IT'S TIME TO POSSESS THE LAND

you have your Bibles this morning please turn with me to the Old Testament book of Joshua Joshua chapter 1 thank you singers and musicians my lord what a song I see a crimson stream of blood the first word of the first verse reading just a little bit more text than normal Joshua chapter 1 beginning in verse number 1 now after the death of Moses the servant of the Lord it came to pass that the Lord spoken to Joshua the son of nun Moses is Minister saying Moses my servant is dead now therefore arise go over this Jordan you and all this people into the land which I do give to them even to the children of Israel every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon that have I given unto you as I said unto Moses from the wilderness and this Lebanon even to the great river the river Euphrates all the land of the hittite and into the Great Sea toward the going down of the Sun shall be your coast there shall not any man be able to stand before you all the days of your life as I was with Moses so I will be with you I will not fail you nor forsake you be strong and of a good courage run to this people shall you divide for an inheritance the land which I swore and to their fathers to give them only be thou strong and very courageous that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses my servant commanded you turn not from it to the right hand or to the left that you may prosper whether so ever you go this book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth but you shall meditate therein day and night that you may observe to do according to all that is written therein for then you shall make your way prosperous and then you shall have good success verse number nine have not I commanded you be strong and of a good courage be not afraid now there be thou dismayed for the Lord your God is with you wheresoever you go and I want to use for a subject ministering just for a few moments today it's time to possess the land glory to God Church some of you been in a wilderness too long the Lord's telling you is time to possess the land and he's telling this church is time to possess the land glory to God it's time to possess the land let's pray Heavenly Father we come before you in the name of Jesus we thank you for your presence that we have felt in this place today Lord we thank you that that blood is still flowing that crimson stream is still flowing at this present time we ask that you would anoint us for we cannot do without the anointing of the Holy Spirit and we ask it and the mighty name of Jesus asking that you would ever increase as we would ever decrease we ask it in the mighty name of Jesus and everyone said and everyone said amen in amen the children of Israel were staring at the Jordan River on the other side of the Jordan River lies the promised land Moses the one who had led them through this 40 year journey from to the Jordan has now passed away Moses was the great lawgiver he was a type of the law and as many of you know law can never inherit the promises of God law can only law can never inherit the promises of God every one of us has broken the law every last one of us but thank God we serve one who has never broken that long who kept it in totality who fulfilled the entirety of the law and as they say I'm going to say at the moment that you on our place our faith in Jesus Christ who he is and what he has done he takes us from a law breaker into a law keeper glory to God Moses passed away God had told Moses that he would not see and experience the promised land but he would bring him up to a mountain and he would have them to overlook and see what God has given his people now what would cause Moses to not be able to go into the Promised Land well we can go back to while the children of Israel wandered in that wilderness do you remember when God had told Moses when he said not mentioned it last night if you were here if you see this rock smite the rock with your rod and water will come gushing forth and there is every evidence that through that journey from that time until they entered that rocks follow them now you think about the miracle that rock was a type of Christ and it literally followed them from that moment on and yet when they came to a place where there was no more water God had instructed Moses to speak to the rock and when he spoke the water would come but Hebrew so angry Moses did at the people of God that in his anger he took his rod and smoked that rock one more time even the water did come out he disobeyed God now there was a grievous sin attached to this and it was this when Moses struck the rock for the first time he was saying in essence and it was a shadow of what Christ would do at Calvary's cross but when he smote it again in essence he was saying the first time was insufficient God only had to do it one time Jesus only had to lay down his life one time but I love it when Paul would say he died once and for all he died once and for all as I like to say it was one and done never happened to go back again a second time it was one and done for Tom had boy turn 'ti glory to God boy I don't think you're getting this it was one time and done one and God wanted God one and done you know I remember when I was in high school to give you just a brief little sidetrack to chase this rabbit for a moment my high school basketball coach would tell us all the time when we were on the defensive side I love the game of basketball that's what I played he would say when your own defense and you're guarding your basket the opponent only