security work working in a plant seven days a week 12 hours a day and it just was it was so much anything I would get home I would be so tired I worked days and nights and the hardest part was some time and I get off at 6 o'clock in the morning he would be gone already I would miss seeing him just being able to touch him and put my hands on him you know there were times where the lights were out there were times where the water was enough it was times where we just didn't know where the next meal was gonna come from my mom showed me so many things from early on in my life that I didn't understand until I got ordered but the work that take the sacrifice her work and two jobs nineteen years later understanding that you know she had to make these sacrifices from me and she gave up her whole life to make sure that I had won [Music] my model took my children being a single parent was like no matter what you do be the best and whatever it is that you do so you don't have no regrets later on on the road my brother Joe Royle Angie money reasons why I started playing football was because of him because his love for it and you know how he took about you know just trying to trying to change everything for the family so that was my main reason on playing sports and that was always my dream hey my mom doesn't have to work those longer hours anymore you know she can you know actually be home raised my brother you know I remember watching him in high school play you know I remember watching me in college play and we played arena ball for a little while as well I had the opportunity to go to Tampa Bay Buccaneers for trial didn't work out for me side to side you know Irina ball I got a call from my brother you say man I need you like I just feel like I'm throwing it away I need somebody here to help I left Utah came home never looked back told them from day one only thing I need you to focus on football I may have an arrest that's what we did as the 8th grade a job as you played varsity football and as a my phone is going crazy something I'm thinking something that's going on something is wrong however everybody was just fun of me and your brother just scored five touchdowns in a game yeah my heat of rare rare did okay he's he own a weight you know he the great one [Applause] LSU man it was just a few days before camp start breaks his plate [Applause] that following season I mean II went in went in there for the whole bunch of balls almost read mm yours during you here caught over ten touchdowns over a thousand yards 80-plus catches which is insane January's coming up declare for the draft I think has every childhood dream that anybody that played football for Shores to go in the first round as a kid I sacrifice 3 13 12 13 years old I'll leave out the house and run up and down the levee up and down left up and down the left I just always believed that you know the cream rises to the top we felt as if he was the best receiver in that the entire draft I'm a mother after night I didn't go to the draft I stayed home with my family and my agent I'm not going anywhere from 16 to 32 31 picked 32 nothing I remember going back to my room that night and just crying I don't know like that go is that for me next morning he got up and we went in it just got it that hard before 33:34 my father's shoes they were in the forties I were in the fifties and you know I really feeling embarrassed because my family is here for the second day in a row and it doesn't seem like you know I'm gonna be drafted anywhere I started crying because I seen him cry about five ten minutes later getting a call from Florida and it was mine no we're honored to let you know that you know we're gonna select you at the 63rd people I mean it was just a moment that we shared that we cried on each other's shoulders that I felt like my brother got drafted I felt I got drafted as well because we know life was about to change not only for us but for our family as a whole we was gonna be able to expose some of the things that we never saw when we was kids to have opportunity yeah take care of my mom you know I have a daughter now so you know take care of my family as well my brother my aunts to change life for my family it's the reason why we all do what we do [Music] play four years of my contract and put myself in position to take care of my family for the rest of my life [Music] [Music] you know the team decides to exercise you know the first I said I'm considering not playing French I said is not a good deal for me I thought in my case I played for years you know then you get another year basically of not signing me to a long-term deal so in that year anything can happen you know you look at guys like Ryan shazier who that may not have an opportunity to play again he's fighting about him to just walk it [Music] I'm at the point where you know taking care of my family and it's the most important my body on the line for three years I sacrifice my time I've sacrificed my life not to make sure that I have this opportunity [Music] installed in them [Music] nothing babies beat the odds single prayer at home small country town not many resources in the hotel then you go to college to say that you're undersized that you're slow you guys you're producing an SCC get drafted it's dominated the game of football [Music] you

Yeah, after OBJ was drafted in the first round while Landry wasn't, he flew to Landry's house to sit and wait with him.
