Jesse’s Best Race Yet / Racing Near the Front at Deep South Speedway

[Music] all right y'all i'm jonathan joyner this is not the front we are at deep south speedway locksley alabama y'all gonna unload that today we got jesse's car the hdf one car weekly crate race maybe a little better than we were the last time we were here all right he is headed to uh tech we'll get over here take a look at the track it's been i think about a month since we've been here about our i think about our fourth trip over here this year i've run here joseph's running here now this will be jesse's second race here this year so uh last time we were here was with jesse's car he finished six that's his best finish yet in the late model uh but we had some issues car wasn't running right we changed carburetor we changed valve springs changed spark plugs uh what else would change change the oil but uh anyway and did a little bit with setup so hoping he'll be a little bit better here tonight anyway there's the track deep south speedway i got the bulldozer on it and the grader wow [Music] so how we feeling other than hot feeling spunky spunky oh yeah yeah top three car you're leaning up against the top three finisher oh tell me how do you feel huh oh i feel special leaning on a top three finishing car capable no prefer my best finish yet that'd be a good goal i think best finish of six so we're looking for our first top five first top five verbally a top three to do better what the car is doing what you know what i mean be ready to nail a laptop honestly in hot laps i'm just really hoping to see if the car is going to run it'll run it'll run on top of that laps just driving don't do the same thing every time if it ain't working all right move around find the line you know what i mean try to get comfy somewhere or another you know just just try to make high or something what is that let me get back to the center of the corner yes it's coughing yeah probably the flows are too how did you ever look at the fuel pressure it's up there about seven floats are gonna be high that's gonna be our issue we'll get you you looked a lot better [Music] all right so we adjusted the floats how they fixing the nose where it got in the dirt but uh clothes were a little high adjusted those down hopefully that'll help her to run right there when he picks up the throttle and we'll be qualifying here shortly and uh if that that'll lock us into the main event so i need to get a good i think there's 14 of them here hopefully we'll uh qualify towards the front [Music] look this is how much faith i have in you and her car we're putting the good tires on even though it didn't run in hot laps it's gonna run right here driver's gonna do what it needs to do they're gonna be good let it down no don't let us down [Music] uh right here we go carburetor should be a second i mean he looked good it just that tracked her up one turned one bad but uh hey that's an asphalt racer stephen i think nasty anyway y'all asphalt racer stephen nasty i think y'all might have heard him buddy we did we have qualifying all right well tell jesse that so he won't be so down on him things to dang himself anyway uh so he'll probably be back here somewhere with us bo the two cars on pole uh we'll be starting to feature [Music] you're gonna get some experience racing on a rough track tonight that's what you're going to get have fun with it enjoy it no you're eight out of 12. you're good you're good that makes sense minimize the error from the yeah the bounce there you go but uh but other than that motor does it seem better and last time we were here now that we got the carburetor a little better all right we are going to get a hot lap here during intermission so we're going to make a shock adjustment that'll maybe hopefully help us through the holes and go see what she'll do okay go to front it's been a good little while here they worked on the track ran a pure stock feature and now we're gonna hot lap tracks a little better but i think it's beating back out we'll see hot lap right here that feature coming up so [Music] hey somebody back him in oh there's troy well jesse you finally decided to drive the race car didn't you it looked good look look a lot better they were in your way they run carburetor good yeah everything good all right well we expect top five you you drove the race car like just do what you did yeah throttle up let off dude it is a washboard i kind of let off get her going straight go down there hit the brakes a little bit just just remember what you did yeah do that in the feature we expect a top five right here coming up [Music] all right y'all we'll be having a feature coming up tracks probably gonna be rough but i think our car was better our driver was better we're gonna knock the mud off and uh go race it see what came off the ground i need to hold front end don't let me know if i look like i tried to full send it to get bow on the top just don't wreck it [Music] that's good no i'm rolling around there i'm racing dude bobblehead i'm more slapped ahead i'm more out all right i was driving and it's just like i see everybody over here like just go and i'm like i look up how about where the hell is everybody at there's a boat another car top five first top five how's it feel tiring on a track like that i'm i'm i'm really proud of that arkham we got this thing everything right [Music] there you
