it's about to get real: Revelation 11 // Tom Hughes

so we are continuing the book of revelation remember that we've been in the revelation uh of jesus christ that is actually the name of the book of revelation it's not revelations it is the revelation of jesus christ if jesus passed jesus present jesus future in all of his glory and the book of revelation when you look at last days events it tells us how things are going to go down and before jesus comes back before he returns at the end of the tribulation period and and all of his glory and he rules and reigns from jerusalem going to be awesome so hence it's the revelation of jesus christ with that we're in chapter 11. we looked at two verses last sunday morning in chapter 11 verses 1 and 2 and we saw that in the last days there's going to be a temple that is going to be built in jerusalem so we covered that last week i have a lot more information on the temple if you go to hope for our times um but uh i don't want to go any further into that today because i want to look at the rest of chapter 11 and see what in the world is going on here okay now again this how it works out we've seen the four horsemen of the apocalypse after the four horsemen of the apocalypse and you have the fifth seal and then you have the sixth seal uh the sixth seal is where their stall starts to fall from the sky they plummet the earth and judgments are going crazy on the planet after that you have this the seventh seal that is open there's 144 000 jews that are saved and then you go into the trumpet judgments we saw the trumpet judgments already and then during the trumpet judgments you have 200 million demonic creatures that are going around the planet that are making life miserable for anybody who rejects the lord during the tribulation period okay so that kind of is we we've covered those things we've covered a lot more we've looked at the rapture of the church the rapture takes place then the judgments begin and then at the end of all the judgments jesus comes back to rule and reign on this earth okay so we're in this a middle part of the tribulation period the first half has happened i believe it's about ready to happen according to uh the bible we're going through as the bible is prophesying what's coming so the first half of the tribulation we're right in the middle of it right now and um we're going to see what takes place as i mentioned we've already seen that there's going to be a temple that's going to be built in jerusalem i believe on the temple mount and the rest of chapter 11 i believe we're going to see this right here that things are about ready to get real so you ready okay chapter 11 beginning in verse 3. god says to john i will give power to my two witnesses and they will prophesy 1260 days and they will be clothed in sackcloth these are the two olive trees and the two lampstands standing before the god of the earth you might think well why doesn't city the god of heaven because god created the earth a man likes to think uh he's he's created this thing he has not and if anyone wants to harm my two witnesses verse five fire proceeds from their mouth and it devours their enemies and if anyone wants to harm them he must be killed in this manner wow okay so real brief because if you don't if you're not familiar with this passage you're thinking this is nuts what is this during the first half of the tribulation period which i believe is shortly coming 1260 days it says here that'd be 42 months 1260 days is by the babylonian calendar of 360 days a year so 1260 days 42 months or three and a half years there are two witnesses in jerusalem that are they're prophets of god they are preaching the gospel of the lord jesus christ and the truth of god people hate them and they're going to hate them but when somebody tries to attack them says here fire comes out of their mouth wow like a dragon or like a superhero or i mean people see superheroes in movies now this is going to be really crazy and it will happen these two witnesses these two prophets have power verse 60 shut heaven so that no rain falls in the days of their prophecy and they have power over waters to turn them to blood and to strike the earth with all plagues as often as they desire wow these are two powerful witnesses think of elijah in the old testament a broad drought right on the planet um we that's what's happening here these two witnesses they're in jerusalem they're preaching the gospel for the first three and a half years of the tribulation period they can bring plagues to all of the planet during that time and don't make them mad because you're going to get cooked by fire that comes out of their mouths makes sense so far okay when verse seven they finish their testimony in other words there's been a lot of time that god has for them and words that he wants them to share when they finish their testimony the beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit will make war against them and overcome them and kill them whoa whoa whoa so nobody's able to kill these two prophets at all they get cooked but when god decides they've said everything he wants them to say they finish the three and a half years of their ministry he allows the beast aka antichrist filled with satan out of the bottomless pit to be able to kill these two men look at this and their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city that is jerusalem which spiritually is called sodom and egypt wow why is that spiritually because they it's spiritual adultery spiritual idolatry if you go to jerusalem today well today is probably not a great day to go there but in all seriousness there is all different kinds of religious observations from all kinds of things that people believe in tel aviv is i believe it's