll clean out your unloading auger for you so you're not you know shutting the auger off and turning it back on full pretty nice how do you like the uh the twin ruter setup on this uh it's doing a good job uh very minimal loss um and the grain quality is good too so just the capacity alone like right now we're running almost 5 mph 50 ft head and 90 Bush of wheat it's pretty pretty good that's a lot of lot of material to bring in yes it is we'd see that wheat just flowing in there it's so pulling in a lot of crop so in the past the s790 with a 45t head what kind of speed were you getting out of that in the similar crop conditions uh in these conditions I they're probably running uh 3 and 1 12 to 4 milph you go load up I'm uh I'm you know pushing five so we're doing a mile and a half faster uh with 5ot more headers so it's quite a bit more acres in a day get covered with these what kind of acres are are you kind of averaging when you're not having to move around too much or um I think you know going through the field we averaging about 25 acres an hour uh I can show you what I we had a pretty good day yesterday and I think tell you just a second here when I get going what I got did 2011 Acres yesterday that's a great day I remember 20 years ago with the 9750 is out here about 125 a day was was the max that was your that was a good day too so far today I've done uh 128 it's it's only 3:00 so not bad I can get another 75 easy here we can see that kind of flexing too when you get in these kind of spots we have a 9R 440 here on a Kinsey 1150 grain cart we can see the X9 really pours the grein out quickly see it's about a 4 second delay when I hit the button to turn it off uh cleans out the AUG that's still got grain in there and it shuts off the cross Aug of the tank and uh cleans out the unloaded AR it's pretty nice still it filling right back up I imagine you're keeping the grain carts pretty busy yeah they're they're struggling they're really going to struggle in corn if we get any corn this year it's pretty dry so hopefully we'll hopefully we see some rain a lot of the Midwest is definitely in in need of it yeah absolutely are there any um cab features or control features that are different than the s790 up here in the the cab room as far as the controls it's all the same it's the same armrest and all that it's got a yeah basically all the same same stuff here I think the cab might be a little wider bigger there's more room over here but uh as far as all the controls and stuff it's all the same so you've got the auto guidance which is really nice when you're doing 50 ft yep see Matt coming up here to the end of the section I saw H you cross right here I saw start messing up so you like the 50ft head good good flex and rolling around and yeah yeah it's uh it's really nice I love the love how it hinges it uh really gets into the L places and stuff now this one has the the flex cutter bar too which we're going to run it in beans on in Flex mode so it'll hinge and cutter bar also Flex too that would be really nice that'll definitely be handy with all the risers out there for [Music] the well Matt I I really appreciate the Ride Along along and definitely impressive machines anytime man come on out and if people want to follow you on Instagram how do they how do they um see your account yep it's uh I am at 567 on Instagram and I've been slacking on my post lately I've been pretty busy but uh I try to post pretty regular about what's going on here sure always good way to see what's going on the farm and also um you've got a you got a band so if you want to see what Matt's in it music wise check it out thanks John Deere combines are manufactured in East Molen Illinois they were introduced for model year 2020 the largest model from the company is the x9100 it's powered by a John Deere 13.6 L 830 tracks and one with duel during the 2023 wheat Harvest they liked the performance of the track so much that they have ordered six X9 1100s with tracks for 2024 in addition to two X9 1100s the farm also operated an x9100 during the 2023 wheat Harvest this machine was delivered in November of 2022 and features a model year 2022 75 years of John Deere Combine production decal the x9100 has similar specifications to the x9100 with a few variations they both share the same dual rotor threshing system and 330 Gall diesel fuel tank they're both equipped with a 13.6 L John Deere power plant but the x9100 offers 630 engine horsepower the grain bin tank on the X9 1000 holds 420 bushels and unloads at 4.6 bushels per second this X9 1000 harvesting wheat in the video is equipped with the optional 31 to move to the next field the X9 unloading augur and powerfold green bin move into transport position for easy maneuverability down the road [Music] the farm harvests from 900 a.m. until 10 pm. at night and in order to keep the combines moving Non-Stop they unload on the go to help the machines keep on moving the farm utilizes four 440 engine horsepower John Deere 9R 440 articulated four-wheel drive tractors that operate 1300 bushel Kinsey 1105 grain carts [Applause] for these big Kinsey grain carts unload 750 50 bushels of grain per minute it takes just under 2 minutes to fill a semi the farm owns 15 semi-rs to move the winter wheat from the field to its 4 million bushel grain system in Good Harvest conditions it takes the farm about 2 weeks to harvest all 12,000 Acres of winter wheat in addition to the X9 combines in 2023 the farm utiliz five 543 engine horsepower 400 bushel John Deere s790 combines equipped with 45 ft wide McDon FD 145 Draper heads [Applause] [Applause] [Music]