gets one shot and that's it if they get another shot you're running 5 and 60s what is the 5 and 65 down in backs in 60 seconds on a 94 foot court that's tough so every one of us when that ball would go up we'd box out anybody we could find and we would do our best to grab that rebound down and say it was one and done when Jesus with the Calvary's cross he told the devil devil it is one time and it's done he don't get another shot I am I'm going to pay the price what st. Paul wanted done one and done one and done more I love that devil it was one and done Jesus did not have to go back to the cross at any other time he did it one time and it was enough for that precious blood that flowed then is still flowing now and is still enough power in that shed blood to save a sinner and to break the bondages of sin glory to God but wish you were here this morning I wish you can get this it was one in God no more no more no more and yet he smoked that rock a second time saying and declaring that the first one was insufficient and therefore because of that because of the fact that he was a type of the law he would never see the promised land in regards to experience but God would tell Joshua or tell Moses to anoint a young man by the name of Joshua Joshua was a type of Christ as Moses was a type of the law Joshua was a type of grace in fact his very name Joshua is the Hebrew derivative for Jesus come on now Jesus both means they'll save their people from their sins and from the enemy Joshua would be anointed by God to lead his people into the Promised Land and here they were on the banks of the Jordan River now I want you to see this it was the same Jordan River it was Jesus was baptized and began his earthly ministry and it was the same Jordan River where Joshua would begin his ministry both parallel one another and both were going to lead their people through the crossing of the Jordan River and into the promised land and here is Joshua and the Bible says that God would speak to Joshua how we would only speculate because the Bible does not say but I believe he would speak to the heart of Joshua and say Moses my servant is dead but I love the statement that the Lord would give to Joshua in the second verse he would tell Joshua arise get up come on the days of mourning are over get up there are no pity parties with God you may be down but God's going to say get up for us arise arise get up now what what a statement samuel was mourning over Saul and God told Samuel what are you doing mourning over Saul seeing I have rejected him get up get up get up fill your horn with oil and go God only has one direction go forward there is no retreating with God there's no stand back with God it's get up we've been mourning too long happy days are here again happy days are here again [Applause] why are you mourning get up all right and he would say you take these people every last one of them not leaving any behind every woman every man every boy every girl as they all came out of Egypt now we know an entire generation had to die but he was saying every one of them cross over this Jordan and you're going to enter into the Promised Land not here I want to get this into your spirit here I want to say it one more time there there's no time for mourning God's up to something church he's up to something powerful he's up to something special he's up to something good and if you more you'll miss out so I'm here to tell you don't sit back Oh what it used to be oh I remember what it used to be like quit looking at the past mmm I remember what it used to be like quit looking at the past get up go forward get up arise and move forward he's telling us now arise get up quit mourning the days of miracles are not over they're just beginning they're just the beginning we're just at the very beginning and I got news for the devil I'm going to repeat this in a just a moment we are not at the end of our book mmm we are not at the end of our book but our end will be greater than our beginning I feel that our ending will be greater than our beginning we're just in the middle we're just still passing through and he's telling us get up get up get up why because church we are about ready that Jordan River may be in front and we are about ready to cross over that Jordan and in read to our promised land getting close I can see it it's like they're in front of me it's right there in front of us I can see it and what he did back then he can do greater right now what he did back then it will be greater because God always saves his best for the last glory to God he said arise take all the people don't leave one on behind and cross over this Jordan to the land that I will give you you see every one of us has a land that God wants to give us every single one of us has something that God has in store but I want to take it and make it personal for this church God has a land that he has promised us and it's not just a remote section of the planet hmm he hasn't promised us just Louisiana he hasn't promised us the United States he hasn't just promised us North America he hasn't promised us just a little bit here and a little bit there but the land that he has promised us encompasses every aspect of this planet from the north to the south to the east to the west Eddie's telling us get ready just get up I'm about ready to open it up wide but then he tells Joshua this is where I'm gonna try to I don't know how far more get with this because it's studying preparing this thing has just been rolling all over me he said Joshua as you cross over and you enter into