now the homosexual capital of the world but jerusalem is extremely religious did you know that they're almost two opposites but one of them is physically sodom in egypt that would be tel aviv but jerusalem says here spiritually sodom and egypt and then it says here where the city is where also our lord was crucified so there it's identified this is speaking of jerusalem event those from the peoples tribes tongues and nations speaking of people of the world that hate god that's what this is will see their dead bodies three and a half days and not allow their dead bodies to be put into the graves they are rejoicing they have shut up the the the beast the anti-crisis shut up these two prophets finally their voice is done don't move their bodies we want everybody in the world to see their bodies don't put them into the graves three and a half days let them lay there if those who dwell on the earth look at this will rejoice over them make merry and send gifts to one another like christmas celebrating why because these two prophets tormented those who dwell on the earth wow okay this is loaded well here let me see how quickly i can do this all right so in the beginning of the tribulation period there's a hundred and forty four thousand jews that are saved again rapture takes place after the rapture somewhere revelation 14 describes the 144 000 jews that are saved 12 000 out of each of the 12 tribes of jacob as the first fruits of the tribulation period 144 000 jews are saved and apparently here there's also two prophets these two prophets would also be jews the 144 000 are like the apostle paul preaching the gospel through the whole world and these two prophets are in jerusalem preaching the gospel and people do not like it in fact they hate it okay when it comes to understanding the book of revelation when it comes to understanding all bible prophecy you have to put israel in the center of it or it's not going to work nothing else none of the bible prophecies will have any time frame for a particular generation unless the jews have jerusalem unless the jews are restored back in the land of israel and the world turns against them i do not know how many of you paid attention to the news this week but i can tell you i'm going to tell you right now all right i am greatly greatly greatly troubled by what i have seen happen i pay a lot of attention to what's going on and i'm going to lay this out there since the jews in israel have given over the territory of gaza to what's now become hamas hamas is a terrorist organization they have launched 23 000 rockets as of just the other day into israel into the jewish neighborhoods of israel right i want you to think of this you're sitting in your house you're watching tv you're you're in a track home and all of a sudden a bomb lands on your neighbor's house 23 000 rockets and the world is saying you cannot defend yourself that is the news we are hearing just a few quick things and we're gonna move on in europe anti-israel protests descend into anti-semitism in los angeles just the other day i saw the video i wish i brought it up here for you i'll use it another time um it showed uh several i think it was 30 palestinians get out of some vehicles in los angeles go to a sidewalk cafe and ask people if they were a jew did anybody see this video several of you did as soon as it was confirmed one person was a jew they plummeted him all right this is reality as and things have quickly turned against jews and against israel okay zechariah chapter 12 prophesies that in that day speaking of the last days all the world will turn against israel chinese media u.s supports israel because of wealthy jews this is what the hitler regime said okay uh cnn writer world today needs a hitler these are true things that are out there uh this is from israel 365. turkey calls on international forces to conquer jerusalem this is from newsweek vladimir putin calls escalating israel conflict a direct threat to russia's security if you understand bible prophecy you know that russia turkey and iran are going to come against israel from the north led by russia i won't get into that right now but folks you need to be aware of the days that we live in life has changed and jesus is coming and we need to be ready okay courtesy of ben shapiro and let my people know have these stats number of jews in egypt 10 jews total population in egypt 100 million now i want you to understand this the world is saying israel has too much land what are they doing in the land they are the apartheid state they won't let muslims live in the land of israel which they do how many of you been to israel you see him everywhere these are lies that you guys are hearing on tv and i i am committed to telling you the truth okay here's here's the truth jesus is coming jesus came the first time and you better repent of your sins because if you have not your future is judgment in a place that the bible describes as hell and i am accountable to god to tell you the truth and i will tell you the truth you want to know what else jesus is coming again and the bible is full of signs hundreds and hundreds of signs of the second coming and we are watching this and the number one sign is the world turning against israel the united states of america our government government leaders are taking positions now as they have never done before to turn against israel and say they are an apartheid state to not allow israel to have weapons anymore but god will defend israel i know this because the bible tells us the bible is very clear that israel will stand the enemy of your soul satan himself wants to eliminate the jewish people from the planet because he knows there's only one chance he has affording the plan of god jesus says i will return