I think this song has a David Bowie feel to it. It could be Clements voice, but the structure of too is very reminiscent of Bowie.

I hated this song when I saw the movie - it just seemed so out of place and such a sudden style change.
Then someone here on Reddit explained that it was supposed to be that way, that the monster world was meant to make you feel uncomfortable and out of place.
And then someone else pointed out it was Jemaine Clement and now when I hear it all I can think about is Fart.

I used to hate this song so much. However, after being forced to listen to it 8,673,902 times by my daughters, I absolutely love it!! So catchy!
