But the people of petra weren't arabs and didn't speak arabic they spoke aramic and nabatean why write an arabic quran?. And if islam and muhammed originated from petra why would they change the religion's origin 600 km south in the middle of nowhere and credit it to another civilization ?

The history of Islam is definitely not as the Muslim sources tells us, and he does propose a nice theory, but i don't really buy it.
The facts are interesting but nothing that's not in Tom Holland's In The Shadow of the Sword.
He's just preaching Christianity.
