[Music] big tractor power comm is following the 2016 Western Kentucky corn harvest today we're out in the field with a class 9 John Deere s 690 combine harvesting corn with a 16 row corn head we hope that you'll enjoy this video of this monster machine in action [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] here we can see the 40-foot swath of corn that the John Deere 616 C 16 row corn head is picking as it goes across the field this header keeps this 400 bushel John Deere s 690 full throughout the day and it keeps 10 semi trucks rolling nonstop from the field to the bin [Applause] [Music] [Applause] John Deere has 690 combine that were filming today is equipped with a set of ATI tracks which help reduce compaction in the field and also help out whenever there is a muddy looking at some great dried dishes sixteen percent moisture the only difference is a GI tract black wheels and the John Deere tracks are sold with yellow wheels [Applause] compacted the track at 690 were they field having a big 40-foot head it really helps to have the when we see other s6 90s with dual wheels we'll show you the difference so you can compare and the videos [Music] the farm that big tractor power comm is filming on today relies on track tractors to do all of their field work during the year here we can see a John Deere 94-60 RT pulling a JM brainstorm 15:04 bushel cart this farm is unique in that it uses tramline farming where the everything is planted and harvested on 40 feet so we'll see the grain cart following a center tram line to reduce compaction he will loop over to the combine he'll be filled up and then he'll loop right back to that center path that they're making in the field to reduce that compaction the farm relies on 8 360 artis and John Deere 1795 16 Roe 31 Roe interplant planters to plant all of their corn and beans on 40-foot passes here we can see the John Deere s 690 on loading it's got a 28 foot unloading auger it has a John Deere 16 row corn head a model 616 C and its harvesting 40 feet of corn as it comes up here through the field it's pretty neat to see this style of farming where everything throughout the year is done in 40 feet the farm has definitely seen an increase in its yields over the years it's been about a 27 bushel increase on average year to year since they've gone to this style of farming where everything is done on 40 feet and it's really neat to see the big equipment that they utilize to accomplish the style of farming [Music] [Music] here we can see the John Deere s 690 depositing the 616 C 16 row corn head on an under fers HT 42 header wagon because of the large size of the center that definitely cannot be taken down the road so they put it on this underfur header wagon to help transport it [Music] [Music] and now the combine is ready to head down the road here we can see the harvest crew heading down the road to the next field [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] here at 690 the next field john deere 616 see drawling something horn the 616 C header is on the combine and it is ready to head out into the field and start harvesting again we hope that you've enjoyed our big tractor power comm video featuring the class 9 John Deere s 690 combine with a 616 C 16 row horn head it's always impressive seeing these big machines in action if you'd like to see more videos of farm machinery in action visit our website big tractor power com2 linked to over 1,000 youtube videos and to our Facebook page where we share pictures of on a daily basis here s 690 and corner
