good morning it's nice to meet you please take a seat how are you feeling today good morning thank you I am a bit nervous but also excited how are you I'm doing well thank you it is normal to be nervous let's start with some easy questions can you tell me your full name and where you are from my name is Alex Johnson I am from a small town near here I have lived there all my life nice to meet you Alex I'm Linda what do you know about our company and why do you want to work here your company is famous for making good products and for helping the community I want to work here because I like to help people and and I want to learn new skills that's a good reason tell me about your education where did you go to school I went to Lincoln High School in my town I studied hard and finished last year my favorite subjects were math and computer science very good have you done any work before like a person time job or volunteer work yes I worked in a bookstore for 6 months I also volunteered at the local library helping people find books and using computers those are great experiences what did you learn from those jobs I learned how to talk to customers and solve their problems I also learned how to work in a team and manage my time excellent skills to have in this job you will need to use a computer are you comfortable with that yes I am comfortable with computers I use them a lot in school and at the library good to know now imagine a customer is angry because something went wrong what would you do first I would listen to the customer carefully then I would say sorry and try to find a solution it's important to stay calm and polight that's a very mature approach how do you keep yourself organized when you have many tasks I make a list of all my tasks then I start with the most important one I check each task off the list when I finish it good strategy let's talk about teamwork can you give an example of when you worked well with others in school we had a group project we had to build a model Bridge everyone had different ideas but we talked and made a plan together our Bridge was the strongest in the class that sounds like a successful project how do you handle it if you don't agree with a teammate I think it's important to listen to other people if I don't agree I explain my idea and why but I am always ready to try different ways it's great to hear that now what are your goals for the future I want to learn more about technology and maybe study more in the future I also want to help my family those are wonderful goals how did you hear about this job opening I saw it on the internet I was looking for jobs near my home and your company's job was perfect I'm glad you found us if you get this job when can you start I can start anytime I am ready to work as soon as you need me perfect as I mentioned earlier we sometimes need staff to work in the evening or on weekends would that be okay for you yes I can work at different times I am flexible great now about the the salary we offer a training program in the beginning after training the salary will be $30,000 a year is this acceptable for you yes that sounds good I am happy with that salary fantastic before we finish do you have any questions for me about the job or the company yes I have one question what are the main qualities you're looking for in a candidate for this position we are looking for someone who is hardworking eager to learn and good at communicating with others someone who fits well with our team thank you Linda that helps me understand the job better you're welcome Alex do you have any other questions no that's all for now thank you for explaining everything my pleasure we will contact you in about a week after we finish all the interviews thank you for coming in today it was nice talking with you thank you Linda it was nice to meet you too I look forward to hearing from you have a great day Alex goodbye goodbye I hope you like this conversation if you'd like to keep improving your English with real world conversation practice please like this video And subscribe to the channel if there's anyone you can think of that would benefit from our content please share thank you for your support take care
