It's haying season!

now guys i don't really i'm just going to make a video i'm just it's just complete chaos i mean i just been doing service calls all day long now i got a bearing out on this i got a baler we get a whole ass too until i get this figured out lost my damn striker so i'm going to use my propane torch i like my cutting torch this shield is ruined we're going to don't know if that's an eccentric lock on that bearing there yeah that's what it is it's eccentric lock that's natural conditioner that's the conditioner lower roller bearing so let me get a pipe wrench and see if i can turn it a little bit and see if we can get this eccentric lock off of here damn it just on the internet right now somebody's gonna have to wait the only one of me [Music] all right that should be an eccentric lock that's what that should be oh air hose let's see if i'm going the right way oh this one's got a set screw in it damn it i gotta turn it around get that set screw out i gotta keep going [Music] gonna set screw in okay be amazed if this comes out of there i'm gonna take the torch and just blow the whole thing right off oh smaller gets lucky huh i thought it'd be good enough to do what we need to do i'll just clean this up like this piper's on this way [Music] okay now i i got it loose but it's just not you know i'm not gonna sit here and mess around i've got too much to do here we go we're gonna freaking hard ass [Music] so [Music] so [Music] huh i can't believe uh all right piece of [Music] that ain't right [Music] all right finally get smart and back the spring off to take the tension off the rollers i'll show you what these look like that's the rollers right there conditioners take the tension off of them instead of fighting it now take this bottom bearing flange loose [Music] she moved [Music] here [Music] now she's acting right [Music] just a little warmer for the other race of the bearing [Music] i thought that would slide off of there but i know how to get it off liquid wrench [Music] [Music] all right she's off of there and get the bowling all blow that out of there [Music] so [Music] all right okay clean that shaft up a little bit get the new bearing and put it back together and they get eight of them in stock over there so i gotta send one of these guys over to get the bearings well we're heading to the baylor now it's supposed to be down here and i'll show you what it did what happened was the pickup they call the pickup that's that's what picks up the hay off the ground it's got a hydraulic cylinder on it on the left hand side of the baler by the way this is a massey ferguson 2270 3x4 baler and if that cylinder picks up the pickup and when you're most the time you do that when you're roading it if you're in the field you can leave it down if you have to some guys will raise them up when they when they get to the headland just depends on i guess what you want to do this one got stuck up there's a great big spring and recoil type assembly on the right hand side of the pickup assembly and for some reason the rod in it i'll show you when i get there it's kind of hard to explain you see it but it's got two rods and one side has a spring it's kind of like a shock absorber in case the pickup hits something on the ground and that rod got stuck in the bore of the guide that it goes in and it was kind of a when we pulled it off there we had to take the crane and just kind of put some tension on the uh the pickup assembly of the baler because it was just almost like a loaded gun you know because that spring was hung up so i actually got it off yesterday and went took it to the shop and put it in the press and got it unhung and uh cleaned clean the rod up the rod and the guide were galling really bad so anyway my ana seized it and put it all back together and ordered two rods i think the spacer and uh i think i ordered the sleeve dude i mean these guys here when they're bailing they're not if they don't care just fix it and the part we need to do is on the other side don't really think i'll need the crane but we'll have to raise that up we're gonna have to raise that assembly up though to take the tension off see when it's down it's got spring tension on it but here it is right here it looks like it's working now it's yeah this this whole thing raises up i'm going to show you here in a second well we gotta take this off let's see what we got for parts first and it's gonna rain and that's not good for hayden that is not good for hay in season is rain that's probably why those guys quit cutting early today because they didn't want to lay anymore hay down yeah this is all the parts right here i haven't set foot in the shop today i've been in the service truck all day long started out well that's a lie i put the hood on the 9620t and tidied things up in that this morning and then i had to go to a 61-25 m i was there for four hours i finally got the hitch calibrated and got it to where it was working again the way it's supposed to work and then that's going to be the sleeve and then i went to keno warden road and worked on a 2013 389 peterbilt pulling a belly dump and went and looked at his air conditioning and these are different rods so the guy's got to pay attention to what he's doing when he's doing it here this is the giant sleeve okay so let's get the tractor fired up raise it up because you can't take it off with the down cause it's got tension on it and they've got battery disconnects on all their tractors this is a tg275 i think that might be a 285 i don't remember no that's a near one that's a t8 300 right there these are the newer ones here with the common rails they don't have