Is there burning smoke coming from the White House tunnels? Let me show you what I saw and read.

so over the last couple days i've got a lot of questions from you guys concerning smoke coming out of the ground near the white house the ellipse and well i have a really good idea what it is but show not tell so i'm down here at the white house that's actually the constitutional white house is just around the corner let me show you what i found and then i'll show you what i've researched and i'll let you decide let's see if i go across the street here i think we may have to get out our other camera a lot of cars tonight it's kind of hard to tell but there's actually three vents they're almost in a straight line from where i'm standing connecting over to the building behind me the organization american states let's go down to the south side should be able to see all three of them differently only cash today i gave a guy money the other day i don't think he even knew i was giving it to him he looked up at me with this stare that said i'm not really on this planet right now poor guy all of the smoke seems to be in a direct line from where i'm standing right here connecting the department of commerce behind me and heading over to d-a-r-o-a-s and the west end government buildings it's pretty far distance we can just see it coming up over that minivan in the foreground there's a few vents behind there as a general observation it's actually really really warm uh back there when you walk past that vent it's all hot wet moist air coming up i can't be sure but that kind of looks like the beast up there president's limo i know that the president has an event at about 11 30 today he's visiting a small business that's been impacted by covet or coveted relief somewhere in the dc area i don't know where exactly but there will be a motorcade probably not going to film that one today i think you guys get bored seeing the motorcades so these buildings here are the old security gate houses they're used to there's one on this side i think there's four of them around they're not used anymore so i have a theory and i think i can prove that theory with this lens cap if i can get this thing off hang on man that thing was on tight it's not really a lens cap per se there we go this should prove so here's the glitch there's a big vent coming right out of the middle of 17th street right next to the old executive office building in the white house i want to go in that vent but jumping out in the middle of the street where there are cars coming in front of one of the most guarded fortified and camera buildings in washington dc well that's going to raise some red flags so we have to think of a plan b and i think i just found one this will work oh man this thing's loud as heck fix these bikes see this this bike is silent they can't hear me coming well maybe not and there it is the lights just turn we're gonna wait till we get some red lights no there's a cop in the road too what is this yep it's steam so basically i do have to run into the traffic because the lights keep changing the lights effectively give three or four cars the right to get into the thing i just want to film this this woman is letting me film it there we go you see that that steam that fogged up my glass okay let's go get out of here honestly i have lost track of how many times i have filmed this part of the video either the volume was wrong the microphone was off a helicopter was going by a leaf blower i don't know it's been a bit crazy anyway i'm going to do it now i'm going to finish it promise so what you guys saw what did you see on my lens cap or my lens filter that i stuck into the smoke coming out of the street and you saw condensation you saw results of steam there is a steam tunnel network in washington dc that connects all the government buildings there are seven miles of steam tunnels including five miles of steam pipeline or in addition there's a five miles of pipeline so 12 miles of pipes pushing steam from one central plant to over 71 government buildings in downtown washington dc the central heating plant run by the heating operations and transmission division of the general services administration produces high pressure steam and chilled water that it distributes downtown washington dc to various government agencies and organizations the central heating plant is a famous 1930s art deco building it's in the national register of historic buildings and is located at 13th and d street southwest i actually drove by so you guys can see what it looks like it's kind of a cool looking building for you know power generation slash heating generation type buildings finding current information on the steam tunnel network is well kind of difficult due to security concerns in washington dc that have popped up over the last few decades you won't find a lot of information on the steam tunnels however i went on a deep dive into the library of congress's archive and i found a 1946 map of downtown washington dc that clearly shows the steam tunnels running from the central heating plant all over to the government buildings including the white house the department of state which is now the old executive office building and one line that runs directly across the ellipse pretty much exactly where you saw the steam coming up on the ellipse in my video now there's not a lot of information about what's inside the steam tunnels there are a few photographs that have been released by various contractors who have done work on this tunnels over the years but i kind of lucked out today i found a repair crew that was going down into the manholes and well they left the manhole open so i filmed down into the manifold and you guys can see what's there basically a lot of dirt and water hot water steam power portable boilers and they're working in this hole i think and this one runs pretty much directly in line with those vents down there [Music] now the steam venting is nothing new it's been going on literally for decades most people in washington don't even pay any attention anymore because it's just always there it goes on 24 7 as far as i could tell i went out last night and as you'll see from this video i drove down 17th street and the steam was coming out i then parked over on the ellipse and you can kind of see the steam coming out of the grass in the middle of the night it's just one of those things about washington just the same way that steam vents are kind of the same thing going on in manhattan as i've always said with my videos i try to show not to tell showing you what i saw and i've shown you what i've researched i'm going to put links in the description so you guys can do your own research you can do your own investigations and you can come to your own conclusions but
