Is it just me or is the “objectionable content” this woman found on her Facebook not that extreme? She’s fully clothed in all her selfies, there’s no violent posts/posts about drugs, she’s not a member of the KKK, etc. I’ve seen more objectionable content at a Christian rock concert.

This needs to be seen by more people. I am not sure if you guys have noticed this but in the end she doesn't actually apologise. The gist of what she said is something along the lines of "I am sorry if she feels that way" - this is the sociopath's way of apologising.

This is why you make your all your social media profiles private, unless you are a celebrity. Not dissing her though, it looks like those people are a nightmare to work for. Michelle (the hiring manager?) is obviously insecure that Lily was younger and prettier than her.

on paper Lily looked like the perfect candidate for the job but when a recruiter checked out her Facebook page she was savagely cut from the candidate pool and we have the voicemail recording left on Lily's phone it's the shocking voicemail fail that stuns a jobseeker Lily could you believe what you were hearing and no no my heart was pounding I was just in shock really exposed to KT company employee if my employer wanted to get rid of me for that reason so be it and uncovered the controversial tactic of employers judging job hunters solely on their social media profile for the first time on Australian TV we expose what the company employees really think about Lily and why she didn't even get a foot in the door this is the first time that to my recollection that there's been any recording of such blatant discrimination like most 25 year olds Lily's on social media but she never thought hosting innocent selfies and other pics would amount to career suicide the thing that really gets me is that she she loved my resume she really liked my resume I could have been a possible candidate up for that job until she saw my photos on Facebook for the past few months Lily's been looking for work and one of our toughest job markets Perth but she wasn't around to take a call from Michelle lines from Miss Tia's health regarding an admin role we'll give you a call back tomorrow thank you unfortunately for Michelle she didn't hang up the phone problem the following conversation between Michelle and a male colleague about Lily's Facebook photos was recorded on Lily's phone after taking a swipe at Lily's look the office cohorts then admit they wouldn't be checking Lily out online if she was a bloke the damning discussion provides an exclusive insight into how an employer can spike someone's job prospects by making assumptions about the person's online profile I was obviously a clear applicant for that job yet she wasn't going to give me a chance she wasn't going to call me in because of my looks because of my tattoos and and that's just not right yeah that's just not right and that really upset me how they you looked social media savvy oh sometimes this is Michelle from misty s health who made the call we caught up with her outside LD can I just say that I prefer if it didn't go public because the thing is is that she she doesn't need to make a public she feels discriminated against can you understand why adding insult to Lily's injury a Michele's own facebook pics both accounts the public so let's compare the two both Michelle and Lily clearly love animals they enjoy a drink and a dress-up you could argue Michelle's online photos racier than release in fact there's little difference between the sort of pics Lily posts than what the entire STS office team puts up on their public social media accounts for the world to see so I just want to know where the differences Michelle even uses social media to run a clothing business on the side which Cesar take to the catwalk Lily Riggins her tattoos are the reason Michelle's got a clausal yeah it's not as if I have have them all over my face or I don't have any offensive language any offensive words and they're actually all animal based so I love nature and I love animals this is something I would typically wear to work it's nice it's long-sleeve it's professional Lily is only too happy to show us who work attire that would cover those tattoos so the sleeves are obviously come right to your wrist cover me the whole way down you be the judge here's Lily ready for a night out and here she is ready for work not a tattoo in sight is it the tattoos no not at all my brother has a complete full set of tattoos and I think so what was wrong with the online image I don't want to go into that because that's my that I'm that is my personal beliefs values but that come into fitting someone into the team that I work Lily's mom Helen also works in health care she can't believe how her daughter's been treated I felt sorry for Lily and I feel disgusted actually I can't believe that in this day and age that they make these statements and go and search someone's Facebook just for a job interview it's there on the CV that's what the CV is for it's about what you can do and for whom not how you look it's certainly not fair because they could actually be robbing themselves as well as the candidate of a great match recruitment expert Ross Clinic believes Lily is a victim of discrimination the whole point in hiring someone is to hire them based on their capability to do the job and how anyone can make an accurate assessment about someone's capability to do a job based on what they find on Facebook particularly just photos is beyond me it's got nothing to do with the company that I work for oh one tonight that very clear Michelle might be devastated about being busted but she still Becks her ability to judge a book by its online cover but I can also say that I do know that social media profiles are very important in these day and age and and anyone would be silly to think that every employer is not looking at social media and I think we should probably just make them more less public more private what have you got to offer the workplace lots I'm friendly I'm caring I'm organized I know lots to do with admin I'm actually a trained estimator as well so I love dealing with numbers and stuff like that yeah I'm just a good team player don't give up you know stay strong stay positive yeah heap trying you will get there in the end Lily might have lost out because of her look but she's won the support of their people I think it's really unfair yeah I would probably be very upset if I were to hear that I think that's ridiculous you need to meet someone face to face it's probably unfair because people you know they're sort of talking inviting assumptions that they would you want to see a loser job not necessarily no I think that's a little bit harsh but I just want her to know how really it made me feel whether it come from her or anybody it's pretty horrible to hear that and someone commenting on my looks the way that she did I do just want to say sorry to Lily Rose if I have hurt your feelings and certainly wasn't my intense it was an immature moment for me in the office sts health told us it will take appropriate action internally based