the i got a couple customers that's some tg285s that got 8.3 with caps pumps in them all right let's fire it up and i'm filthy i better not get in the seat we want to run number three and he's got it actually backwards you're gonna push forward to raise it up we're just gonna now if you swap them or something huh huh well he swapped it back and it was it was the brown one the other day he swapped it around get in here and so we need a 15 16. and don't worry i know everybody's gonna say oh yeah don't take that loose with that doesn't hold the header up especially when it's working she's on her way i had all the parts for this swathers this is the same company they've got hay spread out for about five miles here this is a big outfit here okay 15 16. i look at the center that sticks on everything driving down those red center roads they like their roots and the roads oh come on so what we got to do here guys is climb under here now that it's all freed up it won't be that bad to do this trying to find someone where i can set the camera i don't know i guess i guess back here on the axle i guess uh see it's all free now that's what it's supposed to do okay and then we'll all swing down okay now there's a roll pin yeah there's a big roll pin right here i'm gonna knock it out that's what holds that whole assembly in and then you almost got a swing left handed and here comes the rain and i'm not very good at swinging left-handed i'll tell you that right now practice makes perfect man damn it it's not working very well oh one looked at my buddy's belly dump he's got a couple trucks he's one he's logging with and the other one he's got a driver doing belly dump work with it air conditioner they put they did the air conditioner put the compressor on themselves and it was way over charged on oil so which you know hey they tried and i found that the uh sucker's kind of awkward he should be ready to come out of there all right lay that right there lay the punch in the hammer right there and then this whole thing will slide out of here which is there's a greaser in there too so we'll have to grease her up real good baylor's only got one year on it already having problems like this i've personally never seen one of these go out okay one rod out real easy okay so what i'm gonna do weather's closing in on me so it was in that hole right there should have been right there actually i'm wrong about that it was right there like that got a new sleeve yay [Music] okay right there basically in the first hole up pretty simple huh yeah it's in the first hole up you gotta keep track of the pins are offset see so it's going to be the ones further towards the back all right my washer is on here for spacers and there's no lube or anything on this but you can see that this one here this hole here is eccentric it's not even round anymore and that's what happened it got bound up in this this hole here never seen one do that okay spacer here goes in between here like so [Music] and the whole assembly [Music] look at this rod here look at the big step on that rod [Music] where it's all worn down oh yeah it's not looking so good yeah let's get her back on the baler are you not going in ah yeah that's not cool a little tighter huh huh there we go there we go if i can set this camera right here yeah that's not too bad huh put some hair on that hole all right okay put the roll pin in see that roll pan goes in right in that hole there's a groove in that shaft and then it just goes in that groove right there and keeps us working its way out i might as well just let's put the roll pin in before i tighten it up i know i'll tighten that sucker up and then i won't be able to get the roll pin or something goofy then i'll go back and wait for her to show up with the parts for the swather it may not do much anything it might just a lot of times you'll get these little thunder bumpers and it will rain almost just enough where you can actually get enough moisture to bail what are you doing to me this is an actual roll pin punch what are you doing okay it ought to go in there i need a light i can't see i just some of my customers they don't understand why i think they don't guys that aren't hating hateful i grew up hay farming that's what i grew up doing and that was my you know that's what my family did so when it comes to hand i know the importance of you know especially if it's going to rain it's kind of a big deal you want to get your together finally got the angle right i'm hitting the camera move the camera up a little bit oh you son of a i need to kind of get her almost flush very good full contact with that roll pin across here i don't want to have a problem just awkward because you try to swing the hammer right handed and you're hitting the chain guard there we go all right let me get grease gun and grease that up real good and then we'll we'll test her and make sure she goes up and down oh yeah i gotta tighten this dummy come on how do you turn this freaking line off well if i'm smart enough okay and that spacer allows those to not bind up on the by sandwiching that bolt together that all right that doesn't appear that i'm gonna get back to my international rebuilding the engine today it doesn't appear it's been about 14 hour day and i hadn't even got really you know the only thing i really got done at the shop that i wanted to get done was the 9620 because we're gonna load it on a lowboy saturday morning and well i left the battery disconnect on but let's test this thing and make sure she goes up and down up and down look at everything there's the monitor right there okay i'll leave it down that's where we had it all
