Is the Worst Hero in Hearthstone’s Twist Mode Actually Playable Now?

what up Chompers today we're delving into twist and playing kathon the new kathon with 80 health so kathon was the worst deck in Twist from the start but they just buffed it in a major way it jumped from like 45 Health to 80 health and I wanted to see if it's playable and what do you know I won my first game with it against alakir of all heroes which is a really good hero and I got really excited but guess what it was all a mirage this deck is no good very bad it sucks even at 80 health I went one in five with this deck and honestly it felt so bad that I just stopped playing it it really is that bad when you get to your first Mulligan you'll probably think WTF because you'll see frostwolf kennels and bees and it'll just seem like this disassociated grab bag of random stuff but you'll quickly realize that this is sort of in a way the ultimate token deck see it makes sense that this is a token deck because your passive is that kathon grows plus one plus one for every two Minions that die so you want to be generating a lot of tokens and true to form this deck possesses a lot of token generators from Druid Warlock and Shaman as you play though you'll you'll also realize that it's a lot of token generator but no token payoffs darkshire councilman which has never been a good card believe me I've tried it is the best you've got as a token payoff I don't know why they didn't dip into demon Hunter's token cards because this deck is crying out for wrath scale Naga it would be great to have some way of leveraging your tokens dealing damage to the board or face chipping down your opponent clearing the board something it needs something but alas this deck has nothing to leverage tokens other than cathon itself most of your cards generate small value minions 1 ones two tws so you're laying out these Boards of tiny minions and hoping they can measure up against the huge Minions that your opponent is pumping out and of course they can't so what are you really relying on in this deck the removal and the hero power now the removal in this deck is pretty spotty trial vi5 is the best you've got but swipe grimoire of sacrifice they only deal two and one to the board so you're really not chewing through big boards with this deck and remember this is a Highlander deck so you're going to be less likely to draw any one removal card that you need when you need it so what are you left with you're left with the hero power which is one Mana discover a cathon follower but don't look now kathon followers suck it's a pretty big pool there's a lot of variants the best hard removal is seven Mana blade of cathon it's a rogue card you don't even main deck it so you're just hopeless against a giant long story short this deck is terrible and it won't get better until they change the passive to buff kathon for every one minion that dies Mulligan guide coming up next so the Mulligan for this deck doesn't really matter because you're going to lose anyway but you generally want your early game you want your One Drops you want Cactus construct Forest seedlings Wicked shipment and then for two drops I would say mining casualties is a keep but throw everything else away what you want to do is start pumping out tokens so you can buff cathon and get cathon to a size suitable enough so that it destroys your opponent game play coming up nextus good girl my dreaming ends your nightmare begins okay this is Joe Joe this is already a weird deck um I guess I keep I mean in a druid in a in a in a Tre and deck you keep plot of sin let's try it has at least 10 attack gain plus five Health what just [Music] happened why did I go up to 80 Health time hold on um loot hoarder all right kathon 80 health I'm Googling it twist 80 health [Music] I guess I just want to thinking play a lot of minions to buff up kathon hey give me that cuz there's no airf flow why cuz my parents never put the air conditioning [Music] the I'm not sure they'll allow it yes all right he's going dark Shire councilman and wicked shipment next I have like basically no spells in hand so glowly swarm sucks but that's [Music] good [Music] huh what does this do gain plus five health so my cathon doesn't have enough so I need to just keep buffing up my kathon this is like a shitty play but not right it's a shitty play okay he's going to play one of his big tainted Remnant it's not a um okay I can plot of sin next turn and Thorn growth [Music] centries okay oh oh chaotic [Music] consumption uh I would destroy that seven for he can just wind Fury into that Frost bites sharper than okay you Twilight Elder because like do you hear it cold I protect closely I did Twilight because the one that he can just kill the one that Buffs when things die first and he won't do anything okay that's sort of picking a path between Cactus construct and then playing the two drop next turn or Wicked Shipman Trader make your ch I don't think Shader is a particularly powerful play um I will do bone flinger for the beauty of synergy of the undead death there we go my bone flinger is active in my Folly I am so chaos okay dream cards this will never be active again actually no I don't [Music] think imps are not Undead are they they're demons bees is good earlier game removal and it's also like one of my best activators for cathon maybe I coin out two two drops haunted creeper and [Music] Shader deck has no draw so I'm thinking like Wicked shipment might be it's also something I can combo with chaotic [Music] consumption when I need to so maybe I do hit the hero power um nothing's going to really need that I'm not going to play the bone flinger I could play the dark eroa but I think clearing up that 55 is nice and I get two deaths out of it one by one yeah it was definitely a nice turn what is this called keeper of souls Usher of souls it's putting in work right now now I can play veor next turn if that feels good and big in that'll be annoying that's annoying I'm that's also dragons in his deck to draw and I'm just left with the most random pile of this deck is unplayable this deck is unplayable at 80 Health it's unplayable goodbye Slumber more yeah that's how I feel I feel like I just resolved into a goo for