the Promised Land he said every place that the sole of your foot shall tread up home for my lord I feel this every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon he's given the boundaries he's laid it all out he's given us the boundary he's laid it all out all we've got to do is take up one foot and put it down and he said every place that the sole of your foot shall touch I will give it unto you but here's the first little point to this it is not God's will for one small foot breadth to rest in the hands of its former owner you see in this promised land there were jetty sites there were highlights there were termites there were giants there all sorts of individuals and tribes there but God said it does not matter about who has put their roots down that leg doesn't belong to them no girl My Lord that land doesn't belong to the hobbits it doesn't belong to the judges sites he doesn't belong to the termites it doesn't belong to the Giants that land belongs to you that man belongs to my people it's not God's will for one part and parcel of your life to remain in the hands of the enemy but he wants every one of his children to say I am more then an overcomer I am more than a conquerer in Christ Jesus now don't expect Satan to back up and to say you know what he's coming I might as well just pack up and leave because at the moment of you well let me say this hearing the promise is one thing receiving that promise and taking a hold of that promise it's something else altogether because when you begin to say Lord I claim this whatever it may be that place in my life that has been dominated by Satan he has had it too long and I'm claiming it right now that every place in my life that I believe in you for every place then I'll put the soles of my foot I know that I am going to be free and don't expect Satan though like whenever they went here that that spoke of war and there is going to be a war but it's a fight that you can fight it's a fight let me change that it's already been fought and won he said fight the good fight of the faith and when you fight that good fight and if you keep your eyes on Christ you can't lose you can't lose you can't lose but the requirement for possessing the land you see there's a caveat to this God told them you can have the land but there is a small caveat what is it you got to take your foot and put it on that land you see I want you to think about this put it up the the third verse back on the screen would you take a look at this he said every place the soles of your foot shall tread upon you know what that word tread means subdued subdued trample do you get this because every time you take that foot and you put it down you're saying my god is able when you take that foot up and you put it down you say it double you're a liar you're a liar you're a liar you've lost already you have no authority over me God is in control God is in control every place that the sole that means this every time that a new network comes open every time a new station comes available and we call we work out details and in just a few days from whenever that happens I guess 30 days 60 days depending on whatever happens when someone turns on that channel expecting to see what they're used to seeing they're going to have a rude awakening because instead of seeing their sports on that channel instead of seeing their favorite gossip show on that channel instead of seeing their favorites then their favorite program on that channel they're going to flick over and they all see chucks and God has told us he said this ministry every place that the sole of your foot shall touch even though we may not be there physically but when the moment that network comes available God has said I have given it unto you now I got a story on this before I get to that story I want to say this devil you tried to shut us up you have tried to take us out you have tried to push us off the ledge but my god as the singer sang last week God said he would turn it around God said he would turn it around what the devil meant Babel oh my god I wish I could sing God God not Muhammed not the president not the Senate not Congress but my God my God my God has made it good my family and our awful vacation this was about five six years ago my wife and I were in the cab going somewhere we got a text Jill didn't from grace I believe it was and said are you listening to the service on Sunday morning we said no she said you need to we didn't have the TV app then we just had the radio app and i'm in this cab minivan Jill's sitting beside me the taxi cab driver is playing god knows what over the speakers it was something weird it's all I can say I mean it was bizarre wasn't talked but I don't know what it was it was just noise so I've got my phone out I put on that radio app and I heard the singers such sing it God said he would turn it around God said he would turn it around what the devil meant for evil God will turn it around for our good turn around turn around and what the great thing about it is as that speaker was as loud as it could be everything in me I was trying I was holding on to the seat because it was just a moment if it would have just had on moment I would have opened up that taxicab door in traffic on that Highway with that song blaring God said he would turn it around I would have took off running down that hallway but the special thing is that taxi cab driver as I had that music home whatever he was listening to I saw him reach forward and instead of tying it up he's begin to turn it down little by little and I