to the jews and you will say blessed is he who comes in the name of the lord satan says i'm going to stop that from happening by eliminating the jews so jesus can't come back this is why we are we're watching a spiritual battle played out here in the world but i'm afraid for america but look at this in jordan there are zero jews 10 million total population in jordan and israel is the apartheid state although i think it's 1.9 million muslims live in the land of israel isn't it interesting saudi arabia zero jews out of 35 million total population lebanon 100 jews wow a big number out of seven million total population this is outrageous syria zero jews out of total population 17 million iraq four jews four out of a total population of 39 million iran 8 300 jews you might think well that's a lot is it really out of 83 million gaza zero jews i'm telling you this for two reasons one is because we're in the book of revelation chapter 11 and it all fits the other reason is that again i've already said we need to be aware of the days that we live in bible prophecy proves that the bible is true every prophecy of the first coming of christ jesus is fulfilled every prophecy of his second coming he will fulfill when we are watching all of it begin to come together so who are these two prophets that are in jerusalem i'll give you the three most popular views enoch is one of them uh why is that well these are two prophets in jerusalem living in the last days the first half of the tribulation period tribulation total length of seven years so it's three and a half years 1 260 days 42 months so enoch never died the bible tells us in genesis chapter 5 that enoch walked with god and he was not for god took him in other words he didn't die he was taken by god he was raptured so some people say well this one of these two prophets will be enoch because he didn't die he's going to come back and preach during the first half of the tribulation other people say well one of the prophets is elijah um i think it's quite likely elijah is one of these two prophets elijah represents the prophets by the way in malachi malachi chapter 4 the bible says behold i will send you elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the lord that is a prophecy of the last days jesus said to his detractors if you could have received it john the baptist was elijah but this is a prophecy and obviously they didn't receive jesus there's a prophecy specifically about judgment in the last days and god says i will send elijah the original elijah will appear before the lord comes back so i believe quite likely one of the prophets these two prophets definitely elijah the other possibility is moses so you have these are the three main ones the main possibilities two of these enoch elijah or moses me personally i believe these two these two um uh witnesses here prophets here are elijah and moses elijah represents the uh the prophets moses represents the law now think of this with moses also right his body has never been found did you know that in fact there's an argument about his body in jude verse 9. you michael the archangel in contending with the devil contending with satan disputed about the body of moses the jews never found his body uh michael and the devil have a dispute about his body i believe it's because moses is coming back before the great and dreadful day of the lord to preach repentance and satan doesn't want that to happen so elijah moses the the prophets and the law representing both of those by the way i want to mention this also to you in luke chapter 16 here's another reason i believe this is moses in luke chapter 16 you have the passage where jesus tells the story of the rich man of lazarus you have the rich man that's in the one compartment and he's burning up and he says it's miserable uh have lazarus dip his his finger and touch my tongue and and uh see he got he's there in abraham's bosom and abraham says to this man the rich man that's on the one side and he's got lazarus in the good side it's luke chapter 16 in case you're wondering abraham says to this rich man the rich man asks i beg you therefore that you would send him to my father's house since lazarus to my father's house raise someone from the dead i have five brothers that he may testify to them lest also they come to this place that you said abraham they also come to this place of torment abraham says to him they have moses and the prophets let them hear them and he said no father abraham but if one goes to them from the dead they will repent in other words if lazarus comes out of the grave and goes to them the people will repent but he said to him if they do not hear moses and the prophets neither will they be persuaded the one rise from the dead do you understand what's going on there raise up somebody from the dead this is from hades raise up somebody from hades this place of torment because it's really miserable and i don't want my five brothers to come here abe says if someone comes back from the dead your brother still won't repent that is not going to change them they have the word of god they have the word of abraham they have the word of truth they won't repent or somebody coming back from the dead i believe this is another reason why it's going to be elijah and moses moses coming back from the dead being in jerusalem is going to prove the words right here that are in matthew chapter luke chapter 16. even if moses comes back from the dead the people of the world will still not repent heavy stuff okay let's move on from here who are these two prophets i believe elijah and moses what do they do tells us here when they finish their testimony the beast descends out of the bottomless pit their prophets of god were told in here in the passage they