deposing Hunter Biden uh we're deposing Hunter Biden because he's a key witness in our investigation of President Joe Biden our committees have Unearthed substantial evidence of President Biden and his family's corruption the Biden created 20 shell companies most of which were created when Joe Ryden was vice president and for anyone who doesn't understand what a shell company is and I'm talking to the Associated Press here a shell company is a company with no assets or no known purpose we've determined that the bidens had 20 shell CS no known purpose the bidens and their Associates raked in over $30 million from China Russia Ukraine Kazakhstan Romania and Democrat donors 10 members of the Biden family including Joe Biden either participated or benefited from the family influence pedaling schemes what was the Biden family business that's been a big question of this whole investigation what was the business Biden Family Associates testified that Joe Biden was the brand President Biden has repeatedly lied to the American people that he never interacted with his son's Associates but when Joe Biden was vice president he spoke to his associate his son's Associates by speaker phone over 20 times he dined with foreign oligarchs and a barisma executive and had coffee with his son's Chinese associate all want he was vice president and since you all care so much about Russia we know that Vice President Biden spoke on the phone with Russian oligarch yolina Bina and dined with her as she was funing millions of dollars to his son one associate said this phone call was orchestrated by Hunter Biden and Vice President Biden told her to quote be good to my boy President Biden also lied to the American people that his family never made money from China Hunter Biden's work with the Chinese Communist Party linked Energy company CFC began when Joe Biden was vice president CFC even gave Hunter Biden a diamond during this time to entice him uh to work with the CCP link company the bidens received a $3 million payment as a thank you for work completed when Joe Biden was vice president shortly after Joe Biden left office we we've learned this in our interviews why what that first $3 million payment that we Unearthed in our very first bank memorandum our first of four bank memorandums that we have published what was that $3 million for and they said it was a thank you for all the great work that Vice President Biden did in the Biden in the Obama Biden Administration as vice president around the same time of this payment Joe Biden attended a CFC meeting where there were 10 10 CFC officials present including chairman ye who is tied to CCP intelligence then a few months later Hunter Biden threatened his CFC associate when he demanded payment by claiming his father was sitting next to him in the room that's the WhatsApp message that the two IRS whistleblowers shapley and Zigler produced to the Ways and Means Committee a WhatsApp message where Hunter Biden claimed his father was sitting beside him when he was shaking down or extorting money from the Chinese National shortly thereafter CFC wired 5 million to an entity controlled by Hunter Biden later that same day $400,000 was moved from the joint entities account to a business account of Hunter Biden a few weeks later Joe Biden received a $440,000 check from that transaction that's evident that Joe Biden received 4 ,000 directly from the Chinese Communist Party linked entity this is public corruption 101 the American people see the corruption but unfortunately many in the corporate media and Democrats seek to cover up for the biders why is that the American people aren't buying what the Democrats and corporate media are selling we will continue to follow the facts and hold the bidens accountable for their corruption and I'll be happy to answer a few questions if you want Mr chairman yesterday you put out a stake and you said this is not over you're going to continue to interview Witnesses at which point you know typically during an investigation the biggest person the biggest fish whatever is the the end of the investigation at which point is this investigation done when do you take it to committee to refer out the Articles to the floor and will you tell people when it's actually complete well obviously we've had a lot of interviews and depositions over the last six weeks uh but with each interview we learn more information uh we do we find uh more uh potential evidence that needs to be obtained more uh hints more accusations that need to be investigated so uh as long as we keep getting you information in we're going to continue to pursue I would I'm ready to to try to begin to close this investigation this has been a very difficult investigation uh this Administration has been very obstructive they haven't been Cooperative uh feel like we're having to to battle the Department of Justice and the FBI on a daily basis to get basic information uh many of our witnesses that we brought in would be what I would consider hostile Witnesses uh but at the end of the day I think with every interview we've learned new information and and the basis of what we've learned is that the bidens didn't have a legitimate business their business was selling access to Joe Biden the brand and what we've learned is is a little bit about the business model from three different Associates that said that uh Joe Biden communicated with the people right before the closing so he was the closure the closer of the of the influence pedaling scheme and that in in at least two cases one was CFC which was one that Hunter Biden was was leading one of the influen pedaling scenes that he was leading and one with uh Jim Biden which was the americore deal that Politico did a good job writing about uh both times uh in their scheme in their pitch to obtain money in their INF fing scheme they said Joe Biden was interested in an equity ownership State and that Joe Biden might even if the price is right be on the board of of these two entities so that's what we've learned through these depositions and interviews and I think it's been very valuable information chairman chairman you could say the bident suggesting that that includes president B but what evidence do you have directly linking President Biden Beyond a dinner a letter a cofy and some appearances on speaker phone he keep saying the Biden we're talking about President Biden specifically what evidence do you have that he profited off his son for bus we have two checks and I again I I don't uh cite Politico very often but they ran a good story that for some reason Politico didn't