this is Louisville running back Isaac gindo it's hard to run a 43340 at 223 lbs and obviously that's what we're looking for in our running backs that's 99th percentile weight adjusted speed among all drafted running backs he's a little bit older 24 years old already it was a long process to get actually on the radar started at Wisconsin finally ended up at Louisville as a redri senior still suck in a committee and I think that's going to be kind of there's maybe a reason for that the only average 76 rushing yards uh per game there but the yards after the contact numbers are there because if he does knock you over he's got the long speed to break off a massive run he's a rare athlete and I mean it's really shocking when you go and look at his Mark mock draftable chart uh like you said 6 foot 221 pounds let's just run through these 43340 and a 1551 yard split yeah a 97% to vert 95th per top broad jump 71st per style three cone uh and you did see some of that explosion coming into effect when reeling off massive massive runs um in fact he had 14 carries of 15 plus yards this past season seventh best Mark in the class with 4.11 yards after contact but only 66 percentile when it comes to miss tackles Force per attempt and I almost saw two different sides of Isaac gindo's game when watching almost all of his carries last year too often especially pre the Virginia Tech game it felt like ankle grabs brought him down either when cutting off a defensive end or a corner closing down or a safety filling the alley I said to myself I wish a freak athlete got more there because I knew of what Isaac gindo's athleticism was at that point but something flipped in the Virginia Tech game and by the way uh it seemed like everyone including Tyrone Tracy ran all over Virginia Tech this past season but something happened there where I thought the rest of the season he was better in those instances he was creating more yards on his own so I don't know if it was just more playing time at the position after he transferred from Wisconsin to Louisville or he was carrying an injury whatever but again I saw more like Jackel and Hyde stuff from him than I was expecting for the entire season I think in general I didn't see his athletic traits fully translate to the onfield production there was a couple times you run through one arm tackle he's got the speed no question about that he looks awesome in a uniform but I thought that he was just indecisive at the line of scrimmage we keep talking about that this year that half of the battle at running back is making a fast decision hitting the hole I thought he was very lackluster in that and then also he runs pretty high like high pad levels and I think that's why he kind of gets chopped down a little bit too easy at the contact point so I don't think that his contact balance was all that special despite being such a crazy athlete so he's G have to clean up those two issues there and both of those things are a little bit experience-based issues and we'll see if he actually gets any Touches at the next level because he is pretty raw just in terms of how many touches he's had even though he's he's been in college football for four or five years I will add now the biggest positive that I saw from him I think he's excellent in the passing game yep I think he's really strong in pass protection he'll ride a blitz from one side of the quarterback to the other to keep that pocket clean he's almost an escort in that situation there were a lot of free rushers that Louisville was allowing through because of pressure packages and he was identifying them relentlessly I also felt he was a really good swing receiving running back even to his inside hip a little but outside of his frame not perfect throws and with that catch that he had to adjust to he would still continue his momentum and pick up yards after it so in the league this is great for him like he can immediately come in I think as a role playing third down passing down receiving back if these pass protection elements translate to the league and maybe because I don't expect them to be drafted until day three maybe we see some of those athletic elements as a runner kind of form into more of a perfect picture once he gets those opportunities in the NFL we have the same notes I have a round five grade on him my running back 12 so a little bit buried down there but in my notes I say there's manufactured touch potential as a receiver via screens and swings to the flats so yeah I think his hands were a little bit up and down dropped a couple passes there and like the the production in general we're talk about bottom fourth percentile once you adjusted for age and the team that he's on so he's going to be an outlier if he hits obviously he's at least got the athletic traits to back him up I think on tape he did remind me of Israel abanda who had this straight line explosive speed but also ran a little bit upright did not see that much elusiveness same thing with Isaac greno Ben Tate was somebody that was kind of a a height weight speed comp and then if you really want to dream which I'm not same thing with like Joseph VI who obviously was way better than Isaac genda was can I throw a blast from the passes like a floor comparison who sometimes was a middling comparison okay Kristen Michael yeah yeah people loved right because the potential was always there and again I want to stress that to me athleticism doesn't matter as much to running backs as it does other positions I will add if you're talking about sixth seventh and undrafted for agents I think athletic testing is a way to find intriguing running back talents you can go from Raheem moart you can go from Matt breida you can go to Mike Boone for example who was more of a pass catcher and then got some opport opportunities here and there and obviously has kind of flamed out and fizzled out since then but I do think Isaac gindo start his buzz early in draft process at like the shrine game and so I would expect probably fifth or sixth round and not in that seventh or undrafted for agent a and the other thing that he has he has special teams experience so I think that makes him like the ideal running back three you got to play some special teams maybe you get a couple touches per game if if he earns them and then we'll go from there but yeah I think I think he's a long shot to like truly matter I just think that there was just too many things on tape that just to me are kind of sticking points you got to be faster at the line of scrimmage you got to run a little bit uh lower with your pad level to make the most of your athletic trait but I would not be surprised on special teams he's out there and he's g s around yeah yeah all right that does it go and watch the other running back videos that we have or wide receivers or quarterbacks we have something for you so click the Channel watch another and we'll see you at the end of that one [Music] oh [Music]