have a testimony and then at the end of this verse 10 it says they torment those who live on the earth that's what the gospel of jesus christ does it torments those who do not want to hear this message what is their testimony the the the holy spirit the testimony of the holy spirit you know what it was was jesus christ the holy spirit came to testify of jesus christ if you have a christian testimony what's your testimony it's not about how bad you were although a lot of christians tend to go that way only with their testimony your testimony is you once were lost but now you are founders to the glory of jesus these are prophets of god they have a testimony about yeshua and their message torments the people who kills them already said this verse seven it's the beast out of the bottomless pit i believe satan at this point fills uh antichrist with he possesses him and he's able to he's the one who's able to kill these two prophets the only one who's able to kill them by the way again i believe it's to me it's obvious this is at the midpoint of the tribulation again they are preaching 1260 days three and a half years they are preaching preaching preaching satan at the middle of the tribulation he sits in the temple demanding to be worshipped as god second thessalonians chapter 2 daniel chapter 9. jesus in matthew chapter 24 verse 15 the abomination of desolation and it's when satan fills antichrist he kills the two prophets he sits in the temple demands to be worshipped as god and then massive persecution starts against all the jews where the jews are fleeing to a place that i believe is a petra but notice what happens here their bodies lay in the street for three and a half days and the people are celebrating like christmas they hate they hate the message that they give it is tormenting the people of the world i'm going to show you a couple more things all right because i believe we see this um growing this hatred towards the truth growing exponentially here's this the biggest problem right now is christians that actually believe this is true right there's not a lot you do know the number is much smaller now within churches where people believe the bible is true that won't ask you this i've asked you before do you believe it's true okay so this is what new york times said recently blaming evangelicals for potentially extending the covet pandemic okay now this is just a rhetoric but this here's the problem if you are a bible-believing christian and you believe in the prophecies of the second coming of christ then these things that i'm saying to you you might not understand them all today but you you understand that this is truly god's word and you'll grow in your your knowledge and understanding of the prophecies with that you stand in the way of the devil's plan to eliminate the jewish people the christian problem must be eliminated in order for daniel for uh the devil to fulfill his plan the christian problem when i say the chris trump i mean the christian that believes that this is true and is willing to to uh uh to proclaim the gospel of jesus christ and by the way i believe stand with israel let me let me go here for a minute so we have a christian problem but you again you're looking at the tribulation period the focus is going to switch to not just people who come to faith in christ at that time but jewish people all together just across the board jewish people so anti-semitism according to the bible is going to increase tremendously folks we are watching it okay um i've showed you this before can you guys see israel in this map so this gives you an idea of how big israel is right it's huge isn't it the whole world is bothered and say israel has too much land the world is coming against israel god says in genesis chapter 12 verse 3 i'll bless those who bless thee i'll curse those who curse thee i'm afraid the united states of america has entered into the place of cursing israel and god says i will curse you i think we're in enormous trouble the world is bothered by this tiny little place that is trying to defend itself and told you're not allowed to defend yourself you're the bully to the world how many of you remember andrew yang he was running for president for democrat party okay now he's running for mayoral candidate in new york city when israel went to defend themselves last week new york city mayoral hopeful andrew yang was attacked for supporting israel over in israel you have different hot points where violence has been breaking out civil unrest riots that were for the most part peaceful areas until uh things started to get heated up by the way the real focus of everything is the temple mount that's the bullseye of all this stuff that's why turkey says need to take the muslims need to take full control of the temple mount and so forth but one of the cities where this this writing has been has taken place is in a city called lude uh and this out of ruth shave it calls a crystal knocked in what was crystal knocked in november of 1938 the nazi regime really stepped up their persecution against the jews crystal knock means um crystal night and it refers to the night of the broken glass and this name crystal nox that comes from the shards of broken glass that littered the streets after the windows of jewish-owned stores and buildings and synagogues were smashed so you're watching that going on israel but we're watching the anti-semitism in europe we're watching what happened in los angeles just the other day as i mentioned we're watching this folks in 1938 jewish homes on this day uh hospitals and schools are ransacked as attachers attackers demolished buildings with sledge hammers rioters destroyed 267 synagogues throughout germany austria and sudland over seven thousand jewish