saw his head with that right ear leaning back as far as it could to the moment when it got too low and start talking and people started shouting and people started running and people start of a joy sit I mean the Holy Ghost hit me he flicked that sucker down and all he said was looking right at me ah this big what am I saying God said what the devil meant for evil what the devil meant for evil what Satan Mick the heart God has turned it around for our good he's in every place that the sole of your foot shall touch I have given it unto you and as God set those boundaries he set our boundaries and that is the entirety of this world and guess what when those satellite goes up when that beam goes up 22,000 miles into the air and comes back down 22,000 miles and it hits that network when it comes home that is us fulfilling this every place every place every country where we used to be guess what we're coming right back we're coming right back he said every place that the sole of your foot shall touch I have given it to you in church he's saying the same thing to you he's saying the same thing to every single one of you watching by television by radio by the internet no matter what it is you've been having a pity party too long he's first telling you to get up then he's telling you every place that the souls of your foot that has been subdued by the enemy at one point you can subdue that part of your life because God has already won the victory he said turn around God said he would turn it around and thank God he has already begun to turn it around we're not waiting it's already happening it is already taking place the promised land is right ahead that Jordan may be right in front but guess what God is still able that as we take that foot and that step of faith and hit that river that is going to recede and begin to part and you know what there may be a Jericho in front because ad you after you cross that Jordan River expect to Jericho with walls staring down at you but God said you know what if you trust me if you trust me if you believe me that my hand is going to come down and smash that Jericho and push it into the ground so you can walk right in to your promised land but I'm here to tell you don't expect it to be easy Satan is going to fight but greater is He that is in me than he that is in this one now I'm going to close a little bit early but I'm gonna say this he told Joshua no man no man no man will stand before you as I was with Joseph as I was with Moses I will be with you mr. president I know you probably will not be watching but I pray by the grace of God you just happen to flick on some channel in Washington DC and come across this channel and say there's not want to tell you this no matter what law you sign no matter what you put into possession no matter what you put into this country god you're not able to stop what God is getting ready to do and what he has begun to do boss religion can stop what God is doing no Muslim can stop what God is doing no Pope can stop what God is doing no backflip Church can stop what God is doing God said he's going to turn it around God said he's going to turn it around turn around turn around turn around what you meant by evil devil God is going to make it good no man can stop this in time harvest no man is going to stop the gospel from reaching out to the four corners of the globe and as he was with Joshua he's with us as he was with Joshua he's with you as he was with Moses he is with us right now he just said now singers dishes make your way back I'm going to skip down to the last point he just said have I not commanded you he has commanded us to do this we're not doing this just to be famous we're not doing this just so that we can be on TV God has commanded us to do this I still remember like it was yesterday being in that boardroom spot six years ago this April would be our five-year anniversary of sunlight broadcasting network and I still remember being in that boardroom trying to talk about internet TV when Papa walks in and says forget all that right now God has told us to do this not only on internet but on television we all looked and said it can't be Don huh but God said God said it I said God said it I believe it and that settles it he has commanded us we just got to be strong keep the faith and a good courage because God is going to be with us no matter where we go God is going to be with us that means no devil can stand in front of this no demon can stand in front of this God has the final sing in every place that the souls of our foot shall touch God has not will has already given it to us church is time to possess the land that land is right before us it's time to claim it it's no longer sitting back and said what if we're strolling forward saying God is April God is able God is able it's time to possess the land you know we're able to go up and take the country and possess the land from Jordan Tennessee no chives maybe there are way to hinder it doesn't matter because God has already given us the victory stand your feet all across this building I want you to sing it if you can just for a moment and I want us to have a moment here in January just to believe God and say God you you've already promised it and you told us you commanded us to do this we're walking forward we're moving forward commanding us and believing that you've already given us the land one more time [Music] why Oh [Music] come on describe away [Music] right [Music] every place [Music] my telescope [Music] failures call [Music] check it now [Music] Oh over to God me
