congratulations on an absolutely fantastic victory i mean i'm sure it's all still processing a little bit but what's what's the emotion for you like that after a win like that what what's the emotion like for you right now after a big victory like that emotion yeah it's a great feeling but uh dominic was the great opponent dominic was a great opponent he's a nice nice nice guy like a person because uh after the fight and before the fight i feel i felt from him uh just nothing no hate no just pure fighting and that's all about this and that's i like that i like can you talk about the way you felt coming in here i mean already in a main event people talking about titles maybe i mean were there nerves was there a different feel tonight yeah a little bit nervous but for me it's not um [Music] these uh title shots and and uh and uh and the fighting and matchmaking for me is not so uh like uh not so important for me is important the journey the enjoy the tough opponents uh enjoy the share the cage with uh with the heart opponents and that's what about i that's why i like it and and this fight was was great yeah and but i enjoyed that and i enjoyed that i enjoyed the dominic's fight iq yeah that that was the nice i have new new uh new new skills new new things what i need to to learn what how when i need to work for it yeah i know one of your goals was not to get hit very much uh you did take a few shots it was a very exciting battle yeah yeah yeah but but did you see my uh blacks my blocks my defend did that in first fight that wasn't yeah but that was the that was okay there is not so much defend in this fight but uh that was all my that was my half year work so please well i just wondered if you if you thought that you you executed well or if you felt like like you said there's always things you can work on and get better right so did you feel like that was amazing or did you think i i've still got to fix some things i still had a gun to fix some things was there a point in time where you realized it seemed like you gained confidence as time was going on did you realize that his power wasn't going to be enough to stop you and that you could go career in the fight because i haven't this fight under control all the time because the dominic surprised me many times and that's for the man like me it's not it's not good because i like to to to to be to be the best in these things yeah to be the best and when you mean something is the or somebody is the best and that was not that was not uh best really yeah so you in answer to john's question before you said you have to fix some things and now you're saying this wasn't the best was it just the fact that you let yourself get countered a couple times or were there any other specific things that you look at that you say you need to be better at something some specific things yeah can you point out anything other than just preventing the counters that you think you need to get better at yeah uh i need to be because there was some [Music] so many chances to to end this fight earlier than it was so uh i don't want to be in the cage so long why why to to be so long and do this blood would you want to listen that was my other question with a finish like this with this knockout in such a high-profile fight yep now that las vegas is opening up and we're getting arenas back in the u.s maybe your next fight will be here in an arena in the us something that you have never experienced in your career are you excited to get like a las vegas fight in a full arena for the first time side estate invest inside me jiri what could be your plan i mean i know you only have two fights in the ufc but we had michonne chandler fighting just after a fight for the title what could be your plans if you're not thinking in jan at the moment what what opponent would you like to fight when you just beat two former uh contenders who you want to fight if not jan or are you if not if you if not the champion are you willing to wait for black copics to to to fight yes yes or i need to time now a little bit a little bit to to to rest to re not yet the rest to to enjoy the to be the ufc fighter to be in this uh the height highest leak and to to to use this uh skill from this uh fight with dominic to my training yeah to to to upgrade these mistakes and that's take time that will take Some people also should understand how smart Jiri is. He only picked up really learning English about a year ago and speaks really well. Same thing with Khamzat. Really only picked up English about a year ago and speaks ok in it. Or even Khabib. Khabib (probably got help speaking English from his English teacher sister) knows around 4-5 languages. These guys are beasts in the cage, but to pick up such a hard language like English well into adulthood and quickly takes some smarts.