businesses were damaged or destroyed and thirty thousand jewish men were arrested and encouraged incarcerated uh in uh concentration camps we think of i i look at what's going on today and my mind goes back to pictures like this one from the holocaust auschwitz and and on down the list because there are a lot of death camps and then i'm reminded again of these words from ben shapiro and um let my people know egypt there's 10 jews total population of 100 million jordan's zero total population 10 million saudi arabia zero population 34 million lebanon 100 population 7 million syria 0 population 17 million iraq iv population 39 million iran 8 300 population 83 million gaza zero and the world is saying all these problems are israel's fault they don't have a right to defend themselves with the iron dome jonathan pollard quoting uh in an article from ruth ruth shiva said god gave us this land not the united states and i think the united states government seems to think we've given israel the land this is what i know for sure israel will stand the jews will not be eliminated god wins and anybody that comes against israel will go down in history as another name of nations that's scratched off god even tells us in the book of joel he will judge every nation zechariah chapter 12 he will judge every nation that comes against israel and it's going to happen at a time when the whole world is against israel this is wicked what is happening this is evil what is happening you don't have to agree with me that is fine a whole lot of people don't agree with me i've gotten used to that but i would encourage you now is the time as a bible-believing christian to stand with israel to recognize the days that we live in although i know the direction it's going to go i will be on god's side i will do what god tells me to do not because all jews are perfect but because of god's plan and i know this that i'm not perfect either so when i look at jonathan pollard's article god gave us this land not the united states it's true god made a covenant with abraham isaac and jacob a forever covenant bible says this forever it's an everlasting covenant you know how long everlasting is it's really long so you can't measure it but i know this god made a covenant with his son and if i can't trust god to keep his covenant with his people the jews who he says in the new testament he will keep his covenant if i can't trust him to keep his covenant with the jews how can i expect him to keep this covenant with us that whoever believes in jesus christ will not perish but have everlasting life god would be a covenant breaker god would be a liar satan is a liar he's the father of lies and i know although there are jews who have done wicked things guess what there are gentiles who have done wicked things although i know there are jews who are sinners all of them i know there are gentiles who are sinners all of them everyone so i don't stand with israel because they're perfect i stand with israel because of god and god's plan and what god tells me to do there's a lot more i could say on this but i'll save it for another time and by the way it doesn't mean all palestinians are bad people too the palestinian people are suffering tremendously because what hamas does at hezbollah to the north they fire their rockets from schools and hospitals and wherever they can apartment buildings they fire their rockets out there put their missile silo in there whatever it's called it launches out of there the kids are there so when israel retaliates they put their own children and their own women in the way of israel's retaliation and then cnn and all the news of the west says look at how horrible israel is look what they've done by the way the left news or the news in america even the right news does not report that rockets from gaza as of the other day their own rockets landed on their own people but that was retaliated as deaths that israel did what we were watching is wicked but i got to finish this as much as i can now after three and a half days we're almost done this probably takes four more minutes now after three and a half days the breath of life of god entered into the two prophets remember they were dead in the streets for three and a half days god breathed into them and these two men stood on their feet and great fear fell on those who saw them uh-oh and they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them come up here and they ascended to heaven in a cloud and their enemies saw them wow in the same hour there was a great earthquake and a tenth of the city fell in the earthquake seven thousand people were killed and the rest were afraid and gave glory to the god of heaven the second was passed behold the third woe was coming quickly i mean you gotta imagine this it appears that the world is watching these two prophets they are celebrating remember every tribe nation tongue they're celebrating they're dead let's give gifts to one another like christmas they're watching i think we're in trouble oh yeah you are oh yeah you are um oh let me show you this first five more minutes give me five more minutes okay so check this out this is like a drawing of satellites that are out there amazon is involved in this elon musk by far the most prolific and launching satellites you guys know who elon musk is right 5g satellite you know people complain about it you aren't going to get away from it literally you aren't going to get away from 5g because you'll be tracked like that i mean you were tracked before now you're really going to be tracked facial scans and everything but as we look at this i think back i used to hear well now cnn is everywhere so when the two prophets are in the streets everybody will see them no no no that's not how it worked