- So here we go. How far can she get on this
brutal finals course tonight? - Well, she's rocking the red,
white, and blue outfit once again--it worked for her
in qualifying. - She is a performer. - Oh, yes,
she is a performer, Matt. It's showtime for Jessie Graff. - Jessie, 5'8", 130. Keep in mind, though,
this trapeze-- the switch to the pendulum
has been increased by a foot. But no problem. Remember,
she does stunts on "Supergirl" and other top TV shows. And a beautiful dismount!
- Ooh, sweet as gold with the roll! - Now the Escalator, which is
playing much tougher tonight. - Well, as a stunt girl,
you know she can make the move and adjustment if she needs to.
- Wow! - And smiling all the way. - Yes!
- Yeah! - She loves the outfit. She says she loves
being described as feminine. And for her,
feminine is strong, athletic, and confident. - Uh-oh, what? Backwards? Ooh, she is a beast! This is new.
- Using good control, good visualization, really kipping that body.
- Okay, and this is where her pole-vaulting
background really helps. - She was a top pole-vaulter
at the University of Nebraska, came close to qualifying
for the Olympics. - Oh, look at that--
taking that left ring all the way up to the top
so she can get a longer reach. That is smart. Great control here. That's what's amazing
with Jessie Graff. It's not just the power.
It's the controlled power. And she's through! - Good job, Jessie! - And you see her stretching
out her hands and wrists. This course takes a toll.
She's trying to keep the blood flowing
so she'll have grip later. all: Jessie! Jessie!
- And the crowd right there with her
as she gets on the I-Beam. "American Ninja Warrior",
one of the few sports where men and women compete
on the same course. And Jessie isn't just one
of the best female athletes. She's one of the best
athletes period. She can go toe-to-toe
with the guys. This ascent, though--
real challenge here, but she looks locked in. - You see her just pull up
here. You see her fighting
for everything. She's got that confidence. And look at her grinning
ear to ear. - Keep it up!
You got it! - Lock those hands in as
it goes down to an inch here. - Mmm, slide it.
Slide it into an inch. You can--
look at that. Look at her strength.
- And look at the long reach! Wow!
- On full display! On full display! - She dominated
the I-Beam Cross. - You got this!
No problem! - In qualifying, made history
as the first woman to make it up
the 14 1/2-foot wall. Looking to do it again. all: Beat that wall!
Beat that wall! Beat that wall! - Oh, my goodness.
That was crazy! I like it! That could've been 16 feet, and she would've gotten it. - Whoo!
Yes! - But now the back half
of the course. Only a few women
have ever reached this point. Jessie made it
to the back half last year before falling on
the ninth obstacle. This is an upper-body
gauntlet that starts here
on the Salmon Ladder. - This back half, though, really does play to
Jessie Graff's strength here. Everything is in line here
for that upper-body strength. And oh, there it is.
- And a good leap. A little cross grip there,
good kipping, good body control.
- Great control here. - She's trained all her life
for this. - One more!
One more! - And Jessie Graff
has reached the Wedge! Nobody has made it
through this obstacle. Now let's see
how she controls this bar. This pole-vaulter--
such good body control. - You can't put a stuntwoman
like Jessie Graff on a movie set
and can't tell me she's not gonna be the star.
- The control here... - She is the star like the star
on her shorts. - Is so amazing. It's this dismount
that's been problematic. She's going
for the dismount here. - Oh!
- Oh! Oh ho ho! - Jessie Graff does it again! - Yes! - The first
to get past the Wedge. She's now gone farther
than any athlete tonight. She's guaranteed
a spot in Vegas, but she's gonna try to finish. Up next, the Helix Hang. - We had this bad boy
in Orlando last year, and only four athletes
could get through it. - She'll have to work her way
across those 16 rods, and they'll rotate
as she climbs across. - And this just kills
your forearms. - But what is she doing? What letter
of the alphabet, Akbar? - Oh, boy, she's keeping
her Ls. Matt, those might
not even be Ls. - Those are Vs!
- Oh! Uh-oh, she's hanging into
Is now. Don't get into the Is. - No quit in this woman. - Keep 'em up high.
Keep 'em up high. - And the crowd erupting, so impressed
with what they're seeing. She's using her entire body
for the reach. - She's got this.
I believe in Jessie Graff. Come on, Jessie!
- You know what? She's looking
for a dismount here, I think. - She is absolutely gassed, but she won't go
without a fight. Come on, Jessie! - No!
- No! - Tell me it ain't so! - What a run! Jessie Graff
does have limits after all. But I got to say,
she blew through all of them. Akbar, one of the great runs
we've seen.
They should allow them to powder their hands to combat sweat and oils that might build up.
This just made me very nostalgic for Takshi's Castle, gonna watch a lot of that again xD
She made it look so damn easy.
Love the athleticism, hate the format.
Jesus christ. She has got some insane endurance and strength.
I love this show, but when everyone starts yelling BEAT THAT WALL, BEAT THAT WALL, BEAT THAT WALL every run I can't stop laughing.
I had to mute this. I can not stand the fake cheesy commentary.

I saw a post of her yesterday fucking killing the red carpet. I don't even know what she does or what show she's in or whatever but she's fucking incredible.
