Is this the ultimate HiLux build? Offroad Animal style!

behind me is a toyota hilux n80 this is an my21 version now toyota's making this vehicle look better and better with each facelift but off-road animal is going to do a facelift of our own we got big plans for this vehicle here we got a predator bar lights winch antenna uhf rock sliders rear bar camping gear out in the back with an adventure rack the whole kit caboodle for this hilux we're gonna turn it from timid to off-road animal wild get ready let's get going [Music] first up we're putting on the off-road animal predator cool thing about the predator it's a complete bumper replacement no cutting of the bumper so we're just going to whip off this factory bumper and slap on the predator bar now i'll show you how we really do it [Music] so [Music] [Applause] [Music] all right now we've got the factory bumper pulled off we've got the offered animal impact absorbers on these allow for adr compliance so what happens is they'll crush in during an impact if you have an impact they'll make sure your airbags still work however they're super strong down the bottom and we got the 20 mil steel recovery points as part of the mounts you get them as standard so now all we need to do is adjust the mounts to suit the bar and we're away and running all right hey [Music] so we've got the driving lights on top of the bar and the 22 inch light bar inside the bull block now we normally put the factory fog lights in the wings but instead we're going to be putting an offered animal 8 inch light so our brackets allow you to put a different driving light arrangement in the wings or run the factory fogs up next is the winch now most winches are designed to go feet down that's how they mount from the factory r-bar allows that straight through the front of the bar as you can see the bar is already on you don't need to take the bar off later to put the winch on bar stays on put the winch in if you ever need to do maintenance on the winch the bar stays on the lights stay on you don't have to worry about all that [Music] [Applause] [Music] hey [Music] [Music] so we took the highlights the dobbinsons to get a two-inch suspension lift fitted dobson put their mra kit on which is a three-stage adjustable suspension kit so you can adjust the rebound on top of the shaft on the shock on the strut you can adjust the high and low speed compression on the canister itself this allows you to dial in that ride for whatever setup your highness is on or whatever terrain you're riding on fantastic ability there now with every hilux suspension that's getting a bit of a lift you really do need a new upper control arm which corrects your suspension geometry now this lift allows us enough room to put a new wheel and tire on so we have the dirty lock wheels over here which are 17 by nine wrapped with max's mud terrains these razor ties here are 285 70 17. the rim is a zero offset so when we put it on we're going to need to put some flares on just to cover them up a bit let's get it on so [Applause] [Music] up next for the hilux is the offred animal scout roof rack the scout roof rack is a great low profile rack now i want to point out one cool feature about this rack well there is many but this one really cool one the offroad animal extrusion that runs along the top it's got a t-slot all the way around the extrusion which allows you to put any sort of accessories you want there anything going there doesn't have to be our accessories can be anybody's so you see we got a tie-down point here here's a standard m8 bolt straight in or a standard m8 nut straight in so you can go to any hardware store bunnies whatever to pick up your nuts and bolts you don't have to buy specialty nuts to go on your rack like i said all the way around now it's time to put this one together and put it on the car i'm going to put this one together in real time faster than anybody you want to tie me let's go that was fast no all jokes aside it takes about 10 minutes to put it all together now it's together we've got the tracks on the roof let's lift it up put it on get going [Music] this is the factory toyota side step here great as a step but leave a lot to be desired when you're heading off-road we'll be putting on the offered animal rock sliders those are comprised of as heavy duty backbone steel step and steel chassis brackets let's get it on now that we got the three chassis brackets on the chassis we've got the step on the backbone it's time to put them all on together [Music] [Applause] [Music] the alfred animal rock sliders are on it's time for the rear the factory rear setup is not bad but we need a bit more protection so we're going to be putting on the off-road animal rehab which is also a 3.5 ton rated tow bar [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] all right we've got the factory toyota bumper removed it's time to get some serious protection on offroad animal rear bar also a three and a half ton tow bar let's get the bad boy on [Music] [Music] [Music] do [Music] [Music] and that's it for the off-road animal rear bar tow bar quick and easy install up next is the offered animal adventure rack which goes on top of this trick egr electric roll track which is electric operated now on top of the roll track we're gonna put the off-road animal rail that goes on top of rollers and then on top of that the adventure rack it's gonna look nice [Music] [Music] all right we've assembled the adventure rack and we've put it on the hilux as you can see it's a very easy install adjustable to suit most applications now it's quite universal in the gear that you can put on it we're opting for a large toolbox in the middle a smaller two blocks on the outside and two water jerry cans over here near me and we're going to put a shovel here on the outside that's easy to access now you can also put things like a high lift jack or axes or whatever it's really su a lot of different brackets will fit on here it can be any universal bracket or bracket from somebody else it will go on here so we're going to use quick fist for the shovel let's get it on [Music] all right the build is finished but this baby's not just for show this hilux is built for adventure we're up in the victorian high country we've got plans for river crossings a hill climb or two and some lovely views it's gonna be epic [Music] [Music] [Music] so [Music] [Music] [Music] how epic is this spot speaking of epic this hilux here we got the predator bar in front which is great for going through the tracks that awesome approach angle ability to take a winch lights antenna fantastic for all those tracks we did today also for protection we've got the rock sliders and the rear bar really needed for some of those hill climbs now all your camping gear is catered for with the roof rack and the adventure rack you got your awning your tent your water your chainsaw all of it's catered for we've turned this hilux from timid to off-road animal wild [Music] [Music]