that couldn't have been the case with tv the way it was but now with phones and everything else and with 5g technology everybody in the world will be able to watch real time look at them they're still dead leave them in the streets for three and a half days so we can all watch they're still dead let's give gifts right all of a sudden everybody's looking at the same time by the way this 5g technology and satellites being everywhere in the world and all this kind of stuff taking place it never could have happened in the generation in the past i find this fascinating just think through this with me for 30 seconds and then i'll get on to the last five minutes now i can't no i'm almost done um there's never if you look now we have these super billionaires not just millionaires but they're super billionaires elon musk jeff bezos bill gates right on down the list there is way more money these men have more money than nations have the majority of nations these are individuals they have so much money that they are able to take their money into research and development of their tech industry nations never would have been able to throw that much money into the tech industry to be able to create this but god raised up a generation for a particular time that all the technology would be in place for this plus a lot more which will be for another message at another time folks it is fascinating the days that we live in think of this this comes from my devotion this morning okay i i read my devotions from all different kinds of bibles this morning i was reading from this particular bible isaiah chapter 59. it's a it's a it's a bible version that's very easy to understand i typically teach from new king james there's not king james but i thought this is easy to understand listen to this listen the lord is not too weak to save you and he's not becoming deaf he can hear you when you call but there's a problem listen to all of this your sins have cut you off from god because of your sin he has turned away and he will not listen anymore your hands are the hands of murderers and your fingers are filthy with sin your mouth is full of lies and your lips are tainted with corruption no one cares about being fair and honest their lawsuits are based on lies does this sound like now they spend their time plotting evil deeds and then doing them they spend their time and energy spinning evil plans that end up in deadly actions they cheat and shortchange everyone nothing they do is productive all their activity is filled with sins the violence is their trademark their feet run to do evil they rush to commit murder they think only about sinning wherever they go misery and destruction follow them they do not know what true peace is or what it means to be just and good they continually do wrong it is because of all this evil that deliverance is far from us for our sins are piled up before god and testify against us our courts oppose people who are righteous and justice is nowhere to be found truth falls dead in the streets and fairness has been outlawed yes truth is gone and anyone who tries to live a godly life is attacked the lord looked and was displeased to find that there was no justice he was amazed to see that no one intervened to help the oppressed he will repay his enemies for their evil deeds his fury will fall on his foes in distant lands it sounds like today but there's good news the redeemer will come to jerusalem says the lord to buy back those in israel who have turned from their sins if this is my covenant with them says the lord my spirit will not leave them and neither will these words i have given you they will be on your lips and on the lips of your children and your children's children forever i the lord have spoken for those who repent and turn to the lord i actually have a lot more notes but i have to stop i'll pick up here next week i will we'll pick up here next week here's the deal um i'll tell you what let me go to the very last slide just because um these are the words jesus when you see all these things begin to happen look up and lift up your heads because your redemption draws near i'm going to give you a warning i believe hell will be full of people who have been baptized who did good things who didn't smoke who didn't chew who didn't chase girls who did we need jesus we need to repent and i hope that that is where this church is at and understand the days we live in but what is happening to israel and anti-semitism is only going to increase and you need to be aware of what's going on because you have the opportunity to say you know i'm going to live for god i'm going to stand up for jesus christ and his people and he says i am coming back to my people and i'm going to rule and reign from jerusalem i would encourage you to do a couple of things all right this is up to you if you're online or here find a local synagogue there's one out here in our valley and call them up and let them know you stand with them if you find out they get defaced we go by and paint we go by you go by take some friends take me whatever we paint we help them we let them know that we stand with them because we know what the bible says there's a lot more to this i would encourage you this week all kinds of rallies are breaking out right now as as the jews are being faced they're afraid to wear the keepers out anymore start a rally here this pro-israel in in in our valley and hemet and san jacinto say this is what we're going to do and you get flags out and you stand you you stand with god as you stand for his people folks i believe the time is that short it is that short and may we live for god and be about our father's business or we thank you for your word may you be glorified help us to live for you in jesus name amen
