we got our Japan visa for 5 years multiple entry and stay up to 3 months how cool is that we will tell you all about how we got our Japan visa and how you can get it too hi guys welcome back to our Channel rolling feed Tales let's get started first thing first let's talk about what documents are needed the first document that you require is going to be your passport and passport has to be valid for at least 6 months and it should have two blank pages so if you do not have these go and apply for renewal of your passport and in case if you have old passport you need to attach that as well also you would need photocopy of the front and back of the passport next you are going to require two passport size photograph on a white background dimension of which is going to be 2 in x 2 in third duy filled visa application form and this form you can download it from the VFS site and I have given the link in description box as well download it fill it and then keep a copy of this next is cover letter the most important document of all in the cover letter what you're going to mention is all about your travel idy the detailed one day wise be as detailed as possible because this is the letter that is going to be read by the embassy guys and they are going to make a decision on it if you need the cover letter format that we use to get our Japan Visa then check out the description because I have given a link to it in the description box next set of document is going to be your return flight ticket and this you can book a dummy ticket as well but let's say if you're Any Which Way planning to go to Japan then I would recommend that you get a refundable flight ticket this next one is going to be your hotel accommodation which is going to be either your like booking.com or Airbnb make sure that uh it is also refundable just in case let's say if you do not get Visa which is very less likely so the next set of documents are going to be Financial document which will include your last six months bank statement try to give those bank statement that has has a salary Credit in it the second one is going to be your last 3 years it return acknowledgement you can download this from your income tax portal by logging in these are the mandatory documents but you can also attach some additional documents which are optional in nature but it will definitely improve your application status so the first one if you're working then do include your employment come leave certificate and uh in general we call it nooc nooc certificate uh that you can get from your HR second one is form 16 in some cases they might ask for this because in my case they did not but in my wife's case KB's case they asked for they called and they asked for form 16 so it's better to if you have form 16 attach it any which way the third document is travel insurance even though it is not mandatory but we would recommend that you have one while you are traveling to Japan or any other country so if you have that it actually brings out the seriousness of your travel to let's say Japan or any Embassy that you are applying to once you have all these documents ready go to VFS site the link of which I have already given in the description box go there create an account and then pick your slot for appointment now VFS is an agency that acts as a mediator between us and Japan Embassy in this case they collect all the documents and send it to Japan Embassy to process it and once it is processed they also get the passport back which is available for us to collect on the day of appointment take all your documents and visit the VFS Center where you have booked your appointment now here what you're going to do is submit your documents along with that you will have to pay visa fee now Japan visa fee is only rupees 500 yes how cool is that that for rupes 500 you get 5 years tourist visa that's like 100 rupees per year right it is pretty cheap so you have to uh pay that and along with that you have to also pay VFS agency fee which is 650 rupees in this case higher than the Visa cost but this is what it is uh important tip here is that you need to carry cash because at vfa centers they might not accept UPI or uh credit card or any other card as well right now once the embassy has received the application they'll work on this and if they have additional doubts what they are also going to do is they are going to call you for a small uh I would say a visa interview now in my case U I got I received a call from Embassy where they ask about like what is my purpose of travel what is the duration of the travel who I am going with and all of those stuff uh so I clearly answered about all of these things they also wanted to know about the itary how does it look like Etc so be sure that when you are submitting the application you know the itry how you are going to follow day by day in my case it was like 5 days in Tokyo 3 days in Kyoto Etc so I explained everything to them uh they also inquired about my spouse that if she's traveling what is she doing right now where is she working and all of those things so once they have verified and and uh they have asked all of these questions what uh in our case what happened that in next 2 days we received status update that your Visa has been processed and you can come and collect um the passport now let's talk about some tips that will maximize your chances of getting Japan Visa the first one and I cannot stress enough is about the cover letter guys you need to make cover letter as descriptive as detailed possible because this is the main phase of your communicating to the Embassy right the second one go through your itary in detail because they might Grill you on like how are you planning to spend your time in Japan uh in general and let's say they they might also ask what is the daily cost that you are going to incur Etc so have that in mind and do not uh just sound like clueless person because then in that case they might have some suspicion and they might deny your Visa so have the clear ity in your mind ready when they call you to verify it the third one the bank statement as I said earlier have a seal and signature from the bank officials six months validity and try to submit that bank statement that has your salary uh inflow coming in also avoid depositing a big chunk into the bank statement just to Showcase that you have enough amount for Japan travel because that will be a kind of a red flag because you did not have enough balance till sometime back suddenly you have a lot of balance right so this is a red flag try to avoid that the last one if you all already have us or UK or s in Visa then it helps but this is not a mandatory requirement so in any case you should go ahead and apply even if you do not
