IWI Tavor X95 Upgrades from Manticore Arms!

[Music] hey guys as always thanks for stopping by a couple things then we're gonna talk about this bad boy a lot of y'all have asked about gun gossip yep I'm totally aware I haven't posted in a few weeks I'm taking a summer break on an announcement on that one coming up in a few weeks all for the good got some changes coming but it's gonna be cool now before I talk about this one several people have asked about the revolutionary Patriot shirts I've been wearing recently y'all saw that 45 acp shirt that i had on the other night a lot of people asked its revolutionary Patriot they just did smokes you up there I said it I am excited about this project it's the Tavor x95 from iwi now y'all know that I love iwi the Jericho 941 F is my all-time favorite handgun and this one the X 95 it is working its way up for me in rifles and holy smokes I said it again I really do like this rifle but there's some inherent things in this one that a lot of folks want to change and that's where Manticore Arms has stepped in and I'm gonna be doing some upgrades on this one now it's a bullpup configuration I don't know how to explain to you how much I like this because it just fires so differently I was thinking yesterday how do I tell you guys how this feels when you fire it's just different than a regular ar-15 this one is totally different it feels different it fires different now there's gonna be a jack wagon down in the comments that says oh but you can't shoot at nine hundred yards because I'm going to sniper well no it's not designed for that this is not what that rifle what this rifles made to do but boy do I like it just the way it is I think it's really cool now Manticore Arms has kicked it up a huge notch I want to say this I'm friends with the manticore Arms team I really like them I got to spend some time with him at the NRA got to really interact with him I did a live show with them and I learned more about the company I spent some time on the phone I'm not I don't work for them they did send me these as a courtesy I didn't pay for these parts but boy do I like them great reputation american-made lifetime warranty now what I'm gonna be doing the upgrade here on is the four in and the top rail and the butt pad now there's some situations here with the Tavor x95 that a lot of people want to change one the barrel is not free-floating there's a collar that's about right here that latches around the bear we're gonna eliminate that and then also as far as putting some attachments onto this forearm there's not a really easy way to do it there are ways to do it but we're gonna kick this up to the notch where it's going to be easy-peasy to get some stuff on here and it's gonna be longer the top rail is going to be changing now the cool thing about the top rail the way it comes out of the box and I think this is one of the coolest thing about the about the Tavor is these iron sights and they are really really cool they're already in the top rail they're in there they're child in and 100 yards right out of the box well - you're coming oh my I'm gonna be eliminating things but I do think the upgrade is gonna be worth it again made in America they do all their own designing and engineering in-house this is the forearm gonna be forearm that I'm gonna be putting up here or for grip we can call it and it's got em lock all the way around it and it's 2 inches longer and I'm eliminating all of this plastic that's up here so I'm gonna be putting on some made-in-america metal onto the x95 and then also the new top rail the bear will be free-floating as well and then I'm gonna be putting on a butt pad now several people have already asked Johnny what about those iron sights that are already in this rail well this is pretty cool I've been holding on to this one for about six months these are Troy 45-degree backup iron sights they're 45 and they're also flat dark earth I think they're gonna look cool with the rest of the flat dork that's already on here everything that I need for this install came with the kit from Manticore arms and also i've been a little intimidated about this I told y'all that a couple weeks ago I found a video over on manticores website that walks me through step by step not that big of a deal I mean I watched what Kristin did with the project and she did it really quickly super easy so I'll watch the video I'm gonna go watch it again and follow along as I do it but it just takes a Phillips head and then a couple of hex keys that come with it so everything that I need is already here now in case you've been living under a rock you can't really show stuff on YouTube anymore about gun manufacturing or putting upgrades on firearms or building so I'm not going to show that at all and that's fine for me I'm gonna get over to the bench right now in the words of Marvin Gaye let's get it on two hours later and just like that the rifle is complete I had a fantastic afternoon working on this took me a couple hours I don't know me I like to take my time I'll watch a lot of videos I'll read a little bit plus I just really liked study it when you get things apart but I really didn't take all that much apart it went on perfectly with tools that I have here just a couple screwdrivers and then also Manticore sent over some hex keys that came with some of these parts and I got a couple surprises that I'll share with you in just a moment the cantilever for him looks fantastic I didn't mention before it's got QD attachment points on here it's got em lock on the bottom three rows on each side and it really really looks good I think it's gonna look good suppressed now that's one of the people's complaints with the x95 is when you put a suppressor on there with the stock or the OEM handguard or foreign grip it looks kind of goofy because there's a big section of really skinny barrel in there well that eliminates that I know that's aesthetic but it's gonna look good suppressed which I'm gonna do hopefully soon the rail went on perfectly everything installed really really well I also installed this butt pad I didn't mention this earlier that eliminates one inch of length of pull without changing the overall length of the rifle so there's no NFA issues in there it also got a little bit of plastic up there and added in some more metal without adding a lot of weight that's one of the things that Manticore really has done here is they got a lot of the polymer out of the x95 and got in here some american-made aluminum or steel there's different parts in here and they all feel fantastic couple surprises one of the things you'll know is the Tavor is ambidextrous you can send up to shoot right-handed or left-handed with a conversion kit it ejects this way normally when you're shooting right-handed but it's already cut out here to be able to eject to the left so there's a gas port cover here but a lot of folks complain that it does seat gas and when it's in the right hand configuration that's right up against your body well Manticore I didn't know this they sent me over a new gas port a juk ejection gasket and cover so all of this came right out I'll follow the directions on youtube this new one went in there there's a big gasket in there there's a really small Manticore logo in there it looks really good and a QD attachment so that was another big upgrade and here's upgrade number four coming up it's called the luma what's called I got my notes right here it's called the luma safetea-lu ma and it's ambidextrous I didn't know this that the old way it was not a Medeco she'd had to do a conversion to grab one part and put it over on the other side well now I got the plastic safeties out of there and now got new ones in here that are coded I think aluminum in here but they went on really really well they're a little bit bigger a little bit fatter so I'll turn it upside down there's one on each side now the Troy battle sites went on their great somebody on there is gonna tell me like they do want to read it all the time hey you got them on backwards I think I got them on there right I kind of got it dialed in here where it feels really good and then I put on a dagger defense red and green dot I took off the little spacer on here so I put it all the way down low to the rail I'm not sure about that I'll get it to the range and we'll see there's a few more things about the science of what this cantilever forum does some things with the bore axis and that kind of stuff not going to get into all that you can find that all over on their website a couple more things I really want to share with you some people may say hey Johnny you didn't need all the in lock the OEM rail does have the OEM for grip does have some rails in there yeah you can get these covers off and there are picatinny rails underneath here but they are polymer so I eliminated all that as well and this thing is just a big chunk of plastic I like it it's kind of cool it feels good but that feels and looks even better so overall the entire project went perfectly all thanks to Manticore arms and iron and a couple other things from Troy and from dagger defense but boy Manticore arms really came through all the parts were fantastic the directions went well and everything just locked in there perfectly big thumbs up for me it is pouring the rain outside yeah we say that nap Alachua it's pouring the rain or I would get out to the range this evening but it'd be as nasty outside I think I saw no afloat by but holy smokes I like