put on their morning link but uh it was about the americore help $200,000 payment Joe Biden received directly from an influence penic there's no question about it Joe Biden received two payments we found this through subpoenaed bank records two payments you forget through write this in your in your uh in your Outreach the first payment was $200,000 from America or health there's no question that money came directly from influence cutting we have traced the money and frankly it wasn't very hard to trace the second was the $40,000 payment I just referenced to my opening statement $40,000 that came directly from Hunter Biden the hunter Biden Shak down where he said his father is sitting beside him you're putting steps between so the check and presid the steps are called money Ling that's what the steps are call to the president of the United States he's the what you connect this to the president of the United States not his son not his family members it appears when you say the re the reason they didn't send the money directly to Joe Biden they sent it through the shell companies that's what this scheme's about that's why there are 170 suspicious activity reports from six different banks that that alerted the treasury Department that they feared their client Hunter Biden was money ler this is a very serious CRI the number of financial crimes that uh this family has been investigated for and and no resolution to any investigation every investigation was CAU up think about let me think about this the the Biden the bidens have been investigated by the FBI they've been investigated by three different us attorney officers they've been investigated by the IRS they've been investigated by the Securities and Exchange Commission the list goes on and on and on Mr but yet every time we were told what what shapley and Ziggler said they were told to stand down so there's two parts of this investigation there's the actual Biden crimes and then there's the cover up but Mr chairman what evidence do you have that either as vice president or as President Joe Biden used his political office in any way to benefit either hunter or James Biden's businessman we had evidence that Joe Biden met with the Chinese what specific actions did he take we had several people already testify that but what how did how was America or help how is this Chinese business helped by the fact that Jo so let me ask you a question you mentioned America or help does anyone in here question whether or not that was influence ped does anyone question that I think there's a lot of questions about it sir because there was no evidence that Joe Biden did anything he got $200,000 what did he that Jo that Jim bid said list he wasn't vice president at time you you can defend Joe Biden all you can defend Jo you you can be on his legal defense team Kevin Morris will probably pay your legal bills if you want you're not answering my question no I am answering your question you don't you you don't understand what we've said over and over and over Joe Biden took $200,000 from time that $200,000 check was was put through do what he was a private citizen at the time that $200,000 check went through was he not the the 400 the $40,000 the $200,000 check which you've cited twice now be a public official at the time do you have a problem that Joe Biden's lied about this do you have a problem that that America have evidence that he lied about I'm asking you what specific action did he take as a public official an elected public official that let those businesses if you have that evidence calm down calm down it's okay it's okay all the angry liberals that watch they'll be okay all right listen he took $3.5 million from the Russian olar there have been three sets of sanctions she has not been listed on any of those sanctions even though you know the the most important issue according to Joe Biden in in America right now is giving Ukraine another blank check uh there are issues with uh in Ukraine that we're investigating there issues with the the Russian oligarch where they they weren't you look at the money they got from China many of us believe that Joe Biden has a China First America last policy so when we issue the report when we have the public hearing uh many of these policy discussions will be debated one more question question chairman is there anything new that you expect is there anything new you expect to glean from today's deposition and then do you expect questioning to go beyond today of Hunter Biden we uh we have a lot of questions for Hunter Biden uh specifically revolving around the the plus suspicious activity reports you got uh specifically around what some of his associates have testified that Joe Biden communicated frequently with all of these Shady characters who are wiring the family money so uh we have a lot of questions for Hunter Biden based on financial crimes that he was being investigated for by the IRS criminal uh International uh crimes Division chapley and Ziggler so we're going to try to get all those questions in and let me close with this this investigation about public corruption but the American people do not want their public officials families to Pedal access to their leaders to the tune of tens of millions of dollars you may think that's okay but I can assure you the American people do not I've traveled from Connecticut to Arizona campaigning for members of Congress that are seeking reelection and and running for election and everywhere I go here the same thing thank you for trying to find out the truth thank you for trying to stop this cottage industry of influence ping that's what this investigation is all about the purpose of this investigation if you go back to the very first press conference was to get the truth to the American people because the American people didn't have the truth they didn't have the truth they they the media narrative when we started this investigation was the laptop was Russian disinformation the bidens had legitimate businesses Joe never talked to any of the people that send him money and none of this happened while he vice president all of that we've proven is false we've been very effective in getting the truth to the American people now my job as chairman of the oversight committee is to prevent influence pedaling from happening in the future and that's always been the purpose of this investigation to create legislation hopefully it'll be bipartisan that defines influence pedaling and stops it from happening we need to stop the menendez's and the bidens from continuing to enrich themselves in our public office
